Olympus Concrete LLC is a disreputable, scam company! The owner, Samuel Valdez is an unscrupulous contractor! I hired Olympus to pour a pad for a sauna and shower. Samuel made the decision to prep, form and pour my project on the same day when the forecast called for heavy rain and extremely limited daylight. The concrete delivery was late and as soon as the truck showed up, the heavy rain started as his crew frantically tried to pour, cover, remove the forms and do the finish work while it was getting dark by one spotlight. Samuel made an amateur, inexperienced and uninformed decision to do this project the same day. The pictures speak for themselves, look closely at the amateur/substandard finish work, I could have done better myself. I also paid for concrete tinting that obviously wasn't added to the concrete. And all this after I spent over three hours and using my tractor to help with grading, moving the dirt on my property and helping get the pad covered from the rain.
I spent ($6400 for concrete, tint that wasn't included and the labor) and the first thing people notice when they come over is the garbage concrete job. I'm still waiting for my receipt for the job.
When I contacted Samuel and told him how dissatisfied I was with the job, he told me that he would come up and see what he could do. After setting up two times that he no showed me, it became obvious that he was just going to blow me off and not stand behind his work.
I've owned 4 houses for over 30 years and I've come across some shoddy and disreputable contractors through the years, but Olympus takes the cake! DO NOT hire this company or you'll be sorry!!!!!!!
9-2-26 update = Olympus has not replied to my certified mail demand letter, Washington Labor & Industries, Better Business Bureau, Dept of Revenue or the Attorney General's Office complaints.
Besides the amateur, non-professional finish job Olympus did, the concrete is now cracking and the drainage is going to the middle of the slab where my new sauna is sitting in water even though I put a roof up to protect the building. I've already had to have a contractor come in to cut additional drainage channels, but the water is still pooling under the building. Total nightmare, don't fall for the slick, scammer pitch, website and fake reviews.
I've had two contractors come over and look at the job and both have stated there's no way to fix the issues, I'm stuck!
The only way to collect on his bond at this point is to get a lawyer and file a civil suit in Superior Court and work with Washington Labor and Industries to make a claim on his bond.
Save yourself the nightmare I'm going through, listen to my experience and run as fast as you can to find a reputable concrete professional. read more
