The food was delicious, the ambiance was so cool yet causal, and the staff were beyond friendly. My boyfriend and I came here on our way to Zion and arrived later in the evening and were distraught to only see fast food joints open. Then we found Peruvian Flavors and the minute we pulled into the parking lot and peered into their window, we knew we found the right place. I ordered a veggie tallarin, and my boyfriend ordered the pabellon criollo, and we shared the arepitas. All three dishes were so flavorful and reminded me of Peruvian restaurants we've enjoyed in California (where we live). Something I loved in particular was their wholly unique and free spirited decoration style, and that they also sold fun items that you might only find while thrifting. Both my boyfriend and I bought some great hats and had a ball talking with the older woman who was helping us. The younger woman who took our order was sweet and our food came out quickly. We ordered the soupas (chicken noodle), lomita saltados, arroz con pollo and the areipas with the arroz con leche to end the meal. The soup was very nice and warm. The kind you could eat after a hike in the cold or when you're sick. The lomita saltados was my first time trying it. The bf has had it before and loves the family recipe made by his friend so he wasn't impressed but I really liked it. The sauteed veggies and the beef made an interesting combination with the fries! My arroz con pollo was really really good! The chicken was cooked well, the spices were excellent and the sauce with the potatoes rounded the meal off really well! The arriepa was like a pita pocket. The shredded chicken was very good as was the sauce it was marinated in. So all in all, we had an excellent first and second course. The arroz con leche is a lot like a traditional Indian rice kheer we make. It was also very good esp with the cinnamon powder sprinkled on top. Such a fun place to have in Hurricane! The owner is the absolute sweetest, and the food is great! If you don't speak Spanish there might be a little but if a language barrier, but don't let that stop you! This was a great find when visiting Zion National Park! The food came out quick and tasted very flavorful. While the steak was a little over cooked, we didn't mind until we saw there were still produce stickers on the tomatoes. That wasn't our favorite discovery. I was fooled by Yelp reviews after a trip to Zion National park. I love Peruvian food so was excited to try this small restaurant. I love supporting mom and pop type businesses, however this was a horrible meal. Loma saltado - rice was hard, steak over cooked and salty. Fries were ok. Half chicken- bland and the inside was still ice cold, Obviously reheated from the fridge. The stir fried noodle - sour, salty spaghetti noodles with over cooked meats. We are locals and drive past this restaurant all the time, so decided to try last night. We really don't understand the hype and why Peruvian Flavors is ranked so high on Yelp. We woke up this morning with sour bellies and horrible indigestion, but let's talk about the dishes and not the aftermath, shall we? We called to place our order for pick up. We wanted to get the rotisserie chicken, but they were out and they were also out of chicken soup. I guess the chicken shipment did not arrive that day. We did in fact order one of each empanada, one beef and avocado mini Gordita and 3 orders Shredded beef with black beans, rice and fried plantains. Firstly the empanadas were disgusting. The dough was inedible and chewy that the filling fell out before I could even get a bite out of it and the spinach and cheese one only had cheese in it and was very greasy. The mini Gordito was the best thing that we received, so we split it into three and enjoyed that very much. The dishes of shredded beef were marginal but had a funny taste that was offputting. The worst thing about it was at the fried plantains were so saturated in oil they were in edible. When I called, I had also ordered a Luoma ice cream and a flan. I will say here that the girl that answered the phone was courteous and helpful. When we went to pick up our order I noticed that the flan was missing, and mentioned that to the young lady at the counter. She nonchalantly told me, oops, I just sold the last one to another customer. Really? Was the other customer here 30 minutes ago when you took down my order and said that you had plenty left? Anyway, I bet that would've been the best item of the meal, and that leaves me a little pissy. The few bites of lucama ice cream that I had was not bad. As we suffer today, we regret our decision in trying out Peruvian Flavors. I used to work next to a Peruvian restaurant and have eaten really awesome mom and Pop Peruvian food for 10 years, and putting the two side-by-side this place just sucks. read more

Came to this spot recently since I was craving Venezuelan food and they have both Peruvian and Venezuelan and...I was not satisfied. It was ok, but not as good as Mil Jugos in Santa Ana, CA. The Arepa was ok but I was not into how the masa was prepared and especially that the Arepa had bones, and food was a bit too salty. I was gonna try the other dishes during my stay out there but after my experience, I'm like... "nah". My recommendation is to offer more condiments like a garlic creamy sauce to go with the dishes to enhance the flavor, prepare the masa a different manner, and don't leave bones in dishes like the Arepa. read more

I love small businesses and roasted Peruvian chicken is THE dish if you're going to any Peruvian restaurant. Don't let the minimal decor fool you, these ladies know what they are doing. My only complaint is this: I ordered a whole roasted chicken and it comes with three sides, we aren't fans of fries or yucca so we wanted all three sides to be fried plantains and they said no we can't do that. No explanation as to why. Were they out? Only had one serving of plantains left? So we were forced to order things we didn't really want. And based on the cashier's recommendations, my friend ordered the arroz con pollo and arroz con leche. Both starved after an afternoon at Bryce Canyon, we hurried back to our hotel and opened our takeout bags. What. The. Heck. And no, I hadn't eaten anything. And I gave a 20% tip. My friend was crestfallen as she surveyed her order and became even more disappointed as she ate, commenting on the high sodium and underwhelming ingredients. Wow! I was a little hesitant coming here since I usually like to research my Peruvian restaurants before taking someone there who hasn't had Peruvian cuisine before. I live in Las Vegas and I came out to Utah to go hike Zion with my boyfriend and his family and once we were done we wanted to find a place to have some dinner! I am so happy we decided to come here because the food did not disappoint! The owner was very friendly and I also found out she was from a town in Peru not too far from where my mom grew up! I'm usually very picky with my Peruvian food because I grew up only eating home cooked Peruvian meals everyday. Do yourself a favor and go! I love Peruvian food, and this is the best I've had in the US. Quarter chicken w fried yuca and plantains. The yuca tasted more like vegetable than fries (a rare/good thing), and the plantains were seared and caramelized to perfection. The ceviche is unlike anything I've ever tasted. We are here for Zion and the owner was amazing to us. The food looks different in the pictures but it is by far the best ceviche I have ever tried. We also had the Lomita Saltado #1 was just superb as well. The beef has a different flavor and the sauces were amazing. My sister and I had never had Peruvian food before visiting Peruvian Flavor and the food was amazing! We have picky kids and were not sure what would happen, but my daughter practically licked her plate clean! The staff is really friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.
