Ok this was a hidden gem! I was here for work and I had to make a stop. So glad we did! The staff was awesome! And the dark side iced coffee was salty and sweet. Get a medium tbh. And everything was just great! I need some merch though.

I was looking for a nice place to chat and have a nice cup of coffee with my sister , and I came across this coffee shop. Me And my sister absolutely loved it ! I was feeling kinda anxious because I didn't know if I was gonna feel comfortable but that wasn't the case , we felt welcomed and the service was great. Our coffees were really good also we loved the atmosphere in this coffee shop ! Definitely recommend for anyone that is looking to relax, catch up with friends, also seen people working from home in their laptops.

Pleasantly suprised to come across this alternative coffee shop while heading to a nearby shop. We got The Fog and an iced matcha latte, both were great! The atmosphere is comfortable with neat wall art. They have really nice merchandise such as clothing, stickers and mugs. Will definitely make sure to stop by next time I am in CT.

The creativity and fun behind the branding and marketing of this place is incredible! My wife and I loved the warm lighting, fun vibes and drinks. We got a smashing pumpkins latte and cold brew that were both phenomenal.

Recommended: Yes, for amazing coffee, a relaxed vibe, and a perfect spot to try new things. Overall: A cozy spot with delicious coffee and treats, ideal for a relaxed coffee date or quick snack break. Snapshot: Coffee: 5/5 Pastries: 4/5 Vibe: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 5/5 ‍‍ Family-Friendly: 5/5 Highlights: Perfect For: Coffee dates and trying treats from different local spots Don't Miss: The cold brew and cookies Bonus Tip: Check out the factory's common area--it's perfect to chill with kids while you sip your coffee All The Details: Purgatory Coffee in the Factory Building is the first location I ever visited, and it's the place that made me fall in love with their coffee. Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with their cold brew? It's hands-down one of the best I've ever had. This spot also often has delicious cookies, which are perfect for a quick treat. The setup is small, so we usually don't sit inside the actual shop, but the common area of the factory building is ideal. There's plenty of seating and lounge space, and I love that my daughter can run around a little while I enjoy my coffee. If I'm in the mood for something else, I can grab coffee from Purgatory, breakfast from The Lab, and a treat from Hard-Core Sweets--this place is perfect if you love sampling and trying different local spots. It's the perfect place for a coffee date or a quick stop for something delicious, and I can't wait to keep coming back!

What a fantastic find this was! My wife was getting her hair cut at a salon in the same building, and I tagged along for an adventure. To kill some time I wandered into Perkatory. First impression was that it is super vibey . . . in a good way. They had a voluminous amount of esoteric flavors, but I opted for a simple cup of what was on the brew to try to get a baseline feel for the flavor of the coffee. I think the roasting had a very Goldilocks feel--not too dark, not too light, just right. I feel like it had a slightly nutty taste. Thoroughly enjoyable. I cannot wait to go back to try a more adventurous offering. I also wanted to point out that the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It felt like I'd been coming there for years. Lastly, I recommend grabbing a cup and ensconcing yourself in one of the plentiful seating options in the main foyer.

Nice spot in downtown Southington. The building is just a great old factory that has been renovated and has a nice vibe. As long as as you either something simple or are not in a hurry, they do a pod job. At busy hours just plan on enjoying the wait time. There is a common area where you can bring work or something to read.

I have now been to all locations of Perkatory Coffee. They are all in sneaky, hidden locations. As I was leaving the Southington location, two people asked me where it is. It's in an old factory, that's been renovated to feature multiple businesses. Perkatory Coffee in Southington is small, but it is cozy and very inviting. They have a long bar table where you can sit, or cozy arm chairs. There are skeletons, and so many stickers plastered all over the front counter. I got a small hot salted caramel latte with regular whole milk. It was $7.00. That's pretty expensive especially since I didn't get any fancy milk. It was ready really quickly. I sat down with it on the comfy chair and enjoyed. This was very tasty, it was just like a salted caramel, except none of it was getting stuck in my teeth. This coffee is super strong, it will give you an instant caffeine kick! Perkatory is a fun place to get a coffee, but I wouldn't make it a habit.

Perkatory is one of our favorite coffee spots and it's a treat for us to go there since the closest one is half an hour+ away! We love the seating area outside the coffee shop as it's very cozy and inviting! They have very smooth and bold flavors and everything about them makes us wish they were closer!! If you're a coffee lover, make the time to go check one of their locations out!

