When I moved to the area the search for a new place began. I feel like I got the jackpot finding Lash Folk. Seriously. Laura has been incredible across the board. Ease of booking, communication, energy, the space and the application. All perfect. Her skill and attention to detail is top notch. My lashes look good and FEEL good. She spends time talking about the desired look sharing her professional opinion. Thanks to that my lashes look better than they have in 10 years. After my first appointment my husband complimented my lashes for the first time ever. He said, "wow! Your lashes actually look really good. They make your whole face prettier but they're also more subtle than they used to be. Definitely go to her again." My whole family also noticed and said they look really well done, too. But for me, the most important thing is that they FEEL so good. Or that I don't feel them at all. Laura is such an expert.. I really mean that. Every lash is perfectly placed so that they're straight, both eyes look balanced and compliment the eye shape and they don't poke anywhere. That's a big deal and I know from experience that even the nicest, most popular salons with the highest price tags don't always have technicians that focus on those important details. So have no doubt your lashes will look like a million bucks. Just don't even worry about that. As a bonus, going to Lash Folk will be as much of a spa, meditation, relaxing experience as it is a beautification time! Laura's energy is so beautiful and the salon is SO peaceful and clean. So I was late back to work - not a huge deal because my schedule is flexible but adding thirty minutes to the end of my day wasn't appreciated. But okay. Shit happens. The pedicure was good. No pushing me for upgrades, no pressure. I appreciate that. The manicure - good god. He cut every single one of my fingers. Every. Single. One. And LAUGHED about it repeatedly. It was a TERRIBLE experience on my second visit again! First I asked for bubble bath powder dip for my mani. They rushed through it, so much so that they didn't even put it under a lamp or give me a hand and arm lotion mini massage. Then rushed me over to pedicure where they said they would match my color. Came back twice with not a matching color but a horrible coral! Under the lights, the rushed feeling I was experiencing, I said fine. I don't v like tiger color at all and they certainly don't match my nails but beyond that, they barely touched my calluses. I paid (with tip) a total of $90 and worse of all, here it is, not even one week later I have three chipped nails (as if it was regular polish, not the dip. I should have known. The first time they burned all my cuticles and now they did a rushed job, charged me for powder dip when really it v was just a manicure, decided on their own color and barely worked on the calluses on my feet. I will never go back again! I will say the Zen at Cambridge square was a totally different experience for the same thing I got and the powder lasted over two months! I would definitely recommend THAT Zen at Cambridge. I am including a picture of the bad job they did and I now have to spend another $90 to have them properly at the other zen at Cambridge! When going for a pedicure they give you menu of what type of pedicure you want and how much it is, the most simple on is $29, it's not exactly cheap but you get what you pay for.
