    All American French Toast

we tried this little place for breakfast on sunday and it was pretty good. i really liked the atmosphere here, the seating is so nice and unique. i was a little disappointed that they only had flavored hot coffee, not iced, but my boyfriend really enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. i ordered the all american french toast and subbed the maple butter for the whipped cream. it was good, definitely one of the better basic diner french toasts i've had. i liked that it was thick and moist. the flavor was maybe 3/5 but i really liked their sugar free syrup, great option! overall, not too bad but i would probably come back for a more savory breakfast (there are more options for these and they sound pretty good!)

We return time after time and are never disappointed with the wait, staff or the food. We love this small chain. During these crazy times we all need to be patient, friendly and good tipping!! . Today we had the Hobo Hashbrowns. They were packed with veggies, meat amazingness. . The wifeski had pumpkin pancakes and was happily delighted . We Percys!

The service was really slow. Took us 2 hours to get our food but it was really good. I do plan to go back to try other items on the menu. Just pick a day where you have time to wait. Haha

I think this was the best breakfast place I've had in a long time! Ordered the Buffalo chicken omelette grilled English muffin and loaded home fries so worth it! Super friendly and even called to say I forgot to say extra cheese and she was so nice!!! Thank you well worth the 45 min wait

Persy's Place was a large let down on a morning out with friends. Though the atmosphere is bright and homely, the seating is uncomfortable (hard wooden booths) and with little room. I found myself more than bumping elbows with my boothmates. The "4 person" seating, in essence, only 'comfortably' seats 2. The menu options are enormously large, with a huge variety of egg, pancake, etc plates to choose from. As a restaurant boasting about their oversized menus, the waitresses give you very little time to look it over. Ours in particular came over at least twice before we were able to review all of our choices and make a decision. I ate the "Yankee Special" comprised of pancakes, eggs, homefries, toast, bacon, and sausage (I like a little bit of everything). No complaints regarding the food, but no compliments either. It was an average meal, one I could have paid less for somewhere else. The bill for 3 people came out to $33. . . not bad considering we chose some of the cheapest meals on the menu. Some items I felt were severly overpriced. If I had ordered a Waffle. . . I would have only paid a dollar fifty less than I did. For $1.50 more I enjoyed 5 more items than the average waffle-goer. Hm. . . Lastly, I did not enjoy calling after our waitress as she would seemingly be running away from our table. Rarely did she ask if we needed anything, making it a struggle to get anything. . . from a refill on my coffee to getting a box to wrap up my food. Once more she ran by to pick up our check, money almost in hand, we explained we had not finished dividing the bill between us. Never before felt so rushed! I do not think there will be a next-time for this restaurant. . . unless there's no other choice.

I thought it would be better but service is kinda slow. Food is average and overpriced. Stick to the mom and pop breakfast places.

You can't go wrong with any food you order here! The burgers are all extremely fresh and flavorful, the fried chicken is breaded perfectly, the salad is deliciously proportioned, and the wings are to die for (with the best side of ranch in the area... I wish they sold it in tubs to take home!) They do also sell beer and wine for alcoholic beverage options. We also heard they serve brunch as well... which we are excited to try out soon! The inside is charming and is designed with a lot of fun personality. Just a note for accessibility: The indoor seating is all stools and high tops, which may not be comfortable for older guests or guests with mobility limitations. However, the outdoor seating in the warmer months provides a lot more seating variety for everyone - and their patio is absolutely adorable! They do have heated igloos on their patio as well during the colder months. We are so excited to have Backyard in our local community. We bought gift cards for our entire family for Christmas - if you haven't tried Backyard yet, you are missing out!

We made a reservation and seated as soon as we got there. The host is very nice. The menu is great. I liked that they had lattes on the menu and not just regular coffee. Although, we had both. The latte was small, but very good. I ordered the breakfast tacos without me and substituted the mozzarella for cheddar cheese. I got three pretty good sized tacos. That were really good, not a ton of flavor, but they were definitely fresh. We also got an order of the PB&J stuffed French toast, which was absolutely delicious. The peanut butter was warm inside and the French toast was cooked perfectly. We got a blueberry pancake for the table because they have homemade blueberry butter. That was absolutely delicious. No syrup needed! Overall, I really enjoyed the food, and the place was very cute inside. The bathroom was a little rundown and only had one working stall, but other than that it's definitely five stars. We will be back.

We went for brunch and it was filled with about a 15 minute waiting period. Time went by fast, they took our number and texted when the table was ready. The place runs very well and you can tell they're experienced with a busy environment. The food was pretty decent, but not necessarily something I would crave or come back to again and again. The omelettes were fresh, the pancakes were very reminiscent of being cake flavored, service was quick, and prices were about as expected.

It opened at 11:30 so we arrived close to that time, with no reservation. The decor was beautiful and with a fresh nautical feel. We were greeted warmly when we walked in the door and seated right away by the window with a view of the harbor and boats. Our waitress came over right away and gave us our menus - three of them. One was a regular menu, one was lunch specials, and I think the other one was for Chef's selections. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara on the lunch menu and it was amazing! The portion was just enough and was very flavorful and fresh. My friends had chicken Caesar salad and a mixed bowl (not sure about this one). I didn't take pics of our food because we all just dove right in, but I DID take a picture of our dessert. OMG it was bread pudding with fresh whipped cream and ice cream - soooo good!! The place filled up pretty quickly by the time we left it was full. The prices were reasonable and the wine was just fine! I wish I could remember the waitresses name to give her a shout out because she was a doll! Can't wait to visit again!

Review for The Sail Loft - Padanaram, MA…read more If you find yourself in Padanaram (a.k.a. the South Dartmouth secret locals don't really want you to know about), and you skip The Sail Loft? Rookie mistake. This place is the salty soul of Buzzards Bay. Perched right by the marina, it's where boat shoes meet bar stools. You'll see folks who just stepped off a sailboat rubbing elbows with couples dressed for a night in the village. No dress code. No pretension. Just pure coastal New England charm and a vibe that's always buzzing. The inside is lively, the outdoor patio catches that perfect sea breeze, and the bar? It's the heartbeat of the joint. We didn't have a reservation (whoops), and the place was packed--but the bar area saved the day. We snagged a high top by the window just as the line started snaking out the door. The bartenders? Total pros. Fast, friendly, and somehow everywhere at once, without making you feel like an afterthought. Gold star. We kicked off with a round of Apple Martinis--sweet, strong, and not here to mess around. Then came the chowder: a bowl of creamy, clammy goodness, thick enough to stand a spoon in. Potatoes, herbs, and enough richness to warm you from the inside out--June evenings by the bay aren't always balmy. But the star of the show? That lobster roll. Two options: cold and classic, or warm and buttery. We went warm--because why wouldn't you want your lobster swimming in butter? Nestled in a toasted sourdough roll and served with coleslaw and fries. And not just one or the other--both. Apparently, the kitchen was feeling generous, and we weren't about to say no. The fries were crisp on the outside, fluffy inside. The slaw? Creamy, crunchy, and perfectly chilled. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Sail Loft is the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, order another drink, and pretend the boat docked outside is yours.
