I visited their site on 4521 Kings Water Dr, a site they use for used cars. We made an appointment to see a car at 10am and specifically asked if we could bring a large dog to make sure he fit in the car, the large dog being the primary reason we wanted a bigger car. The salesperson was unsure but confirmed with their manager that it would be ok. We also went through the trouble of confirming this with another manager that was on site just to be sure. We arrived at the site 5-10 mins before our appointment and went through the standard introductions and license verification and were then informed that the car wasn't there, they didn't know where it was.We has made the appointment only the day before and confirmed it that morning. At 10:15 they had found the car, it was out on a test drive with another couple and they didn't know when it would be back. We stood in the lobby and waited, took the dog out for a quick potty break, returned to the lobby and waited some more. At 10:45 the car had returned and they took us out to see it but informed us that the couple that had just test driven might buy it before we could do anything. We asked if we could at least put the dog in it to make sure he fit as this was the primary reason we had come to see it. The salesman emphatically answered no, they don't allow animals in any of their cars. Our jaws dropped and we told the salesman about the 3 other individuals, 2 of them managers, that had confirmed to us just that morning that it would be ok, to which he said he'd have to confirm on his own... 10 mins later he returned and said that it would be ok but that they had just sold the car to the other couple. We would not be allowed to put our dog in the car, we would not be allowed to test drive it, and he showed us the door. There was no offer to see another car, a similar car, or even an apology for wasting our time. In short order the salesman was on his phone with probably the next customer with no regard for us. The lack of communication at this site is startling, their time management is extremely poor, and their regard for customers as people is non-existent. Brick and mortar stores are supposed to survive in this digital age due to their humanity and customer support but I guess this store doesn't think that's important. Take my advice, use something like Carvana, Vroom, or Carmax. They'll deliver the car right to you so you don't have to wait for an hour after your appointment, they won't let the walk-in before you take the car you had come all the way in to see, they'll let you do whatever you want to make sure it's the car for you, and they have a great return policy. My family and I have been loyal Honda customers for 10+ years and have been coming to performance kings Honda for about 8 years and they do a really great job. I always come to this dealership to take care of anything from an oil change to needing new tires. Their prices are fair especially for Honda and are really good about honoring discounts and trying to provide you with a price that will best suit your needs. Customer service is good and seems to be a focus of the dealership. Wait times can be lengthy on some services so make sure to have someone let you know how long it could potentially be. They are far from where I live, but I make the trek out there because I trust them that much! Make sure to call at least a week or so before you'd like to get an appointment because they've been fairly busy. Waiting room is great and equipped with complimentary WiFi, tea, coffee and if you go early sometimes they have donuts--a very nice added bonus. The seats are comfortable and they have tables available if you need to get work done while you wait for your car. Prior to me coming with him the salesman was trying to tack on an extra $10k to the already asking price of $36k. I told my son that $10k for a warranty was a rip off! I told him to shop around for an aftermarket warranty elsewhere. Well after having the truck for a bit over 3 weeks, he's sitting at a stoplight and the truck starts sputtering. Truck had lost power and would barely move. I advised my son to pull over and have truck towed to a Dodge dealership. Dealership basically says its going to need a new engine. I called Performance King Honda and spoke with David Valines. Mr. Valines told me that since my son didn't purchase a warranty there was nothing they could do because the car was sold "as is". How could you sell a car for $40k (with tax) that has no type of warranty at all?! I have purchased a lot of vehicles over the past few years and I have NEVER seen a franchise dealership sell a car without at least a 3 month-3k mile warranty. This dealership sells their cars "as is" to force the buyer into purchasing their overly inflated warranties! They double, if not triple the price of these warranties to fatten their pockets. The salesman along with the dealership gets a nice chunk of it. At this point I am livid because my son works very hard and this was a gift to himself for all the sacrifices & hard work he done for his kids. My next steps are to contact the media and anyone else whom will listen about this dealership! Service Nightmare - been trying for 3 weeks to get a screen dimming issue fixed on a 2017 CRV. This is a known problem with a known solution, yet the Service Manager, Ash Mall, is unwilling to read or follow the protocol of Honda's own Service News Article regarding this problem. Three trips to the dealership and two loaner cars later, we are still where we started. I finally have gotten Honda national involved. Kings GM, Andy French, was no help since the car was not purchased there and warranty work isn't a money maker for them. It is extremely frustrating to be dismissed and disregarded. I recently had a racist incident while purchasing a new car from the Performance Kings Honda dealership. I was financing the car so I filled out all the paperwork for a loan application. Their Finance Director, asked for proof of social security and visa. I am an American-born Asian woman from NY. This white woman had assumed I was a foreigner