A friend mentioned that a new camera store had popped up, and it just so happened that he was there on the first day of business. So we popped over en route to a ceramics sale (that's pretty NELA, right?) and checked it out on day two. I was blown away by the wonderful selection of vintage cameras, from Graflex 4x5 to Nikon 35mm to Mamiya and Fuji medium format. They have a fantastic selection of very intentionally curated photgraphy books, too. Artists I hadn't heard of, inspiring photography, and all artfully presented. I didn't check out the film supplies but I will on my next visit, which will be soon. Jason was there and after introducing himself, he told us about how the store came about. I could truly sense his passion for photography and his honest vision to create a space where people can connect on life experiences and the photographic arts. To that end, there is a beautiful Donald Judd-style plywood table with a few photo books atop it. Clearly, the store is designed to inspire human dialogue and connection. Just being in the store for 15 minutes inspired me to keep pushing on my photography practice...it's easy to get a little lost and I feel like spaces like Eagle Rock Camera & Goods will catalyze and inspire people to keep exploring their creativity and craft. All in all, Eagle Rock Camera & Goods feels like a positive, inclusive, and very inspiring addition to a community constantly in flux. Bravo, Jason and Raymond! And bonus -- Jason's wife's store, Odd Bird Company, is right next door...amazing Turkish Textiles and other housewares. And definitely worth checking out.

We had a horrible experience with this place We went here…read morebecause we had gotten an offer for a good deal that included all digital photos When we got there, their gate wasn't working and with a 3 week old had to wait for over 2 hours for them to fix it While taking the photos we had people asking the photographer a million questions and they had to pause several times which made my baby very fussy When it came time to pay they said for 16 pictures we had to pay 1200$ Which was not what they originally advertised This place is a major scam The only reason I came here was the distance and the advertisement The pricing says digital photos included but its a lie. They will only give you the digital photos of the package you pick, if you pick a package with 4 photos you only get 4 digital not all photos If we knew we had to pay 1200$ for pictures we would have went back to the original place we always go to 500$ flat fee all photos included and much much cuter props You would think with the major inconvenience they would have accommodated Do not recommend Save your money and do your research There are soooo many other places with better pricing and props Response to you Margo, I was not referring to the 69$ or whatever you are even talking about I am referring to your regular prices online and how its presented and worded to pull people in, you guys are very unprofessional as very evident in your response Your manager did not call me until 11:30 and I was driving from Santa Clarita and it was too late for me to return back, your business issues are not any of my concern, thats your concern.
