So I've been using Golden State Pet Crematorium since my first pet died in 2012. This place is so awesome that I will continue to use them for my pets. In 2021, my 14 y.o dog passed and because of the whole shut down, I was afraid that they wasn't going to be able to Cremate my dog but they did. Fast forward here we are 2024 and my dog's 12 y.o daughter passed & here I am using them again! I love this place I even referred my friend here because her sons dog passed & they were happy with their choice! Friendly staff, super convenient & very fast with returning the remains. My cat Katrina/ Moonie- 2012 My dog Missy- 2021 My Grand dog Summer- 2024 I painted my cat box lol

I've done a lot of research to find the right place to cremate my daughter, my best friend and the love of my life. I've been a complete wreck for the last week and even considered a place in Los Angeles, but I chose Valley Pet Loss Center / Golden State Pet Crematorium after speaking with Donna. In short, it was a drive and it was the most difficult thing I had to do in my life, but I'm glad I did this for her. I chose the private cremation with same-day pickup. Donna, the other gentlemen in the office, and the two techs were all wonderful. I can't thank them enough. I know it's a tough job and they must see people like me all the time, but they were all sympathetic and let us know what's happening throughout the process. I called Donna with questions 3 times and she answered patiently every time. It's been so hard even thinking about what happened, but I feel it's important to post this for others that are in the same situation. Here's how it worked. We paid for the following * $320 private cremation * $150 same day pickup * $50 clay paw print (totally worth it!) * $20 ink paw print (if you want witnessed cremation, it must be in the morning and I believe it's $300 more than the same-day. This will give you time with your baby in the cremation room and they will set your baby out nicely before the chamber is even heated.) First, I scheduled a time over phone. We opted for the same-day pickup because I couldn't stand leaving my baby there. If it's for a same-day pickup, you need to choose your urn and what you want to have put on the label. On the day, I thought I was ready, but it turned out I was a complete disaster. I recommend having someone drive you while you have your baby on your lap. Bring tons of kleenex and water bottles. The last drive together. We arrived. It's an office complex. The heat and smell of ash. Donna walked me through if I wanted Paw Prints, YES PLEASE and I paid. The bamboo urn was really cute, but once again broke my heart that the baby I wrestled with is going to become that small by the end of all of this. Donna placed the ID tag on Cashew's leg. This ID tag is unique and will be what's left with the ashes. That ID tag will be placed on the bag with the ash in the end to ensure that no mix up should occur. We got to spend time with her in the quiet room. Trust me, we went 30 mins early and we were still late. It's impossible to say good bye so have a cut off time in mind. I'm still not ready even after the cremation if that makes any sense. I can't believe I can never touch her fur again. Totally crushed and I don't think I can ever recover from this. Tech gently knocked our door and asked if we had any questions on the process. She told us how much time it will take and told us we need to start soon if we want to pick her up the same day. We asked if she take her favorite items to cremate together. We gave her favorite snacks she used to wake up to just from the smell and the bones she used to hide under her bed and the blanket she used to sleep on. I didn't want to give her the blanket. The blanket she slept on, but I thought she could use it in heaven. You can go up to the door of the cremation room. The door has a window, but you won't be able to see too much. The tech took 30 mins to make the clay paw print and the paw print. Once the cute paw print came out, I was so happy that I received an art work from Cashew. Quickly after, reality sets in. You can't see your baby enter the chamber, but you can see your baby there and the flame reflecting against the wall. This was hard to watch and I broke down, but we wanted to be there for her until the very end. The gentlemen working there handed us kleenex. The tech was very respectful and only showed us her back. Then gave us a thumbs up with a smile once all was done. During the process, you can take a 10min walk around the corner and we printed some special moments at CVS's photobooth and ate at a cafe. I didn't realize I didn't even eat much that morning. I was hungry, but still couldn't eat. 1.5 hours later, Donna called me and said "Cashew is ready!" I didn't realize until then, but Donna always referred to my baby as "Cashew" like she was still there. Not like "your cremation is done" or "your dog's ashes are ready" I really really appreciated this. It gave me joy that Cashew is still there. Thank you. I hope this review can help you through this difficult time. Our babies are the BEST and I know you're reading this because you care about your baby so much that he/she is taken care of even after death. If I find the genie bottle, my first wish will be that every pet lives long as their owner.

