a plate of eggs and bacon

If I could give it a negative review I would. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated. After ordering we waited 45 more minutes to get food. The restaurant was not busy. When we got the food it was mostly cold and my eggs had two hairs in it. The waiter was really kind but whoever is cooking should be fired.

Who is Perkin? There's no apostrophe in the name so I guess that makes it a plural, right? That means whatever a Perkin is, they must be in the kitchen where we can't see. Is a Perkin like a merkin? Mysteries aside, it's no mystery the majority of menu items come from a huge freezer by way of microwave to your table. But what Perkins sacrifices in flavor it makes up in margarine scoops. If grandma eats here, so can you. Three syrups: the holy trinity. Pro Tip: skip the half priced pie slices and go straight for the skill crane. Think you got the chops for skill crane? Better gas your body up with some carbs and coffee. Try the pancakes, the calories are listed on the menu. Don't confuse them with prices. Don't take a date here unless you intend to divorce them someday.

The food here is always great, customer service is almost always good there, staff is very friendly. One of the times i went there with my significant other it took almost 30 minutes for our waitress to ask us what we wanted to order, but that was our only bad experience there & we go there quite often. I highly recommend this perkins.

So, never stepped foot in Red Wing before, but had to be here for a graduation. Noticed Perkins next to the Best Western we were staying at...hey, it's pretty decent. Breakfast was fast, our server was nice and attentive and food was pretty good! Give it a shot!

Great service and food at our local Perkins. I'll be honest and say my kids love it more. We've always had a pleasant dinning experience.

The restaurant overlooks the river and has that classic small-town Main Street charm. One unique touch is that it sits just above the railroad tracks--we were lucky enough to catch a train rolling through during our meal, which added to the atmosphere. We started with a half-pound of the boneless teriyaki wings. They were perfectly fine but didn't leave much of an impression. Think classic bar wings--crispy, saucy, and satisfying, but nothing that really stood out from what you'd find elsewhere. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with a side of tater tots. The buffalo flavor was good, but the wrap leaned a little too heavily on the lettuce. She would have liked more chicken and for it to be a bit crispier to balance everything out. Our server recommended the Brisket Burger, and I'm glad I listened. It's a towering burger that's almost a meal for two--I probably could've skipped the appetizer. The smoked brisket added plenty of richness, and there were a lot of flavors working together. My only critique is that the beef patty itself could've used a bit more seasoning to help it stand out alongside the brisket. I paired it with the potato salad, which had a creamy, egg-forward base but could've benefited from a little more seasoning and brightness. While not every dish was a home run, the atmosphere was the star of the visit. Between the river views, historic downtown feel, and trains rolling by, Kelly's Tap House is a fun place to spend a summer afternoon or evening. We'd stop back again, especially to enjoy the location and explore more of the menu.

I consider myself a "obsessed foodie " so I was pleased when Cory the chef came out of the kitchen and walked around the dining room. We were having a cocktail at the bar so we waved him over to ask what he recommended . I took his advice and ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly. Very tender and paired really well with the roasted corn and bacon. The whipped feta was very cold, which was interesting, but the flavor was tangy so it offset the richness of the bacon and scallops. The beef tenderloin was delicious cooked perfect medium rare. The broccolini was a little tough and the blue cheese sauce could have been a little thicker. It was kind of runny. I will be back to try more items on the menu. Excited the restaurant is open again.

The Char was great but the navy bean veggies underneath were so salty they were not edible. Hopefully these are things that can be improved. Probably won't return for the food.

The advertising while all other tours listed a buffet which led us to believe this was not a buffet tour. Also, they continually ran out of food for each round except the main course so we ended up only getting a portion of the ticket that we paid for. Each pairing actually happened with two courses and two wine pairings with no mention of which went with which. Lighting was also bad, by the time the daylight turned into twilight or later it was too bright inside the boat. Couldn't see the outside views at all. Overall, as someone who has done several dinner cruises, I would give this a 2 star tops. The food equaled that of airline food and the wine was solidly mediocre. The atmosphere equaled redneck hospitality on a good day and Walmart hoodies or pajamas on a good day.

THE FOOD!!!!! I…read moreordered through Door Dash to my hotel room so I don't have information about the location... and technically I don't have information about the staff. But I can tell you that whoever determined the menu and keeps everyone on track, and probably everyone at the restaurant put a little love into the place and a lot of love into their coworkers. You CAN taste the difference when people are happy. We went with an order of 3 large shrimp for each of us, and a half chicken and ribs with coleslaw and sweet potatoe fries. The shrimp were incredible! The size! The juiciness, the ability to get every bit of meat out of the tail! Everything about these was everything that I wanted. I couldn't believe that one serving of just 3 was so filling! (I think you would need 6 Red Lobster butterfly shrimp to equal the size of one but you cannot compare the taste as these are peel & eat.) Then I opened the protein box and realized that I had made the embarrassing mistake of not ordering a barbecue sauce. Humph. I think that should not have been such an easy mistake to make on their site. Thankfully, both of us like grilled food without dripping sauces and ... OMG ... We were not disappointed in the food! The ribs were like eating a meat candy. They were such a joy to hold the bone and just lightly pull the tender sweet meat off. There was barely any fat. The spice rub brought out the juices from deep inside the meat but only let them sit on the meat and inside the skin. The chicken was amazing! The dark meat practically ran juices down the front of our shirts as we bit into it, the same way that sweet corn does. The white meat was so juicy it was like the typical dark meat that most people achieve on Thanksgiving. Now, the coleslaw was one of the blandest I've tasted but I figured if you do have one of the spicier barbecue sauces you might be using it as a foil. Helping you to calm your mouth's fire down with the dressing. Of course, fries don't travel well and sweet potatoe are no different. But they were absolutely everything I expected. They were delicious!! I am having surgery in April and trying to see how to ship this food to me after that now. ;)

However, in execution I was a bit disappointed. I came with a group of 6, and I ordered the southwest sandwich with brisket. The disappointing thing about seeing the pass with the food in it, is that you can see your food sit. I saw my friends sandwich sitting for a good 10 minutes. It was just a bit slow. The brisket was bland, and was overpowered by the spicy aioli. They also forgot to ring up our to go order which was a bummer. The hotel breakfast across the street had a better smoked meat.
