14. Causa Rellena

My goodness, this Peruvian restaurant was the perfect stop after a long day at Zion. Loved the peaceful atmosphere and traditional decor. It was empty when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night in March. The food was amazing, very flavorful, incredibly well seasoned, and most of all tasted very homemade but also top tier restaurant quality. Food came out quick and the service was great. I got the arroz con pollo. Wow the rice was so delicious, best part of that dish. And my favorite dish I got, the causa rellena. The mashed potatoes were soft, the chicken and vegetables in between were so fresh and balanced the entire dish. Literally heaven. You need to get the causa rellena. Overall, a very authentic spot full of character and culture. Must support this small local business please!!! I will definitely come here again the next time I'm nearby.

Mercedes was super kind and welcoming. She deserves a nice raise as she was so sweet to everyone and reminds me of my mom. The food was also very delicious and fresh. I ordered the ceviche, arepa domino, and arroz con leche. My boyfriend ordered the lomito saltado. We enjoyed everything + the passion fruit beverages. The bill came out to about $73 before tip. Super chill restaurant, it gives it a small family business feel.

Chicken milanesa

Fantastic meal in Hurricane, probably our favorite during several days in the area of Zion National Park. Very reasonably priced. Everything we tried was good: limo Salgado, chicken Milanesa, another steak dish with beans and plantains, and the chicha Miranda drink. Friendly and helpful staff made up of a family. When you order they disappeared into the kitchen and made the food fresh. It was ready within 15 minutes. Theres a good amount of seating and it feels, clean, bright, spacious, and cool. There's a small parking lot right next to it.

A Peruvian/Venezuelan restaurant in Hurricane Utah??!! Of course we had to try it. Their food tasted very home-made and they were delicious!!! I would totally go back again if I'm in the area. I give 4 stars because I think they could use some TLC on their restaurant ambience.

Causa a la limeña made vegan, so delicious

I was surprised to find a small family owned Peruvian restaurants with limited English in this area steps from our airbnb and on top of that very vegan and vegetarian friendly. An awesome casual spot post hike at Zion NP that makes you feel like you are out of the country. The food was very flavorful and they are very vegan/ vegetarian friendly. The Causa a la limeña vegana and the beans were our favorites. Make sure to ask for the delicious homemade spicy sauce.

It seemed like there was mostly bar food/ American food near Zion park and we didn't want that after being in the sun all day. I'm so happy we found this place!! I've never had Peruvian food but it was perfect after a long day of hiking and being in Zion We got the chicken with rice and veggies and it was so filling and seasoned just right. The lady working in the front was sweet and made sure we were happy

Food was absolutely amazing!!! We came one night and we had to come back again the following night before leaving town. Do yourself a favor and come eat at this authentic Peruvian place! Their ceviche was the BEST I've ever had!

Milanesa de Puerco

All of the food was fantastic. The family that owns and runs the restaurant are charming. The mother speaks broken English, but tried so very hard to communicate. We fully understood what she was recommending. It was very sweet and a part of the experience. She later brought her daughter out to translate, and we had a wonderful conversation. I highly recommend!

Milanesa de Pollo. So delicious.

If I can give more stars I would've. We were a big group and called in ahead. Good thing we did as…read morethey got packed midway through our meal. The service was phenomenal and the food temperatures were just perfect. All those we ordered. Everyone's order was different so we could share some of our food. The servings are mostly for a single serving. What was outstanding Ceviche (we ordered the fish 3 flavors) Octopus (best I've ever had - very tender) Shrimp & Steak Big Plate (we chose fried rice) The extra orders of plantain (we can't get enough of) Chicken fried rice (scrumptious) Grilled beef heart (also delicious) Seafood rice like paella was devoured by the group as well. Bathroom as mentioned by another reviewer was very clean. The place itself was minimally decorated but it was just perfect. When the weather gets cooler they can accommodate more people outside but currently it's just very warm. Parking is ample especially on a weekend when all the offices around them are closed. Come and try them when you are in Mesquite - passing by or just make it your meal stop and you won't be sorry. I would've love to take pictures but we were all very hungry so we devoured everything as it hit our table!!!! Yum yum

Been looking forward to coming here for lunch, but they don't open until 1pm every day except for…read moreWednesday, when they are closed. Like everyone else in this town, I'm old. Dinner is at 5pm. Nobody is going to have lunch at 1pm then dinner 2-1/2 hours later. Open at 11am like literally every other restaurant on the planet, close from 3pm to 5pm, then reopen for dinner. It would also be helpful if they had a real website instead of a Square website where people could actually see a menu and learn more about the business. The restaurant business is hard enough without making it more difficult for your potential customers to know what you offer. The reviews are good for this place, so I'm fairly confident it's legit. I can only imagine how successful this place could be if it was set up properly.
