the employees are very nice. my sandwiches are always very consistent and taste good. the bread is always fresh (even the 50¢ day old bread seems fresh!!) very quick and reliable. however this store has a consistent problem of closing early. i also work in a short-staffed food service job, and i can recall one time in my 2 years working there where we closed early. I order online and they end up refunding me but that shouldn't be an issue. just because the day is slow doesn't mean you can close early. that's not how a business runs. i get that short staffing is frustrating and hard to deal with, but it is no reason to close unless literally every person but your minimum required calls out. read more

Jimmy John's is so overrated. I'd heard of the place but this was my first time eating at a location. Cheap shredded lettuce and lunchmeat. I got The Gargantuan which tasted fair. It was a nice size for the price, which I'll say is the store's positive aspect. Subway has more flavor. I have nothing negative to specifically say about this Jimmy John's. A lot of my friends go there because it's in Campustown and affordable. read more

This Jimmy Johns on Welch is in a great location to get a sandwich at any time of the day! Most people probably know what you are going to get when you come here. They have solid sandwiches for a decent price but when I was there the staff seemed to mix up a lot of orders and just take a long time to make the sandwiches. Some pretty good sandwiches but some average at best service and a small seating area. read more

Jimmy John's is another in a long line of sandwich shops, along the lines of Subway, Togo's, etc. Personally, I'd rather have a corned beef on rye in a real deli, but I'll take Jimmy John's in a pinch or when I'm hungry for Lunch in the Campustown area. The sandwiches that I've had at Jimmy John's have been tasty (and maybe in a Midwest bland sort of way), a good value, and with service that has been friendly and helpful. read more

Jimmy John's for the bread win. The stuff is soft, and if bread could be supple, it would be. Sourdough and French made a baby, and named it a Jimmy John's loaf. Screw the wheat sliced jumbo bread and go for the calorie slugging genius that is the roll. As for the meats and cheeses, this is nothing short of the deli counter at Hy-Vee. There is nothing special behind the bar except for the ridiculous amount of mayo that graces the bread. The sandwiches are not for people on a diet...these sandwich 'artists' plop on artory-clogging Hellman's mayo. Add a few more samplings of juicy-juicy oil and vinegar, mustard and whatever else the spatula can scoop, and you have found the reason people find it so wonderful. Meat, eh. Lettuce, eh. Cheese, eh. Nothing special. This isn't anything I can't make at home buying one of their day old bread and turkey from the store. If you haven't really had a freakin' genius hoagie or italian roll from a REAL deli, than these are pretty decent sandwiches. If you have, you will wonder what all the fuss it about. read more

I dont care what any one says. Jimmy Johns beats Subway hands down every time. The prices are the same and they are 10 times fast and taste 20 times better. They are open late for the college campus so it tastes great at any times of the day. Be warned though it can get pretty crowded on Friday/ Saturday nights. read more

Garbage delivery area. They won't deliver a half mile west of their store and instead of calling me back to notify me they just canceled the order after it was already made. Manager couldn't come up with a reason why they can't deliver and just stuttered when I asked him why they didn't call me to tell me when I was waiting for the food until 1:20 AM during finals week. read more

When I went to this location a week ago after I swiped my card the employee told me my card didn't go through. I swiped it again then later saw he charged my twice. When I went back to ask to speak with a manager the manager had a hard time believing me and said it didn't add up. He asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I said If you cannot refund me could I have the same sandwich that I already paid for. After doubting me, he handed me the sandwich and said "I'll remember your face so don't try this again". As if I was lying. Very poor customer service. If the employees were properly trained this wouldn't of been an issue. Me nor any of my companions will be returning. I've ordered from Jimmy John's before, not this one but others, and have always only had good things to say about them. Needless to say I never complain about anything online, this is one exception. I ordered a sandwich at 9:45 P.M. Thursday night online, and normally a delivery takes around 20-30 minutes. I don't mind the wait. An hour of waiting for the delivery person I called Jimmy John's and asked where my order was after reading online that this branch had been an hour or so late. They replied that my delivery had just left with a delivery person on a bike. (Take into account I could have walked there and back in a time slot of 25 minutes or so, I just had stuff to do at home.) Almost an entire hour later, at 11:30 my food had still not shown up. At this point I was fed up and cancelled my order. I'm never going to try to order from this branch again. read more

For the second time in 10 days they have had to refund me because they "couldn't deliver". Claimed they were "out of bread" but when I went in there the next day they had yesterday's bread out and for sale? Absolutely obscene and a disgrace to the standard of any Jimmy Johns I've ever been to. read more
