Timberline Patio Covers - Woodinville, WA custom waterproof pergola with UCS panels, gutter system, lighting, and heater built for year-round comfort and clean design

    Timberline Patio Covers

We couldn't be more thrilled with the results!…read more The first contractor we contacted actually referred us to Timberline due to the size and complexity of the job. I had some rough drawings I had made using free 3D drawing software (look at the photos to compare the concept drawings to the final result). I showed them my ideas in December, we discussed materials, components, and pricing throughout January, and signed a contract in late January. They prepared architectural drawings in February and the engineering in March. By April we were in Permitting with the city and broke ground in late May. They knew we were planning a big party for Mid August so they worked feverishly to get it all done in time. Tony was our project manager and was great with communication. Lucas was our construction lead and Matt his assistant, and they both were great to have on the job, and they kept us updated daily with what they were working on and what was coming next. I was also impressed with their choice of contractors for the gas, electric, masonry, and painting, all did high quality work and were very professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and our neighbors. Throughout the project Tony (Project Manager) had great ideas on how we could improve things, and they were always very responsive to our wishes, working very hard to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. For as much of an ordeal as it can be to have people working at your house for four months, they made it as painless and as stress free as possible. There we no major issues or concerns, and even the minor stuff was typically cleared up in one email or phone call. I can't imagine having a better experience. And the final result is absolutely amazing! We are on the patio every day and throughout the weekends, watching football, cooking, and enjoying hosting friends and family. It's made such a huge impact on our quality of life. I only wish we had done this sooner. The scope of the work was a 16x30 covered patio, plus pavers along the front and side, and a separate paver and fire pit area. The patio has 4 skylights, a ceiling fan, 12 recessed can lights, four 4Kw heaters, a 36-inch gas fireplace, 36-inch Hestan grill and dual side burners, Bose speakers, and a 70-inch Skyvue outdoor TV. The counter tops are granite, and the kitchen, built-in seating, and fireplace are covered in natural stone. The seating is topped with natural blue stone and has built-in storage areas underneath. The flooring is Mbrico porcelain tile and it is amazing! We've already had things like grease and even a bit of paint spill on to it, but everything just wipes up effortlessly with a little shot of Formula 409 and a paper towel. It's expensive, but if you want zero maintenance flooring that will last a lifetime, this is the stuff to get. I can't speak highly enough of Timberline patio covers and their entire team. If you are looking for top quality work, you won't be disappointed.

Mark was super easy to communicate with…read moreand very open to negotiation and discussion to make sure the project was going to contain every element I wanted and that the pricing was within my budget. Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. They're responsive, quick, easy to communicate with, the work looks beautiful and done right, and the value for the price is terrific.

I thought the estimate was fair and appropriate for the cost of the materials, the demo, and the labor. A lot of the other contractors were giving me ridiculously low bids, which I knew were shady and they hadn't measured the area. They came within a few days in same day. I had a new, completely rebuilt dock, which is fabulous. They kept the area clean while they were working, and I barely knew they were there, totally respectful. I am so happy to have my dock back so that I can play on the lake.

If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone.

In the morning someone called and said that installers are on the way and that they don't have screens and person will check what happened and let us know. No one called us after. So that isn't installers fault. The day after they called us and said that we have last payment left, we said okay, that isn't a problem but where are our screens. The person was surprised and said you didn't received them. We said no, we miss all of them and when we get them we will pay. We just wanted to protect ourselves as a customer, because the job wasn't done. The person said okay. No one called us, no updates, nothing. And then we got letter from Dawn and Rod. The letter is so inappropriate, especially when job isn't done. Also it is threatening... Just to know first someone pays you 90% of the project, do you really think that 10% is something. This isn't about money, it is our protection as a customer to be sure that you will finish your job. Also if you have called us and explained everything we would pay. Also when you have an appointment you should double check if you have everything for the project... If you're missing something, then you should let know the customer before installers were on the way and let us know when we will have a missing part! It is all about communication and kindness! Also just to add in the letter you wrote one balance and in the contract we have another. So I think that we can take further action for unfinished job and 2 different amounts.

Updated 11/7/2024 I had high hopes when I signed a contract…read morewith Champion Windows in February 2024 for a custom enclosure on my second-story deck, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and unprofessional--even reaching the executive level. Key Issues & Timeline: February 8, 2024: Signed the contract. The sales process was smooth, and I felt confident in Champion's promises. February 17, 2024: During his first visit to my home to verify measurements, the project manager shocked me by exposing himself and urinating on the side of my house. This disturbing, unprofessional behavior was not only unacceptable but set a deeply negative tone for the entire project, and I have yet to receive a formal written apology from Champion for this incident. May-June 2024: Despite my repeated follow-ups, there was no clear communication on project progress. Conversations were vague and provided no real updates. August 1, 2024: After months of delays, the permit application was finally submitted to Thurston County--much later than expected due to miscommunication and errors within Champion's team. September 26, 2024: Thurston County informed us of additional Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) requirements, but Champion failed to inform me. I had to reach out myself to get clarification on these requirements. October 14, 2024: After raising repeated complaints, Champion offered to replace a door and window on my property as compensation. While I appreciated the gesture, it did not address the fundamental issues of mismanagement, lack of professionalism, and extreme delays. I requested a discount to reflect the extensive time and effort I had invested to manage Champion's responsibilities, but this was denied. October 31 & November 4, 2024: I reached out to Tim Young, a VP at Champion, in the hopes of escalating the matter to get better accountability and communication. Unfortunately, his lack of follow-up and response has only further demonstrated the unprofessionalism I've encountered at every level within Champion. Overall Experience & Impact Over the past 9+ months, I've invested more than 80 hours in emails, phone calls, and direct coordination with county officials to manage a project Champion was contracted to handle. This experience has caused over $10,000 in additional costs and lost time. Champion's inability to manage or communicate about the project has left me without a clear timeline for completion and feeling constantly neglected. Conclusion Champion Windows has failed to meet even the most basic standards of professionalism and customer service. From the project manager's shocking behavior of exposing himself and urinating on my property to poor communication, endless delays, and unresponsiveness from upper management, this experience has been exhausting and costly. I regret choosing Champion Windows and strongly advise others to consider the numerous poor reviews across platforms like PissedConsumer, Yelp, Trustpilot, and ConsumerAffairs before making a decision.