Our experience with GSPC was awesome! The hardest thing anyone goes through is a loss of a beloved pet. Working with GSPC helped alleviate the pain from the loss with awesome service with the utmost compassion. We've elected to cremate our beloved Pomeranian Bob via a witnessed cremation. Although it was expensive, it was crucial to us that the remains we received was our beloved pet. Witnessed cremations also takes a lot longer than a private cremation, since the crematory machinery goes through a startup or warmup sequence before the burners are fired. Only then, the remains can be processed. With a witnessed cremation, we're allowed to say our last goodbyes to our Bobby, then witnessed them place Bobby with utmost care and compassion into the Crematorium. Their equipment seems top notch too; there's multiple chambers for individual pets which will guarantee you even more that the remains you receive is that of your pet. Not only that, a flame proof tag with a serial number is attached to your pet. When you receive your pet's remains, you will get that tag back as a guarantee that this will be your pet. Not quite the place anyone would want to do business with, however, if we have the need to, we will always choose GSPC. The care and compassion on how they cared for our Bobby was exemplary! Finally, the only issues I had using GPC. Note that this is very minor and not a reason to mark my experience with any less than 5 stars: * The GSPC website needs to have the address updated. GSPC recently merged with Valley Pet Loss and is now located in Livermore. One of our family members ended up going to their old address only to find out they have moved to another location that was kinda far away * When I picked up my pet's remains, it seems like the Crematorium's exhaust system had issues as the inside of the office smelled like the exhaust emissions of the crematorium.

I was so lucky to find this gem in the East Bay. My 15 year-old turtle passed and I reached out to this business. The owner, Shane, was kind and professional from the first phone call through to pick up. It was only a week and I was able to bring my turtle back home in the most beautiful personalized box. It was so much more than I expected and a pleasant experience given the circumstances. I'd highly recommend this business to all pet lovers.

The "store front" is like a storage unit. I recommended standing outside.

It's never easy to let go of the pets you love. My cat was about 14+ years old and she was about to pass. I went looking around for pet cremation places if I don't need to put my cat down. GSPC popped up when I was going through yelp so I decided to reach out. My cat looked like she was not doing well around 4:30. I had my husband reach out via email since it was pass their hours of operation. The surprising call back and email reply AFTER HOURS gave us a bit of relief because we were able to get the questions we needed and couldn't think of waiting until tomorrow morning since we didn't know what to do. Unfortunately, my cat ended up passing at night around 8PM. Haley gave us a quote over the phone. The price is depending on the pets weight and the service you want. I would recommend calling and/or emailing them to see which direction you would want to go. Honestly, there is no price we wouldn't pay to make sure our beloved pet is treated well after they passed. I opted to receive the ashes back and picked out an urn. You can check out their website to see the urn selections they offer. Payment is cash or card. I went to drop off and said farewell to my cat one last time and we were crying as we walked up to the place. Also note that they crematorium is located behind the Groveway vet hospital and the way to get in and out is odd. The vet clinic and crematorium are some what affiliated with each other so in case you can only swing by after hours to pick up your pet's ash, you can actually stop by the vet clinic. Picking up the ashes can take up to 7 business days. I'll definitely recommend this place to fellow pet owners.

You ever get that feeling that everything happenings is falling all around you? Thats how our family felt when our 16 year old Schnoodle protector had passed this afternoon. GSPC was kind enough to call us back so quickly and let us know of their availability and process. We took our sweet boy, Junior to GSPC for a private cremation (they didnt have the private viewing option available during this time) and our family feels confident that he will be treated with the Integrity he deserves. For those pet parents out there that worry about how your pet will be treated, I get a strong vibe from this place that they truly care. GSPC, our family appreciates you. Junior, I'm sure will agree.

