In our searching, Sierra Trailer kept coming up in our searches as they had rebuilt a '65 Caravel, and they were only an hour drive from our home, so I contacted Vicki and she agreed to take a look at it. What they were able to do was magic, they were able to strip off the old bondo and smooth out all the dents and wrinkles to almost a new condition, which I never thought possible. They warned me that the process of restoring an airstream is expensive and Vicki was great in keeping me updated on all the costs. Her bookkeeping was meticulous and easy to understand. I really appreciate her and the incredible craftsmen that she employs, all the advise that she gave me and their combined knowledge base of Airstreams. I am pretty handy at doing projects like this, but at times you just have to get a professional involved, and I strongly recommend Sierra Trailer Restoration for your RV project. He asked for details, then was able to suggest some possible actions for me to further diagnose and possibly fix the problem. He spent almost a half hour on the phone giving advice. Long story short, I was able to fix the problem myself and save hundreds of dollars. After I left a message that I had fixed the issue, he called me back to verify the steps I took. Incredible service. If I had not been able to fix it myself, Mike was ready to assist with a number of options, including coming to my home, or me bringing either the fridge or the entire travel trailer, to him. Certainly for refrigerator problems, he knows his stuff! And, since the fridge is the most complicated thing in my travel trailer, I would trust him for any other repairs. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment but in the meantime implemented his primary suggestion. The problem was completely solved as a result. Thus, I no longer needed the appointment (which I then cancelled in a timely fashion). Mike obviously has a great deal of honesty and integrity to willingly tell me a likely solution over the phone, meaning that he would not get paid for that particular encounter. HOWEVER, because of his honesty and integrity, he has won me definitely as a future customer!! I also previously received a recommendation for him indicating that he was highly skilled and knowledgeable about his work. I would agree with his statement that he provides "Exceedingly better service" than most you will ever encounter.
