My cat passed away, and it was really important to me to give him a natural burial rather than cremation. Since I live in an apartment and didn't have a place to bury him, I'm so grateful there's a pet cemetery nearby. The people at Pet's Rest were incredibly kind and gentle, and they treated the whole process with so much care and sensitivity. It truly meant a lot during such a difficult time.

I needed cremation services for my beloved pet who passed away. I called the crematorium, scheduled a cremation service, and requested a witness and pickup. After the call, they promptly came to collect the remains. The cremation was scheduled about a week later. When I arrived at the location, Mr. Julio provided me with a detailed explanation. He led me to the cremation room, and I had to wait about an hour for the process to complete. Everything went smoothly. Mr. Julio was empathetic, efficient, and showed utmost respect for the remains, which I truly appreciated. He truly goes above and beyond. Thank you, Mr. Julio. The prices seemed reasonable, and I would definitely use their services again. I highly recommend this place. P.S. Their chapel has a shrine dedicated to several deceased pets, so I suggest bringing a photo to add to the pantheon.

My baby boy passed from congestive heart failure on a Saturday Jan 4th, 2025. It was somewhat sudden but with him about to turn 14 I had done some research and decided I wanted to bury him rather than cremate. I found Pets Rest, read reviews, looked at pictures and decided that I would bury him there when the time came. The time came sooner than I could have ever expected, I was hysterical, it was a weekend so pets rest is closed. But the after hours answering service was extremely helpful & directed me to bring my boy to the sf spca to store him properly or keep him cold at home. (I chose to keep him chilled at home until getting in Touch with someone during opening hours.) When they opened that week I went in & I spoke with Theresa from Pets rest who is beyond amazing. She was sincere, patient & so helpful. My boy was firm from storing him cold but she knew how much I wanted to do the paw print keep sake they offer so she tried that day, they didn't quite come out because he was hard to move. She offered to do it the day of his burial and have him rest at room temp a bit to get better prints. This was so amazing I have them in a shadow box now and can't thank her enough. Now for the burial process. Pricing is totally fair. I picked his spot set a date and time. It was really a breeze. They offer coffin/box there for a reasonable price that they build to size. I opted to have my boys box custom made elsewhere so that's an option too. The day of burial was emotional and difficult but Theresa & the groundskeepers were amazing. They were patient and respectful. It was not a joke to them and I appreciate how delicately they handled it all. They allowed me to throw the first dirt and also gave me all the time I needed, everything was at my pace. They said when you're ready just let us know. I can't thank the entire team at pets rest enough. I miss my boy dearly. Everyday. I am thankful to have a place to see him Rest In Peace Android. My #1 Son Bun Thank You Pets Rest.

It's been about a week since our pet rabbit, Harold, passed. We weren't sure where to take him but luckily we found Pets Rest. The phone number listed goes to a call center?, which wasn't very helpful. I called to see if they had appointments for a witness cremation but the woman on the phone said she wasn't able to tell me the schedule and to go into the business in person to speak to someone. We decided to give it a try anyways and if it didn't work out we would've left him with our vet. Once we arrived we were able to speak to someone and make an appointment for the next morning. They were also able to keep Harold overnight for us. Carlos helped us the next day. They had placed Harold in the alter they have in the back room and we were able to see him for one last time. He explained what was going to happen during the witness cremation and was very caring. The whole process took a little over an hour. I would recommend Pets Rest. It was worth it to witness the cremation, the staff are very friendly, and the urn/box provided is very nice. We miss you Harold

There's even a place on their website you can share your pet's obituary.

It was already a stressful situation as it was. Thankfully, Pets.RIP was available at any hour of the day, so I made a call to Kwasi who answered my call and answered all my questions that I had. Kwasi is definitely a gem of a person; he is very compassionate, and being a pet owner himself, he understands the stresses that a passing of a beloved pet can have on its owner and family. There was no rush on when he could pick up; he told us to take as much time as we needed and to call him when we were ready for her to be picked up. After he picked her up to have a private cremation done, we kept in contact with him and he provided updates on when her urn would be ready. After 10 days from when he picked her up, he contacted me to let me know that her urn was ready. He went above and beyond and drove here to personally bring her to us. We would have been okay with having to pick her up from where ever she was, but the fact that Kwasi did this really touched us. Again, he is truly a gem of a person. Her urn was a beautiful sheesam urn with a nameplate of Delilah on it. Seeing it made me cry because I missed her, but also happy that she is finally back with us. If you ever need a private cremation (they also offer communal cremation) for a beloved pet that passed, please do not hesitate to contact Pets.RIP. The prices are reasonable, and they will take care of you from the moment you contact them until the time you receive your pet's urn.