and was asking for further proof of my identity, even after I had already provided my SSN. I obviously didn't have a copy of my social security card because...who carries that at all times and...I didn't think that I needed it to buy a car. But she kept asking for it, saying that Honda needed it because I was a first time buyer. I highly doubt she would have asked a white customer for proof. I've since reached out to Honda Financial Services and the dealership over social media and have confirmed that I do NOT need to provide proof of social security, even if I am a first time buyer. I already reported the incident to the General Manager over email and never heard anything back. Such a disappointing experience. What happened is incredibly racist and unacceptable. My Pilot was making some noise and the dealer said that it's dying and we should pick up a new one that day - they even brought one out to test drive. We took the Pilot to CarX and they fixed it within a few hundred dollars and that was 3 years ago. This Honda service department has also given us the runaround with our navigation system, never gave the pin and then tried to charge me to recover my own information! My Accord was not starting without getting a "jump", so I took it to Kings Honda. They suggested a diagnostic test, then told me I needed a new battery and alternator ($1200). The price for the alternator seemed high, so I called Firestone who could replace for $400. I went to Firestone, they ran a diagnostic test and told me I only needed a new battery. So, not only was Kings honda way overpriced, they were telling me I needed an expensive repair. I will not be going back. read more

Terrible service. I've mainly had my car serviced at performance kings Honda but after almost losing a tire on the highway because my lug nuts weren't tightened during an oil change in 2020 and my experience last week I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your servicing needs. Last week I called their service department to inquire about pricing for a battery replacement and was quoted $65 less than AAA's price. So when AAA came to jump my car I turned them down to replace the battery saying it's a lot cheaper at Kings (if only I'd known). I dropped my car off at Kings that evening and waited for a quote the next morning. First I received a text saying a new batter would be $218 without warranty, $175 w/warranty and that my car was due for an oil change which would be $174 ‍. I asked for clarification on this as that's astronomical for an oil change and The battery pricing seemed incorrect he resent the pricing saying the oil change price was wrong and he'd corrected it but the battery prices were right. When I tried to explain the situation that I'd called the previous day and been given a different price he responded "I am not trying to argue. I dont know who you got your information from but the correct info is If you want to use your warranty it is $160.37 before tax" and "Let me know what you want to do or you can AAA install a battery.".... ‍ maybe he was having a rough day but explaining that you're confused because you'd received a completely different price isn't arguing it's trying to clarify a situation that's happening. At this point I was so surprised with this response I said that I'd have AAA do it. Unfortunately when I called AAA they told me that I'd have to be at my car for them to do this (where I'd have to figure out how to get there) or they could tow it back to me for a fee then send a separate service to replace the battery for a fee. As much as I was frustrated with Kings it just didn't make sense to pay these additional charges. I called kings service department hoping to speak with someone more calm/rational. They were friendly and said they'd speak with my service agent and the service manager and have the manager call me back...3 hours later I hadn't heard anything so I called and they put me through to the Service Manager, I left a voicemail and still didn't receive a call. At that point I called AAA to send someone out, got a ride to kings and had AAA replace it in the performance kings parking lot. I took my car to the dealership in the first place to save money only to have them bait and switch pricing, not honor the price given or even attempt to make it right, find transportation there and wait for service missing hours of work. After all the extra hassle kings caused I regret not just having AAA replace it in the comfort of my apartment complex and I still almost a week later have received no response from Kings. I was completely satisfied with the purchase of my 2017 Honda Pilot, except for the warranty that I was pressured into buying. The company was Protective and I paid $2500 for it. No one would except this "3rd party" insurance, including the East Honda where I took my vehicle for a major brake/calliber job which cost me $1000 out of pocket when the car only had 35000 miles on it. I have been attempting to get this policy cancelled since June, I have faxed the paper work, mailed the paper work and went to Performance and talked with John O the finance manager, who faxed the paperwork for cancellation 8/2. Every time I call Protective they say they have not received anything. Tried to purchase an 2015 white BMW from them. The girl said she had only worked there a few months allowed us to test drive the car and we found a few issues. We offered to purchase the car and made a very responsible offer. Then the used car manager came over and abruptly said he had just got the car and refused the offer. He even added $1200.00 seal coat and a $500.00 red blinking light to the deal. What a joke! We reiterated our offer and again was rebuffed. At that time we left ( how does two people with 800 beacons and finance leave a dealership? ) couple days later we find the car on the internet well discounted, very close to the numbers we were willing to pay, no seal coat or stupid $50. Amazon red light that we were told was required by law now. This is the new location of what used to be the Honda dealership in Montgomery. I took