I got estimates from two different places: a dealership and a franchise auto repair shop. The dealership's quote was four times higher than what Quick Stop suggested. If you're in need of reliable auto repair, I highly recommend Quick Stop Mufflers and Brakes. Stay FAR away from this place. My brother approved a $915…read moretune-up. That's it! After the work was done, they called saying he was going to need a fuel pump, he clearly said NO. When he got there, the bill was suddenly $1,515. They went ahead and replaced the fuel pump without authorization and then presented him paperwork to sign AFTER the work was already done. That is completely unacceptable and honestly feels like a scam. He was put in a position where we had no choice but to pay an extra $600 he never agreed to, just to get the vehicle back. No written approval, no integrity, no accountability. If you value your money, do NOT trust this shop nor trust Kevin or Louis! There name should be Shiesters On Western! They are NOT BBB aceddited for a reason. This place is a joke!

I took it to Diaz Complete Auto Care on Harlem, and Rick was incredibly helpful from the start. He offered to test the vehicle at no extra charge to ensure the starter was the problem. I had the car towed to him right away, and he went above and beyond--filling the tires with air and checking all the oils without me even asking. Given some of the prior reviews, I was initially skeptical (and even joked with him about it), but my experience was excellent. The work on my car was done professionally, and I couldn't be happier. It's hard to find mechanics you can truly trust, but I'm glad I found one here. I'll definitely be recommending Rick to friends and family, and if you're considering this shop, I highly recommend it as well!