From the unexpected very first phone call the day before, they patiently walked me through the process while I was extremely emotional and overwhelmed. They were calm, kind, and never rushed us. The gentleman who met us at the hospital to transport our baby was thoughtful and respectful. We chose a private viewing and cremation, and while it was more expensive than other options, I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. When we arrived at the facility early the morning of, before the viewing or cremation, we brought breakfast as a small thank you for their compassion. They were genuinely surprised (said it's never been done before), which only spoke further to the selfless care they provide. We were given a private room set slightly away from the reception area, which provided much needed privacy. The room was simple but serene, with a couch, tissues, and a infant changing table style setup. Our baby had already been peacefully laid on the changing table with a small blanket, as if he was just sleeping. Being able to close the door, take our time, hold him, talk to him, cry, and say goodbye without interruption meant everything. They then carefully explained and showed us each step and allowed us to choose how involved we wanted to be, which we deeply appreciated. The whole process only took a few hours and our soul baby was rested in a nice temporary urn while we waited for our custom one. Our requested paw prints, nose prints, and hair clippings were also ready and prepped for us. This was our second time losing a fur baby, but our first experience with this company, and I truly cannot imagine handling such a loss any other way. Highly recommend.

They said that we could come in asap and that there was no wait period, which I appreciated. On top of that, he empathized and was patient with me when I sobbed on the phone because it happened so soon. Which I truly appreciated since it proved to me that Shane is a real one. To wrap up, their prices are extremely fair, the options are gorgeous as seen in the pics I included, and the turn around time to complete the cremation was finished in a week. I would highly recommend Shane to anyone who is looking for a crematorium for their recently deceased fur baby. 10/10 easy for this spot.

It was really important to us to be able to bring him ourselves and have that sense of control. I had also heard too many stories of larger operations misplacing pets or losing ashes during transport, which felt unimaginable. Some of the places we spoke to also felt very transactional. It didn't feel like they were meeting us in what was a very real, emotional moment. Restful Pets was completely different from the first call. They were genuinely compassionate. Being local made everything easier, and their turnaround was much faster than what we were quoted elsewhere. It's definitely no-frills, with no big packages or upsells, but that ended up being exactly what we needed. What mattered most was knowing he was close and that we were in control of the process, with someone who treated us with care. That made all the difference.

After some searching online I came across Restful Pets and after reading a few reviews - I knew this was my best option. I immediately called and Mark, the owner answered. His tone was perfect given the setting/circumstances. He came within 1.5 hours to my home, allowed me to say my goodbyes, explained the process to me, and took her in a larger size "suitcase" which was hard to see but I understand that's how the process works. Within 2 weeks I received a text message from "Justine" letting us know Princess was ready for me to pick her up; throughout this entire process my only complaint or complaint would be the message when notifying the family that their fur baby is ready for pick up, it stated "good news, Princess is ready for pick up" which in one way, I understand how it can be perceived as good news - I've been without her for 2 weeks and receiving her remains should feel like "good news" but for me, it wasn't good news. It was confirmation I'd never see her face again so I felt the choice of words weren't the best. Besides that - they did such a good job and made an already painful process less stressful. Cost - it was as pricey as anywhere else you're looking. As a stay at home mom, I can't afford much and had to research quite a few places and the price is about the same everywhere $20-30 difference max and again, they came to my home and took care of the arrangements. The only thing I felt was overly priced was the clay paw print, I paid $100 for her print and it was gorgeous - don't get me wrong. But the clay molding can be purchased for $20 so $80 for the labor of doing it seemed a bit unreasonable but I wanted a final paw print so I paid it. The box I received with her ashes was also gorgeous. Again, great services and owner was a great person. I hope to not need to use their services anytime soon but would if needed and I do highly recommend if searching for someone.