my Honda here for a regular oil change at 7:30 on a weekday. I immediately noticed that the service entrance is much larger (3 bays, about 3-4 cars deep), but there was still a huge line from people dropping off their vehicles (Attack of the Odysseys!) for service for the day. I had a wait a little bit before I was greeted by a service representative. It wasn't that long of a wait, just something I hadn't run into at a Honda dealer yet. Once I took a seat in the waiting area (coffee, water, soda) and picked out a few magazines (Us Weekly, need I say more?) it wasn't that long before my vehicle was ready. Maybe about 20-30 mins. Here is the best part... the oil change was $21.69! Really? That seemed way less than it used to be. Plus, I really like their "Status Reports" that use a color-coded system to show my vehicle's condition/need for replacements. Check out was easy and fast. The only thing that seemed off was that I wasn't offered a complimentary car wash like at the older location. I could've asked, but I was in a hurry. Maybe next time I will remember to get that. read more

Terrible from beginning to end. Wasted my time in the biggest way possible. Agree with Caleb K last paragraph of his review. Told me car would be ready for me to look at when appt was made at 1:30 pm to come in 2.5 hours later at 4 pm. Was sized up immediately - only asked if I had trade in and if I owed money on it - did not even ask if I was in a position to pay off what little was owed- like around $1,000. Immediately judged for some reason- I have absolutely stellar credit - BY THAT I MEAN OVER 800- sales man walked me out to car and left me to my devices - to try to check things out. Said I could drive it, but would only drive close by - and should not maybe take on highway? HMMMM maybe because it had not even been serviced and there was some sort of service code on car when you turned it on. Needless to say, I did not drive it anywhere - The car was programmed in Spanish so could not even check out one thing to see if it was even working - weekend manager or assistant or whoever he was came out and spoke with me briefly - I said I would be interested in knowing what they would offer me for a trade in. Car had major ding on front right quarter panel, among other things. Asked if it was certified and was told I would have to pay like $1200 or $1400 to get it certified - big red flags there. This car was well under the explained parameters of being able to be under a 5 year, 50000 mile vehicle to certify it - so you decide why it was not going to be certified at their expense. They never did run numbers to let me know what they would offer for my 2012 Camry XLE with only 60K miles. Just continued to waste more of my time. Said they would fix up car I looked at, and I could come back to look at it once in better condition? Really ? After I was told before I even came up on Sunday that car would be ready for me to look at, and it was the biggest joke ever? To top it ALL off, they knew I was interested in a Certified car, and there was one in stock at their dealership that they NEVER even offered - or to show me any other car at all for that matter. This other car had almost exact same miles, it was same year, and same cost. Yet, they sure liked to continue to hound me and keep trying to push that crappy car that even they would not certify, on me all week long. I had politely emailed the sales rep stating I would be interested in seeing a comparable certified car if they had one (they did) and my request was ignored, only to be still hounded for 3 more days about original crappy car. BEWARE - once they have your information - especially if see a vehicle and give your info online - all bets are off and they will contact you relentlessly trying to dump off that vehicle on you. WE are talking by phone, voicemail, texting, email - you name it - RIDICULOUSLY unprofessional. I mean by MULTIPLE employees, sales rep, person who fields online leads, sales managers and so on. I have been in sales my whole life - and this was the most laughable experience I have ever had. I even sold cars myself briefly 25 years ago at a Nissan Dealership. When left, young sales rep came up to me that had gotten assigned to me, told me he had not run trade in numbers, gave me his card, and proceeded to go to a desk and got on phone leaving me there standing rather dumbfounded. No respect for you, or your time - that is for sure - VERY Unprofessional dealership. If they think I would EVER consider in this lifetime or any other - purchasing a car from their desperate dealership after I was treated so rudely they must be sniffing exhaust fumes from their cars in between customers. By desperate, I mean that who would not assume that from the countless attempts at contacting a customer that expressed mild interest, and treat them like garbage while at the dealership, only to hound them for days after the crappy treatment at the dealership? I mean what kind of schizophrenic world do you people live in? OH, I guess a world where you treat customers as if they have a big "sucker" stamped across their forehead. HONDA CORPORATE needs to know how this dealership is treating customers and how unprofessional they truly are. I have owned 3 Hondas previously, just went to Toyota 4 years ago, WANTED to come back to Honda - but CANNOT believe this dealership is representing Honda vehicles. My daughter purchase a used vehicle from the Performance Kings Auto. The requested repairs were completed but didn't last one week. There was hot anti freeze all over the engine. After the repair they told my little girl that one of the spark plugs was not firing properly and they made her pay for the diagnostic cost and the repair which clearly was the result of hot fluids over the entire engine. This was a cost of over 400.00 dollars. This is clearly another example of car dealers taking advantage of a customer and not admitting fault. Very disappointed. I drove an hour and a half to look for a car and wanted a 2018 honda accord lx white they had for sale for 20,573 and they showed me the car