WARNING DO NOT USE PERSPECTIV GARDENS We hired them to replace some grass in our backyard. First of all they put down two different types of grass and were supposed to come back and remove the incorrect grass and replace it and never did. Much of the grass they installed was horribly brown and in very poor health. They even installed sod on top of my sprinkler heads!! And then decided to leave a large area probably 10' x 10' with no grass at all. During this time we had also paid them $1600 to repair our water fountain, and he never repaired it or sent anyone to repair it. They basically stole our money. I would not use Perspectiv Gardens or Chris Greenlee. These guys are a scam. We have invoices and receipts as well as pictures for everything. I will be sending all data to our attorney. read more

Highly recommend Perspective Gardens! After 4 years in my home, can finally say I love my flower beds. Chris was amazing to deal with. Very timely with a personal phone call versus email. He took one look at a couple of other flower beds and knew my style right away. The designs presented were above and beyond what I would have pictured. He and his team are professional, very service oriented, extremely timely and patient with those of us who are doing this for the first time. Edit: Reduced to 1 star for failure to take even partial responsibility on the owner's part. Owners blamed me for everything. Issues I had: awful communication, overstepping boundaries, blaming me for plants their designer picked (not me) like weeping cherry trees (not my idea, I didn't know those existed) that wouldn't work in the area they were going, lying about how things happened and being overly personal instead of keeping things very business and professional. I can't with people like this anymore. They think they are in the right but they messed up and couldn't take an ounce of responsibility. Life is too short for landscape drama. Original review: (Also, listen to the other negative review on Yelp because sounds similar to what I experienced). The original software design ($200 fee I paid them) included plants and looks that weren't at all accurate to reality or what I'd imagined, didn't match plants that could grow in the location (they should know that up front and not misplace plants) where the major landscape installation was being done. No worries though, Chris was quick to pivot and help find decent replacements and we deleted a lot off of the original quote. When I got the invoice, everything had been adjusted to around the same software-design price, but for far less product. This was not run by me first cost-wise before installing about 2/3 or more of the product. I only found out after I asked for the updated invoice then questioned it because it was billing me for plants we didn't get and didn't reduce the overall amount by all the items deleted when the software design wasn't realistic or actionable. For the final stage, I asked that Chris provide a corrected invoice after one was sent with over $2000 in overcharge errors. Zen out, he said. Final invoice will have the final price after they do the work. No. I don't want work done then find out how much I'm paying. I want to reduce the final work done due to the price rising, to lessen the budget. I let him know I need an updated accurate invoice and I need to approve the amounts before anything is picked up or installed. I don't want a mystery bill after the fact. All of this was started by me simply asking for the revised price up front, so I wouldn't go over budget. It could've been easily resolved by just complying, getting me an accurate revised invoice, and asking if I was ok with moving forward. His work is average I guess, his crew is excellent, he's lucky to have them. But he force teamed me, complained about how busy he is and how much staff he has doing things for him, and said his phone ringing off the hook is great but it's driving him nuts. Then told me to be zen over wanting the pricing in advance. He referred to his spotless reviews far too often, like that absolved his responsibility to just give me the price up front. The headache of working with him as a single woman, it was so condescending and manipulative. No thank you. I just want straight shooting, no upselling or bait and switch. I don't need the added stress of dealing with manipulation or mansplaining. There are a lot of landscapers. If you care about being valued as an individual and your vendor sticking to your budget and price transparency as you go, this may not be your first choice. The invoicing issue just ruined the entire experience and left a bad taste in my mouth, making me anything but zen. read more

We moved into our house late last year and did nothing with the yard--so it was an utter Jungle. We hired Chris at Perspectiv Gardens out of Rockwall to do a complete redo. They were quick, really listened to our needs, and very reasonably priced. Not to mention they did a great job. They were even able to get me a good fig tree in October! However, in searching for Chris's phone number today, I now have a chance to share my perception of my experience with Perspective Gardens during the summer of 2022. Rather than ramble on, adjectives should speak in lieu of lengthy sentences...patient (I had endless questions), reliable (stayed in contact about schedule), knowledgeable (suggested ideas and options that I was unaware of), fair (pricing), exquisite (outcome and appearance) etc. I could share more but the one statement that should speak volumes...this is 2 years later, and I am contacting Chris at Perspectiv Gardens as a return customer because my needs have changed, and I am looking forward to working with him again! He was prompt in responding, answered my millions of questions as a first time homeowner/first time landscaping anything, and sent me detailed instructions on how to take care of the beautiful plants he planted. He sold my parents a ton of infected trees and when my mom questioned him about it he acted like she was crazy and then told her he could warranty them for thousands of dollars. She spent well over 10k on the original job and he wanted to then charge thousands more getting a warranty on already infected trees. Now all the trees are dying and we lost 10k. He wouldn't answer her calls or texts and acted like we were stupid each time we asked. He also tried ripping us off on a drain project in our yard and when caught just ran from the problem. Absolute scam artist do not use him. If I could leave 0 stars I would. read more

I can't recommend Chris from Perspectiv Gardens enough. He is communicative, on time and helpful. Throughout the entire process he made recommendations based on our area, should up a 'mock up' before we aggreged and has provided us with information to help keep all of our new plants thriving. Chris was very quick in responding to our inquiry. He helped us figure out what would look great for our yard while staying within our budget. My wife and I know nothing about plants/landscaping and he was able to break everything down simple enough for us to help us understand what would work best. Within a week of our inquiry his team was at our house reshaping our lawn to one of the best lawns on our street. I hired Perspective Gardens to redo the landscaping in the front and back yards of my house. They were very professional except with their advice about the sprinklers. When planning the job, I asked them about the sprinklers, and I was told they will help me with that at the end of the job. After they finished, the landscape was nice and neat. They recommended someone to do the sprinklers job. The problem is the sprinkler guy had to move rocks and break landscaping fabric to do the repairs. He did his best to leave the landscape as it was, but the area is now exposed to an easier growth of weeds because of the broken fabric. It was then that I realized the sprinkler job should have been done after the old plants were removed and before setting the new landscape up. The landscaper should have anticipated something like this might happen. When I told Chris he said I should spray weed killer when the weeds grew. It wasn't the considerate kind of answer I expected. read more

He was very thoughtful about which plants to plant based on our needs/location, and his team did a fantastic job.
