I forgot the names of the dishes but the chicken with fried rice is good. It's just one drumstick with a huge portion of rice. The chicken on its own is tender but a little bland but perfect if you eat it with the rice the potatoes that come with it are tasty too. Husband got the steak with fries and a fried egg. The meat was so flavorful! It also came with fries. It's a huge plate too. He also got the fried plantains which were perfectly caramelized. We haven't had such good plantains in awhile. The fruit juices are interesting. We got the guava and the purple corn juice. Yup - corn! Just had to try it. There are two kinds of arepa and I got the first with beef. It was extremely salty. This place is family run I believe. The lady is adorable. Running the show on her own, so sweet. I assume her husband is the cook, he came out for a quick drink from the kitchen. It's helpful if you know a little bit of Spanish. The food was so delicious, the best food we've had on our trip so far! Flavorful and so yummy. Highly recommend this place for sure. Had a good selection of food. Got a saltado de pollo a chaufa and a criollo. I really enjoyed my food but there was a large Peruvian crew eating there when we came in and the server came up to us and told me you grabbed a white drink don't forget to pay for it and I asked what white drink and she said the one you grabbed and I said I didn't grabbed one and she said you want me to check the cameras and I said please do! I purchased my food in the register and my drinks also. I asked another older lady if they found the perpetrator and she said oh no it's cause the manager is watching the camera and I said that's fine but I just don't like being accused of stealing and she said no it's alright eat up and don't worry about it. The server did not apologize for the accusation nor the inconvenience and misunderstanding. If they kept the cashier girl in the front they would easily keep track of anyone grabbing drinks without paying for it. Unfortunately they said they couldn't go back and check because they needed a code. That was a good idea because most restaurants there were closed for Xmas. Try their lomita saltado, chicken soup, rotisserie chicken and their stuffed potato... all very tasty. Stopped by after a long day at Zion and we ordered our favorite Peruvian dish, Lomito Saltado. It was good! The rice was steaming hot, the French fries were crispy, the beef was nicely seasoned, and the grilled tomatoes and onion were perfect. Aji was a little thicker than we're used to, but still, we think this place is better than some of the Peruvian places we've been to in Orange County, CA. First time here. Parking is pretty lean. There are 1/2 dozen spots in the back, but only for small vehicles. Place is old and pretty dive ish.That said it is clean , with all the windows bright and open. Greeted by older Lady who was very nice and happy to see us. Several take-out customers came in as we got seated. She brought us a menu and with extremely broken English tried to tell us what was good. We decided on the #1 Lomito Saltado & the #10 Prebellon Criollo. She brought some sauces to the table and best we could figure out one was a cilantro cream sauce. The other was a red spicy Chile sauce made like a Mexican Chili De Arbol sauce. It was thick and very spicy. Our meals came within 10 minutes of ordering. Have seen that a major complaint here is getting orders timely. Again this was lunch and we were only ones there. My wife had the #1 Grilled Chicken, peppers & onions. Served with white rice and hand cut fries. It was very tasty. I had the #10 a slow cooked beef roast with black beans and white rice. It too was very good. The flavors of the Beef were hard to describe other than very delicious. Price seemed high for the small portions. Out the door we spent $35 and change for 2 orders and 2 sodas. It seems that everything in this area is overpriced to capitalize on the Zion Tourist. Our experience was good, but the price and small servings would probably keep me from coming back. I ordered an Arepa Reina Prepiada and a Lomo Saltado. I also had a passionfruit juice which was so delicious and refreshing! I wasn't expecting much but found that the food was very delicious. The lady taking my order didn't speak English too well, but thankfully I knew enough Spanish to get by. She was very nice and even complimented me on my mediocre Spanish-speaking ability LOL! All the food were too salty to eat. The soup, the various meat dishes we got, the arepas, and most of all the arroz con pollo. The meat was so dry as well. The prices are also really high as well for the quality and the surrounding area. They really jacked up their prices compared to the menu in the pictures so don't get fooled by that! read more

My husband and I were spending our vacations around Zion National Park and after several hours of hiking we were starving. Thanks god and Mrs Rosa we had the most delicious Peruvian food we've ever had! I had Ceviche, which was really fresh and tasteful and my husband had Arroz Chaufa with fried plantain. Both dishes were to die for. We also had "chicha morada" ( drink originally from Peru ), it was so refreshing. 100% recommended. We will be going back there! read more

I am very disappointed about this place, my husband and I were excited because it was Peruvian food, which we love, but it was very far from reality, firstly the place does not look like it is maintained or cleaned. Starting with the bathroom, access to it was blocked with an old refrigerator which you had to move yourself. It looked very dark and dirty in the hallway, my husband had to accompany me, which made the woman upset that he was outside waiting for me. Then there is a curtain where you can see that maybe it could be the kitchen and it looked very dirty. We were a little intrigued by how they prepare the food. We wanted to cancel it but we couldn't anymore. The passion fruit juice was simple, even it made me afraid to drink it. At the end we paid $46 for something that we had to throw away for fear of being poisoned. Maybe the food was good but with the doubt in what condition the kitchen looks NO THANK U. I feel sorry for those people who have rated this place as the best. read more

Very pleasantly surprised! Was a bit hesitant to try Peruvian in such a small town, but I have to say, it was very good and tasted very authentic. My fave Peruvian is Pollo Inka in Lawndale, California - iykyk. The flavors were slightly different, but in a good way. It definitely tasted home-cooked. We had the Pollo Saltado, Lomo Saltado, Lomo Tallerin, and a side of rice and fries. My only knocks were that I wish it came with a little more rice (but in all honesty, I probably didn't need it) and the green sauce was salty (my husband loved it though). Delicious chicken. Was disappointed bc we ordered a whole chicken with 3 sides, but only wanted fried plantains, and they wouldn't let us. They said we could only get one order of plantains as a side. So then we ordered salad and sweet potato fries. Really, we just wanted the platanos! But then they brought us out a salad and regular fries (definitely not what you should order here). Still giving 4 stars because the chicken was delicious, but I do wish we could have 1. Ordered whatever sides we wanted and/or 2. Gotten the sides we had to order rather than the wrong ones. But still, go here and get the chicken. Lol read more

Got into town late and was looking for a place to eat. My friends and I wanted to go to the popular steakhouse up the road, but they had a 45 minute wait so we had to do some research. Found that this place had really good reviews so we headed there. I'm glad we did because the food is delicious! We ordered pretty much everything: empanadas, arepas, steak and egg, fried rice, etc. We all sampled each other's food and it was just all so good! I was driving through town and decided to stop here. The food was amazing! Got the spinach and cheese empanadas, with rice and beans. The empanadas were a good size and deep fried. It was crispy but the dough was still soft on the inside, and filled with gooey cheese goodness. The beans had a homemade taste to it and the rice was the perfect compliment. They also had some sort of avocado sauce with a little bit of heat. It was so good, i decided to stop here again on my way out of town! The meat was so well seasoned, the onions and bell peppers were flavorful and crisp and the rice was fresh as could be. Also, the green sauce is to die for. The red was yummy too but was spicier and I am a wuss with spice. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone in the St. George/Zion area.