This place is so cute in a badass cozy way! The inside has some options for you to sit and enjoy your order or you have plenty of seating options out in the main communal space to sit and hangout. We ordered a vanilla latte and a white mocha latte. They were both very good. They have lots of coffee options along with some eats such as bagels and rice crispy bars. This place is a must try!

Cute place in a factory building along the trail. The service was a 5. Iced matcha latte was ok. I was expecting it to be better for the price of 5.75 for a small serving size (the extra $1 was for almond milk). Had lots of ice so it didn't take long to drink. I liked the warehouse very be of the area so I will try again for the drip coffee to see if that is better.

Whether you read my other review for the Middletown location first or not yet, spoiler warning, the only that is different between the two are the photos. I really do love this place. Aesthetically, it is everything I love in a local coffee shop. I believe this time I ordered the Birthday Cake latte. It was a latte on their specials that day. For the most part, anytime I walk into any local coffee shop, I will more times than not order drinks from their special's menu just because......why not. I guess the last one to check out is the West Hartford location so stay tuned for that one. Coming soon.

This was a tricky place to find! It's in a large warehouse building. When I found it, we waited in a large line. There aren't really food options either unless I missed that? We ordered 3 signature coffees and I honestly didn't like the flavors of any. One was like a bananas foster one, chocolate strawberry, and a blended caramel coffee. I don't remember the exact names. They looked beautiful but didn't taste very good; the banana had too much artificial flavoring and the chocolate strawberry was bitter and there was no caramel flavor in the last. I would try this place again because it's cute inside- I just wouldn't go out of my way agin got it! Also there is not really any seats in the cafe you have to sit outside of it.

Love their coffee!! I am a huge fan of their "blonde roast" that they call Hi Hat. Probably the…read morebest blonde that I have ever tasted. So I finally got to see their storefront, and the place smells wonderful! They have an assortment of caramels and toffees, as well as a wall of bagged coffee beans, and another wall of cute coffee mugs. A very nice assortment! Today, I purchased their Hi Hat and a bag of their Blackbird Pond. It's a Bean from Nicaragua San Juan del Rio Coco, with notes of dark chocolate, almond, and cream. I'm getting a new espresso machine soon, and I can't wait to make this on it! Siobhan is very friendly and we chatted up a bit. Now I know where they are, I'll be coming by more often!

Drum Roll is predominantly a coffee roaster, but they sell some merch as well. They may serve beverages on site, but that doesn't seem to be a focus of the website or store and I was in and out when I visited. I did not see any seating. I bought two things at the small, thin store in OW, and I also recently had cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee at Bake Market in Rocky Hill. The following things stood out. First, the person who helped me, who I assume was the owner, was conversant in coffee terms that matter to me. Sometimes I talk to a store employee about single origins or roast levels, and they don't know what to say. The person who helped me knows coffee and they had a good selection. Second, my Ethiopian Single Origin Beans I used for a home pour over, turned iced coffee, were obviously fresh roasted. You could taste the roast. A coffee can actually be too fresh roasted, and based upon experience, I think some of the listed tasting notes will be more prominent in a few more days. I usually wait 7 to 10 days after the roast date before using coffee. For this reason, putting the roast date on the bag might be a good move. Third, the coffee bag is a high end bag. I buy a lot of craft coffee over the internet. Some places try to have useful bags, and some places try to save money on bags. Drum Roll has a ziplock style seal that makes keeping coffee fresh easier. Their bag is on par with other top places. Fourth, Drum Roll serves canned cold coffee. I'm not sure if they rotate their offerings. I bought one snap chilled Papua New Guinea Cold Brew can. It was very smooth and above average for a canned coffee product. Fifth, I don't remember the exact price, but I remember thinking the price was reasonable. I would definitely buy more bags if I happened to be in OW when I needed coffee beans and Drum Roll is open. Sixth, Bake Market's cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee was rich and smooth. It had a darker flavor and roast profile than I normally I drink, but it was well executed for that style. Based upon all of this, I recommend Drum Roll for people who make coffee at home. While I have my own grinder at home and buy whole beans, they even asked if I wanted the beans ground. 4.5 Stars
