GAB Construction - Installed 12 can lights on this new beautiful deck cover.

GAB Construction

GAB is great! They were the middle quote I received of 4. Mark was super easy to communicate with…read moreand very open to negotiation and discussion to make sure the project was going to contain every element I wanted and that the pricing was within my budget. Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. They're responsive, quick, easy to communicate with, the work looks beautiful and done right, and the value for the price is terrific.

I thought the estimate was fair and appropriate for the cost of the materials, the demo, and the labor. A lot of the other contractors were giving me ridiculously low bids, which I knew were shady and they hadn't measured the area. They came within a few days in same day. I had a new, completely rebuilt dock, which is fabulous. They kept the area clean while they were working, and I barely knew they were there, totally respectful. I am so happy to have my dock back so that I can play on the lake.

We couldn't be more thrilled with the results!…read more The first contractor we contacted actually referred us to Timberline due to the size and complexity of the job. I had some rough drawings I had made using free 3D drawing software (look at the photos to compare the concept drawings to the final result). I showed them my ideas in December, we discussed materials, components, and pricing throughout January, and signed a contract in late January. They prepared architectural drawings in February and the engineering in March. By April we were in Permitting with the city and broke ground in late May. They knew we were planning a big party for Mid August so they worked feverishly to get it all done in time. Tony was our project manager and was great with communication. Lucas was our construction lead and Matt his assistant, and they both were great to have on the job, and they kept us updated daily with what they were working on and what was coming next. I was also impressed with their choice of contractors for the gas, electric, masonry, and painting, all did high quality work and were very professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and our neighbors. Throughout the project Tony (Project Manager) had great ideas on how we could improve things, and they were always very responsive to our wishes, working very hard to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. For as much of an ordeal as it can be to have people working at your house for four months, they made it as painless and as stress free as possible. There we no major issues or concerns, and even the minor stuff was typically cleared up in one email or phone call. I can't imagine having a better experience. And the final result is absolutely amazing! We are on the patio every day and throughout the weekends, watching football, cooking, and enjoying hosting friends and family. It's made such a huge impact on our quality of life. I only wish we had done this sooner. The scope of the work was a 16x30 covered patio, plus pavers along the front and side, and a separate paver and fire pit area. The patio has 4 skylights, a ceiling fan, 12 recessed can lights, four 4Kw heaters, a 36-inch gas fireplace, 36-inch Hestan grill and dual side burners, Bose speakers, and a 70-inch Skyvue outdoor TV. The counter tops are granite, and the kitchen, built-in seating, and fireplace are covered in natural stone. The seating is topped with natural blue stone and has built-in storage areas underneath. The flooring is Mbrico porcelain tile and it is amazing! We've already had things like grease and even a bit of paint spill on to it, but everything just wipes up effortlessly with a little shot of Formula 409 and a paper towel. It's expensive, but if you want zero maintenance flooring that will last a lifetime, this is the stuff to get. I can't speak highly enough of Timberline patio covers and their entire team. If you are looking for top quality work, you won't be disappointed.

If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone.

Olympus Concrete - Only 1 flat tractor tire, so far!

Olympus Concrete

Olympus Concrete LLC is a disreputable, scam company! The owner, Samuel Valdez is an unscrupulous…read morecontractor! I hired Olympus to pour a pad for a sauna and shower. Samuel made the decision to prep, form and pour my project on the same day when the forecast called for heavy rain and extremely limited daylight. The concrete delivery was late and as soon as the truck showed up, the heavy rain started as his crew frantically tried to pour, cover, remove the forms and do the finish work while it was getting dark by one spotlight. Samuel made an amateur, inexperienced and uninformed decision to do this project the same day. The pictures speak for themselves, look closely at the amateur/substandard finish work, I could have done better myself. I also paid for concrete tinting that obviously wasn't added to the concrete. And all this after I spent over three hours and using my tractor to help with grading, moving the dirt on my property and helping get the pad covered from the rain. I spent ($6400 for concrete, tint that wasn't included and the labor) and the first thing people notice when they come over is the garbage concrete job. I'm still waiting for my receipt for the job. When I contacted Samuel and told him how dissatisfied I was with the job, he told me that he would come up and see what he could do. After setting up two times that he no showed me, it became obvious that he was just going to blow me off and not stand behind his work. I've owned 4 houses for over 30 years and I've come across some shoddy and disreputable contractors through the years, but Olympus takes the cake! DO NOT hire this company or you'll be sorry!!!!!!! 9-2-26 update = Olympus has not replied to my certified mail demand letter, Washington Labor & Industries, Better Business Bureau, Dept of Revenue or the Attorney General's Office complaints. Besides the amateur, non-professional finish job Olympus did, the concrete is now cracking and the drainage is going to the middle of the slab where my new sauna is sitting in water even though I put a roof up to protect the building. I've already had to have a contractor come in to cut additional drainage channels, but the water is still pooling under the building. Total nightmare, don't fall for the slick, scammer pitch, website and fake reviews. I've had two contractors come over and look at the job and both have stated there's no way to fix the issues, I'm stuck! The only way to collect on his bond at this point is to get a lawyer and file a civil suit in Superior Court and work with Washington Labor and Industries to make a claim on his bond. Save yourself the nightmare I'm going through, listen to my experience and run as fast as you can to find a reputable concrete professional.

I found them on Craigslist under event tents. They bring in a few hundred containers a year. They are a specialized importer and much of their business is wholesale. You can buy retail at an amazing price. I'm a big fan of buying through wholesale and professional suppliers - go direct for the best! Their website shows their specialties. Now that is saunas, metal fences and gates, and event tents. They also have short cycle products - they were at the end of selling inflatable rubber rafts. They were clearing them out after removing them from their website. They often have a selection of random items like parquet panels, stuffed toys, and plastic fruit at the import price. You can track their sales and special items on their website. They have the famous metal frame poly-vinyl carport cheaper than Costco. I verified by voice phone they had stock, visited, paid, and left with the item. They did a stellar job on post purchase support. They have a telephone and Internet inside sales group. They will load the items in your vehicle. Just waiting at the counter you can see and hear how fast the call center works and observe their customer focus. I would recommend Aleko for the products they have that you need.