it was nice and wanted to purchase I filled out the credit app and was getting paper work and then they decided to tell me it was the wrong car so I walked out and it's a 2018 honda accord lx just like the other one only it was hit from the side and the front bumper was tore off it and they told me the one I looked at is going to cost me another 1400$ and I said but that wasn't the one we were shown and they didn't care to help me they had me sit there from 9 until 3 in the afternoon just to tell me it's going to cost me 1400$ more for the car also lieing to me about my trade on my car trying to cheat an additional 1,000$ I went home empty handed and wasted my entire day on this dealership they are the absolute worst honda dealership I have ever dealt with. I go there every time when I need an oil change or something else. The people, who work there are very kind and friendly. One of the guys - Kirk, even remembered me from the last time. The atmosphere is also very nice and you can enjoy tea, coffee, cappuccino... ,. reading magazines or watch TV in the waiting area while your car is ready. The oil change cost me $35.00 and totally worth it. They provided 150 days of renewable Drive-Sure® Sign and Drive Roadside Assistance and Emergency Rental Car Coverage. **update** called the general manager twice as requested from my original post and left 1 voicemail. Never got back to me ... Before thanksgiving i took my car into Honda to be checked out for a noise. I was working work someone new and he was not a tech. He was just at the desk that checked you in. Anyway so E got in my car and listened and said yeah nothing major to me sounds like maybe something loose that needs tightened. I offered to leave my vehicle and have the shuttle take me over to work which is in mason and I'd come back in 5/6 hours and pick it up. I was told they were too busy and i could come back in about 2 weeks which was going to be the Monday after thanksgiving. I let E know that i was going to be traveling alone and my car never made this rattling noise so I'd really feel more comfortable if they would check it out sooner. He let me know I'd be paying $120 to diagnose it and if it comes back nothing I'd lose my money. Which i think is complete BS. Anyway so i left. I had to get back to work and was annoyed anyway by this point. I told my aunt the situation who couldn't believe after i called and asked before i went and offered to drop it off that i was turned away. She called and told the girl who answered what happened and said that i do not want to work with E so they said to ask for Laura and that is who would be calling me if we do the overnight drop off. So we dropped off the car overnight and first thing in the morning around 730am the same person calls!! It's E!!!!!!!! He goes on to ask what is wrong with my car (after i left details on the form) and it should have been in my profile from the day prior since i was seen and noted were taken supposedly. He obviously didn't pop in my phone number. I was pissed. Not the way to start my work day off. So a few hours later i get a call and E tells me i need a new belt that works with the tensioner and a new tensioner. Go figure ..... i knew something was wrong (dumb female i guess?)... so i said okay how much? $471 and some change. I said okay we'll go ahead and fix it I'd rather be safe than wait. (I would have been out $120 anyway so at that point just fix it). So i then receive another call saying the parts are on back order i can come rent a car for $15 a day. It would be a 1 day rental no worries so i agreed. I then get the rental car and the next day receive another phone call. I then need another part which was another $60 but they were not going to charge me labor. Okay yes! Do that! Makes sense. So $471 + $60 .... $531.... so here is the fun part. The part won't be in until Monday morning so i have the rental car from a Thursday - Monday now. I asked if we can do anything about that since it's not my fault you guys don't have the parts in stock? He said you know I'll take care of the additional days and those will be "comped".... COMPED..... so i go Monday to pick up my car and all of a sudden i was told I'm paying $690..... how? How did that happen when i was quoted $471 then a $65 part and okay add $15 for the one day rental .... $546.... i said okay can you explain? Also i have the service coupon from your website. (Again this is working with E and he seemed fine until i go to pick up the car!) the tone changed and he was getting a little annoyed. He said well this is parts and this is labor and this is $45 for the car. He then made the coupon adjustment. So he takes $45 off the car (which was from the service coupon) took a little off labor (which i wasn't supposed to pay extra anyway) and then i only really had $55 off with the coupon that should have been $75. I ended paying around $550 and nothing was "COMPED". Comped is NOT using my coupon for the rental car and the $75 should have been taken off of $546.... meaning i should have paid $471 and not close to $550!!!!! Of course i go to take the survey and give my feedback and it says my survey has been taken already .... WHAT?!?!? I JUST tried to open it .... then i call and leave a message for Ash Mall... nope. Never a call back NOTHING!!!!!! Finally i text the number offered and they replied and said they noted my concerns. I haven't heard a thing back since last week ..... I've never experienced this kind of crap from Honda and we have about 10 Honda's in the family but o really really don't want to go back. I feel uneasy, and played. Other dealerships i think yes this is expected but Honda? Never ever have i experienced this before and I've had a Honda since early 2000's.... my next car will likely not be a Honda.... oh and they changed their oil change discount from $19.99 to $29.99 without notice and said oh yeah we changed the century discount. We waited 4 hours for our financing to process (with good credit). I did not see a single person clean a surface while we waited with many customers in and out using the same tables.
