Once he arrived, we headed inside. We were greeted outside the doors though, which was a warm welcome that you don't often see anymore. Nice touch! We entered the gift shop area and were directed where to check in for a tour. Troy was exceptionally helpful in explaining what the tour would entail, and he provided each of us with a small bag with a keepsake shot glass and other pamphlets. Once the tour started, I was pleased to see that Troy would be a tour guide. Troy began by escorting us into the social room that is available to large groups and gave us some great insight into the history of the property, and how the back landscaped area came into being. I was very impressed at how clean the facility was, and how immaculate the outside back area appeared. Looks like a great place to sit and sip bourbon! Troy then took us over to the old manufacturing area that houses the original still built by AJ, the Master Distiller. Troy gave us the history behind Alfred Jones, and how the 'Casey' moniker came into being. He described in detail how Casey had perfected his moonshine recipe, but was eventually caught and sent to a minimum-security prison twice for his bootlegging efforts. Troy imparted to us how the family worked to become legal, and how the distilling of bourbon came to fruition. We also had a the opportunity to sample some newly distilled bourbon that was colorless (White Lightning!). It packed a punch and was not a beverage you'd want to sip on regularly! We then visited the recently constructed production building, thanks to a $2 million capital investment that has allowed this fine distillery to grow. Troy told us about differing recipes, and how the four key grains (corn, barley, rye, and wheat) enter into the equation to produce varying spirits. WE had the opportunity to go up on the catwalk to see the enormous vats, and the actual copper cookers that were adjacent to those tanks. I asked where the cookers were manufactured, but Troy was not aware. Not a huge deal, but might be something to have on hand in the future (made in the good ol' USA!). We concluded the tour by returning to the main building from where the tour started, and had the opportunity to try a small taste of bourbon aged in amburana-wood barrels. Absolutely delicious, and my friend's favorite! WE finished the tour by having a small sampling of the distilleries offerings, to include bourbon, moonshine, and and (the name escapes me, forgive me) a spirit to make margaritas! We found the entire experience to be well-worth the drive (I came from Clarksville, and my friend from White House) and would whole-heartedly recommend! My friend and I have done the tours at MB Roland and Old Glory, but our favorite remains Casey Jones'. I will bring my son and his wife out next time they visit from Wisconsin! Thank you to AJ, Peg, Troy, and the entire crew at CJ. :)

Incredible and personal experience when you get to bottle your own Bourbon straight out of the barrel, lucky to meet the founder Peg and master distiller AJ and get the bottle autographed by him.. The space…read moreis beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and inviting. They offer a wide range of drinks..dry to sweet wines, beer, and even wine slushies--so there's something for everyone. The wine slushies were my favorite! We enjoyed their flatbread-style pizza, which was a perfect size for two. Plus, you can bring your own snacks so thats a huge bonus; we brought a charcuterie board to share. It's also pet-friendly, which is a huge bonus! They prefer pets to stay outside, but if you're traveling solo or just popping in to grab a drink, you're welcome to bring your furry friend inside to order and not have to leave them alone! There was live music during our visit, adding to the lovely atmosphere. I only wish it were closer to Memphis so I could visit more often, but I'll definitely be back!

The $40 tour includea a tour of their winemaking area, bottling room, and vineyard. After the tour, we began the en guided tasting. We also purchased pizzas, cheese plates and wine slushy flights. As a souvenir, you receive a wine glass and t-shirt to take home. Staff: super helpful and friendly. They also helped capture photos of us as well. Location: the grounds are beautiful and very aesthetic for photo ops. Vineyard: lovely vines with plump grapes. I enjoyed the sampling as I love seeded grapes. Favs from the tasting: Tiara: Sparkling, semi-sweet white Cayuga White: off-dty white Cranberry Rose: sweet rose Blackberry: sweet fruit Blueberry Twist: sweet fruit
