They had our boat for 1-1/2 months with absolutely zero communication from them and then lied about fixing our warranty issues. At this point I'm not even sure they completed the 20hr. Service that we paid for. Our warranty issues weren't minor, we lost all steering on our 24' pontoon boat out in the middle of the lake due to their original install being improper. Then had the audacity to lie and say they fixed it knowing full well they didn't and putting our family in danger once we launched in the water. I would never recommend anyone to do business with Auburn Outboard Marine.

I was interesting in looking at an RH but I couldn't get a call back. Instead shops in. Washington were the only RH dealers to call me back. I ended up buying a 2023 boulton. Then fast forward to middle of 2023 and I needed my Honda motors serviced. First they were over a month out due appointments and then said I had to drop it off for at least a week, and they'll get to it when they are free. I called Bucks Outboards and they laughed. I brought it in the following week and had it back same day. Fast forward again to July 13th of 2024. I called about a new prop for my Honda kicker. I provided the size and pitch needed as well as exact motor. I was told they had it, so I took the 25 minute drive there. Once there I found out it was the wrong prop. He then looked up the correct one and said he could order and it would take 3-4 days unless in backorder. However he "going to lunch" so he wanted my info and would order it later that day. I asked for a call when it was ordered and he (the owner I'm assuming) said ok. Well it's now July 22nd and I never got a call back. So once again, I called bucks outboards to order the prop. I've heard a few other horror stories from people trying to get service done as well. It's sad, small businesses like this need our support but they just don't want it. Bob is simply out of the loop it appears. I've given this place almost a half dozen chances plus almost 60plus k in cash for a boat. I feel this is an ample amount of opportunities to determine this place had bad service all around. If you need anything serviced on a honda, just use bucks. If you need something installed local, use bucks, Boat MD or better yet take it to Doug Philpott

I felt this way about Mello so I wanted to share my experience in this review and hope others give them a chance and come away feeling the same way I did. I stumbled upon this place during my search for a used wake surf boat. They were listing a used Calabria boat that I went to go check out. We were greeted by the owner Sally and we got to talking about wake surf boats in general. She spent about 30-45 min with us talking about her history, wake surf boats and telling us about the Centurion boats that she sells. Since I had never owned a wake surf boat before she gave us some really good info and insight into what makes a good surf boat and why Centurion was one of the top manufacturers. We left knowing we had to do more research which I did. Fast forward a year later, I ended up getting a used centurion wake surf boat. My point is I would have never thought about a Centurion boat until speaking with Sally, and we really appreciated her time and knowledge on the subject. We certainly don't have new boat money but we never felt dismissed or judged or made to feel less important because we weren't there looking at new boats. We also never felt like Sally was pushing us to Centurion or a specific direction. She was certainly highlighting why she felt the Centurion boats were the best, but I did my own research and eventually came to the same conclusion. I felt like the Centurion boats were high quality builds and they were the ones that started the whole wake surf boat build. I just recently dropped off my boat to Mello Marine to have them service it and add some features to it. It's not the closest shop (2 hrs away) but it's the one I felt most comfortable with and trusted. I first spoke with Luke who was great and helpful on the phone and I have since been dealing with Ricky. Everyone I have encountered at Mello Marine has been great, helpful, courteous, and professional. I have been genuinely impressed and pleased in all my interactions with this family run operation. So far, I have had great experiences with this shop and I have no doubt it will continue. I like to say Sally brought us back to Mello. Ricky made sure we're staying with Mello. I asked for an annual service which involves replacing impeller and changing the oil and transmission fluid. This cost over $1,000 which I think is high, but maybe could live with. However, I asked them to add fuel stabilizer and check the batteries as well. They charged $105 labor to pour a $15 pint of fuel stabilizer in the tank and another $105 to check the load on the batteries (5 minute job). I really don't trust these guys any more and won't be going there ever again.
