Patty melt with American cheese and onion rings !
    Lorraine W.

Great service very good food. Bread was crisp and crunchy so were the onion rings ! The food has improved greatly in the last month. Amendment : ordered American cheese on the patty melt I got cheddar and the waitress did not return to check on the order.

This review will cover several items at this Perkins. Not all were consumed at one sitting. I'll start with the food I'm eating tonight-the turkey meal, which includes turkey slices, stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy and two sides of your choice. The turkey was juicy and had good taste. I got mashed potatoes and corn with my meal. The mashed potatoes were good. The stuffing was typical restaurant type, perfectly hydrated(not too dry). The corn had very little taste, but looks bright yellow and pretty(!). All in all, it was a good hearty meal that I would enjoy eating again. As I tell most folks in my reviews, sign up for emails and get the apps. of the places you like to dine at. Perkins has a couple good deals that come via emails. Also, be sure to clock in with your phone number at the counter. Last week, I had the three "handpies" and they were good. There could have been more blueberries in the blueberry one, but it was ok. The two breakfast ones, one with bacon and the other with polish sausage, were also good. Overall, these ranged about a 5-7 on a 10 scale. The previous order I had gotten was the $5 for 5 meal. This week, that will cost an extra $0.50 per egg, due to scarcity of eggs and high prices(I thought this dude was supposed to reduce the prices on day 1-or that's what he PROMISED) anyway, this order had 1 egg, over easy, 2 slices bacon and 2 pancakes and it was hot, fresh and I enjoyed it very much. I've taken all my meals to go, but the restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and there's such a wide variety of food here that you can't really get a bad meal. Lot parking. Prices not much higher than fast food, yet it's a sit down place. MarcyDiner'sTantrumScale 5/5- NoScreamingKids. CyHawkApproved and loved. I'll post a pic of the handpies.

The server was okay, checked up on us and made sure that everything was okay. And the food was also okay, I ordered the eggs avocado Benedict (that comes with fruit) and I found 3 small black hairs in my fruit. Other then that overall everything was good. Edited: Slow service

    NEW Potato Pancake Platter

Your typical breakfast diner food! One thing that really intrigued me on their menu is the potato pancake platter! Three potato pancakes with two eggs, fruit or bacon, and a small side of apple sauce. This will have you full in no time! I definitely recommend this dish. The portions were very filling. I could hardly finish all of my food. The customer service was very friendly and we got our food fairly quickly too.

What exactly is the point of going to Perkins if they are not open 24 hours? We went there at 9:50pm, the manager or the person there just told us we were their last table and was super rude to only us although 2 other parties walked in with us. Why did we walk in at 10pm? Because their website says they are open till 12 am. So does google. The rice was undercooked, the tilapia was without any seasoning. The only thing that was good was the apple pie. Come on, it's tilapia. How do you not season it is beyond me. It also seems like they are understaffed. There is only one person in charge of an entire room with many tables.

My friend said it best "I'm not overwhelmed but I'm not underwhelmed!" Good pancakes, eggs that always confuse me, and PIE!! I'd say it's equivalent with all the other Perkins I've gone to. But I keep coming back. I convince myself it's cheaper than other places but it's probably about the same. I like coming here late at night they have some specials that start at 9 but occasionally I'll crave it in the mornings. It's like a once every few months place or a great place to easily get a big group!

    Hearty Man's Combo

Good value for money. The food was neither awesome nor poor, it was okay. However, my daughter and I enjoyed splitting our meal. We ordered the HEARTY MAN'S COMBO* Two eggs, smoked sausage, two Applewood smoked bacon strips and two sausage links with choice of hash browns, breakfast potatoes, tots or fruit and choice of three buttermilk pancakes, Mammoth Muffin®, buttered toast or two biscuits. We got the buttermilk pancakes. The eggs were fine. We enjoyed the smoked sausage. The bacon was okay. We liked the link sausage. Tots were perfectly crispy outside and soft on the inside. The pancakes satisfied our sweet tooth. Breakfast was pleasant and nice for the wallet.

    Here with family traveling through.

Desperately poor service. Hostess avoided us for at least 5 minutes. Looks like it's Chick-filet next time.

Perkins serves snacks from 9pm until 6am the next morning.

Came in on a weeknight with coworkers and received good service and fantastic food. Nice drink menu (I enjoyed their take on the old fashioned) with cocktails and a nice craft beer selection. And despite a solid menu, I'm a creature of habit and chose what I "always do (with a glass of white wine). SOUP + SALAD + BREAD cup of soup (my choice: Salmon Chowder), house salad, warm multigrain roll, whipped cottage cheese dip Delicious, relatively healthy, and just the right amount of food. And I don't forget to pick up one of their wonderful baked goods on the way out.

Disappointed to say the least, I came in the back door not realized there was a correct door and was rudely cut off by other patrons at the front desk. I had to wait several minutes to be waited on and the place had plenty of spots. Maybe because I was a party of 1... they didn't seem to care. After I shared what drink I wanted, I learned they were out... fine no problem. I asked about the Thai specials, the waitress was clueless. I had to ask for the restaurant week menu and ask about the specials. She said they looked good but couldn't describe them and hasn't tasted them. I got the salad on special, but get this... they were out of the main restaurant week special... such a let down. The ambiance was mixed, one corner was a cute date night the other corner was crying children. All dimly lit and outdated decor. The whole experience was off, I ended up leaving after my one drink and salad. I hope to give this place a second chance sometime but hope they aren't out of dishes and I can get a trained server. Maybe another night for sure!

A table next to us had some sort of a problem with one of the dinners and the server tried many many times to get the customer to order a replacement, but he said he was OK with what he got. When she brought the check to them she made sure to take that off since he did not eat it and would not accept a replacement. They seem shocked at this, but I wondered why they just didn't get a replacement! Great service by that server. She was also our server and did a fantastic job with us. The UK beer choices were wonderful despite not having Speckled hen available. I was torn between the fish and chips and the pork vindaloo having been a fan of across the pond fare for decades. I opted for the former. While the chips were perfect and the curry sauce second to none, midway through the meal I realized why I didn't love the fish. The batter. On advice of other reviewers I ordered the dish crispy and I think that helped but I finally realized not only did I not love the fish-the batter made me hate it. I finished the latter half inside out if you will and that made it acceptable. Maybe the vindaloo will turn my opinion but in inquiry I was told it was a medium hot-which in the Midwest typically means mild. Maybe next time.
