If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone.

I understand her job was to upsell project but she threw the electrician (English was his second language) under the bus and tried to make project bigger than he explained it needed to be. Quote was immense considering all it took was a $35 dollar thermostat to fix the problem. Had a contractor friend come and look and fixed it in half an hour.

He was in awe of their work. Everything was done to perfection. We had over 6 bids for bathrooms ( total redo) and their prices were amazing for the work they did! They listened to our concerns, came up with a plan. We could not be happier! Besides bathrooms, we were going to have them do our flooring- carpet to LV. Third floor condo - we ordered all, they bought everything up three flights of steps ( 950 square feet) - after carpet was up they noted flooring was off, and LV was not an option unless floor floated. We opted for carpet. They hauled all of the LV back down three flights. Zero complaints. Happy to do whatever was in our best interest! When we thanked them for their great work throughout, their response was always " we thank you. We are grateful for the work!" We have been researching a backyard remodel at our home for over 2 years. Buddha Builders had just completed a few projects in my neighborhood this past year, and the outcome was beautiful. So, we called Colby the owner and he stopped by for a quote, and ideas. The great thing about Colby is he had some really great ideas to add to our ideas and together we put together a beautiful plan. Colby's team started work within a few days after planning. Things came together fairly quick, and in the end, there was one sub-contractor that made a mistake during the install. Without hesitation Colby brought in a different crew and quickly had things fixed and moving again. During the whole process we were either in contact with Colby, or his newly hired (at the time) co-worker Marcus, who is also awesome and easy to get a hold of. There are two other guys on Colby's awesome team that stand out, they are Chuy who is a master at wood work (installed and custom cut Ipe wood decking in photo) and Freddie who does seal coating and pressure washing. We went from a small concrete slab, to a lit, raised stone deck, and a separate hillside firepit area on what was previously an unusable hillside covered in ivy. Buddha Builders also removed our small front step and gave us a huge, stepped porch with accent lighting and enough room for furniture and space to relax and look out at and enjoy our neighborhood. We met with several contractors, and the first time Colby came to our house we knew he understood what we wanted to make the most of our house's exterior spaces. Within just a few meetings, we had a very satisfactory budget and schedule finalized. Once work began, it was a (good) whirlwind. The crew showed up, not too early, everyday (including Saturdays), and worked until evening, getting the project done by the promised date - in our case, the 4th of July, and we were able to use it that weekend! They were professional, kept disruption to a minimum (jackhammers and plate compactors aside, haha), and worked with us to accommodate those times I need quiet (I work full-time from home.) Our project manager was consistently communicative, and when we had questions - or ideas for slight changes to the original plan - he either had immediate answers, or let us know he would do his homework and get back to us ASAP rather than try to just give us a quick answer or tell us what we wanted to hear. Despite a few change orders (which we initiated with a few add-ons/tweaks), when it came to pay the final invoice, we only needed a single conversation to confirm we were on the same page. We wrote the check, and that was that. An unusually easy settling-up in my experience with large projects. The result was even more beautiful than we had envisioned, and nearly a year later we are still raving about the project - and the contractor! After having furnished everything and spending a few months with it last summer, we cannot wait to get an entire Spring/Summer out there!