Having a beloved pet pass is always a hard thing and Pet State Pet Crematorium made the process a bit easier. From the moment I emailed them about pricing and to start the process of getting my pet rabbit cremated they were very timely and responsive. The crematory is behind the veterinarian clinic and has their information on the door as well. I chose this location since they are one of the few place in the Bay Area that takes rabbits and have good prices. During pick up I was surprised to find such a thoughtful small gift of wildflowers to remember my pet by, it was a cute touch. All of their employees are very respectful and mindful trying to make you feel comfortable about the whole process. I definitely recommend if you have a small pocket pet like I do.

My sweet Fiona passed away last night before I had a chance to put her down, the staff here was super friendly and understanding of my needs and very sympathetic. It was even harder because this was the first pet I'd ever had to deal with having to get cremated, along with being pregnant. I was VERY emotional and they handled me and my baby girl with care. I highly recommend the staff here

Although she was initially fully booked, she took the time to speak with us and even recommended other in-home services to try. Unfortunately, none had availability, and we were preparing ourselves for a traditional vet visit...something we knew would cause our already fragile girl a lot of anxiety. Then, Dr. Wensing called back. She had a cancellation and could come that same day. It truly felt like a blessing. She responded within a few minutes, was able to come out on a weekend, same day short notice, and offered multiple times to find what would work best. It was important to me that we were able to find a time where everyone could be present. My girls Kaylee and Gabby liked her immediately. She clearly has a gift with animals. She walked us through what the process would be like, answered all of our questions, and made us feel confident that we were doing what was best. She was gentle, calming, and patient, and made sure we knew what was happening every step of the way, giving us as much time as we needed when we needed it. When it was time for her to leave, she left us with the kindest words and warm hugs, as though she were a long-time friend. She clearly has a gift with people, too. On one of my worst days of my life, she brought such compassion, consideration, professionalism, care, warmth, and peace into my home that it seemed superhuman. I don't believe in angels, but if I did, she'd be one of them. Kaylee's sister Gabby is still with us, and I hope she still has a good number of years ahead, but Dr. Wensing will be the first person I call when the time comes. It's definitely no-frills, with no big packages or upsells, but that ended up being exactly what we needed. What mattered most was knowing he was close and that we were in control of the process, with someone who treated us with care. That made all the difference.

Lost my beloved fur baby almost 2 months ago and while in a state of shock (it was completely…read moreunexpected) I had to search for someone to help me take care of my baby and make proper arrangements for her.. After some searching online I came across Restful Pets and after reading a few reviews - I knew this was my best option. I immediately called and Mark, the owner answered. His tone was perfect given the setting/circumstances. He came within 1.5 hours to my home, allowed me to say my goodbyes, explained the process to me, and took her in a larger size "suitcase" which was hard to see but I understand that's how the process works. Within 2 weeks I received a text message from "Justine" letting us know Princess was ready for me to pick her up; throughout this entire process my only complaint or complaint would be the message when notifying the family that their fur baby is ready for pick up, it stated "good news, Princess is ready for pick up" which in one way, I understand how it can be perceived as good news - I've been without her for 2 weeks and receiving her remains should feel like "good news" but for me, it wasn't good news. It was confirmation I'd never see her face again so I felt the choice of words weren't the best. Besides that - they did such a good job and made an already painful process less stressful. Cost - it was as pricey as anywhere else you're looking. As a stay at home mom, I can't afford much and had to research quite a few places and the price is about the same everywhere $20-30 difference max and again, they came to my home and took care of the arrangements. The only thing I felt was overly priced was the clay paw print, I paid $100 for her print and it was gorgeous - don't get me wrong. But the clay molding can be purchased for $20 so $80 for the labor of doing it seemed a bit unreasonable but I wanted a final paw print so I paid it. The box I received with her ashes was also gorgeous. Again, great services and owner was a great person. I hope to not need to use their services anytime soon but would if needed and I do highly recommend if searching for someone.
