I had an extremely positive service experience here recently. After getting an oil change and rotation done on a Lincoln Navigator in our fleet at Larry Miller I was told the front axle seals were leaking. They could not give me a rate for the repair and told me I could leave the vehicle so the techs could come up with an estimate within a day. I called around to Henry Day and Performance and these guys were able to get me a rate that sounded very reasonable and told me they could get the fix done the same day. Henry Day took so long to get back to me that I was already done by the time they called back. Compared to the slugs at Larry Miller these guys were extremely professional and eager to please to a degree that I did not expect possible from a Ford dealer. Their lounge is small but well stocked with soda, an awesome espresso/coffee machine, cookies, and popcorn, just like most other decent dealer service lounges in the SLC area. The drive up from SLC was very short and totally worth it to get a positive service experience. I would definitely recommend giving them a call before you commit to torturing yourself with Larry Miller in SLC or Crandall in Park City. read more

ZERO stars would be a more accurate rating. Saw a pickup they had listed. After some negotiation, we could not quite agree so i went home. Next day I got a call from someone I had not talked to before but he told me he would meet my price and no additional fees except for taxes and doc fees and I should come to a different location to sign the paperwork. Contacted my sales person and they were baffled by this other guys interference but agreed to the new price. Then when i got there, they added a service agreement and said it was mandatory. They told me it included battery replacement and oil changes, etc. And I could go to any Ford dealer. I wasn't happy but I took the deal. 7 days later the battery was completly dead. That's when i realized nothing in the paperwork showed a contract address or phone# for the warranty co. I had to go back to the dealer to get the omitted second page of the contract. When i contacted them about the service contract i was told they only warrant a battery after 90 days, and that the dealer is responsible for checking out the battery before they sell the vehicle. It took me 2 weeks and multiple calls before the dealer finally issued a check for reimbursement. The contract also stated that all covered services could ONLY be performed at the selling dealership. That's when I cancelled the contract. So, if your looking for honesty and integrity this is NOT the place to go to. read more

I have never written this crappy of review. We gave these guys every chance to be honest and they couldn't do it. We were looking at a Ford Flex at their dealership and when we drove it we noticed that it seemed out of balance. They told us that they would balance the tires and we could drive it again. We called back and they said that it was fixed. We drove it on the freeway again and it was obvious that it was not fixed. We had the loan and check all ready, but needed to make sure this was not a problem. My husband took it to Burt Brothers to have it checked out and the tire was bent. We told Ford and they said they would look into it. They called back and said that they had their guys look at it and that it wasn't bent.... My husband was even willing to do it himself if they paid for the parts (which is ridiculous BTW). They wouldn't come down or fix it even though they wouldn't negotiate on price. Not a great experience- and only 1/2 of their salesmen wore masks. read more

I don't normally write many reviews but felt the need to post one after my failed purchase experience yesterday. Net net, I have been looking for a 2003 F-250 XLT truck, the last year model which has the 7.3 Liter Diesel with under 60k miles for a long time and when I discovered one was at Performance Ford on Christmas Eve day, I was elated. However the salesman who handled my inquiry insisted the only way to hold the truck from other inquisitive buyers was to put down a $1000 non-refundable deposit as I reviewed the inspection paperwork and secured financing (four hour window of time, same day). I obviously didn't want to lose my deposit due to lack of financing, so the salesman made the truck available to anyone else to purchase. Low and behold, when I called back to confirm that I had secured financing and was approved to purchase the truck... in less than 90 min someone else came along and started filling out a credit application to purchase the truck. My response: "It doesn't make sense that the truck was available for purchase while I was getting finance approval yet was not available for purchase while someone else applies for financing." Salesman: "I understand what you are saying. I mentioned how important a non-refundable deposit was. Since they were filling out a financing and here in the building, that gave them the first option." Net net, locals are favored to out of state buyers. Double standard around holding a car while people are getting financing. Non-refundable deposit standards which are not commercially reasonable. We were so impressed with Chris K and his excellent customer service. We had called ahead and told Chris we were looking online for cars and saw two that we liked. He had them waiting for us when we arrived and we were hooked. The price on the Subaru we got was excellent and there was not haggling. The finance manger was so easy to work with and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed their office, the snacks and drinks while we waited for extra comfort. The only concern we had was that the car's interior was a little dirty, once we pulled the back seats down to put in our own seat protectors, there were leaves and dirt. Other than that, we were definitely impressed with the overall time with Performance and would highly recommend Chris if you're in the mood for a straight forward car salesmen. read more

Service department is terrible at communicating and slow on delivery. They won't ever set an expectation for your timeline of getting your vehicle back. If you drop your car off they assume you won't need it for a week and if you call @5:55 they will say it is sitting there waiting for you... I need my car for work and it would be nice to know that they have been done for hours or that they have no expectation to get to it same day even if you drop it off at 8:00 am. I dropped it off to have new lugs put on and an oil change at 2:00. come 7;00 after being swamped in the office I realize I don't have a vehicle for the AM and my guess is it was done by 4:00pm. I'm done with these guys. I can't afford their style of business when I need my car for work. read more

Very accommodating!!! I was on my way across country and about 1,200 miles from home when I needed something on my suspension repaired. I was about 60 minutes west of them on I-80 and the folks in the Service Department at Performance Ford and Lincoln in Bountiful made it a point to create an opening for me in their schedule, clear a bay for me by the time I got there so they could get me right in, had a loaner waiting for me so I didn't have to wait in the shop and then worked to take care of what was needed without any unneeded waiting in order to help keep me on-track--they even worked to make sure the repair was covered under my factory warranty. Received the high level of service I've come to expect from Lincoln. I highly recommend them. read more

I had brought my 2007 Ford Explorer in for an oil change when they found a nail in my driver's side front tire. I had them patch the tire and I thought everything would be ok. Cut to the last two days when I started to notice a wobble while driving. I pulled over to look att the tire they patched and found that it was missing two lug nuts and a third was loose. I had not touched the tire since the car had been serviced nor had anyone else. I put my hazards on and limped the rest of the way home slowly and found the wobble to get worse even the small distance I drove after pulling over. I called their service department and was told I would get a call back from the head of the department this morning. Well, it is approaching 4:00 in the afternoon and I still haven't heard from him. It is upsetting to see that not only did their technicians not install my tire properly which could easily lead to a potentially fatal accident, but that their department doesn't care enough to try and fix the problem. Now I cannot drive my vehicle because it is unsafe, leaving me stranded and unable to go back to work tomorrow without paying for a Lyft/Uber. read more

I brought my 2015 f150 here for an estimate to repair moon roof and what I got was my truck returned with damaged and missing parts, some of which I cannot replace, broken parts totaling over $500! Also never received the estimate and they had the truck for 2 days trying to put back together. Dont ever take your vehicle to these hacks they are incredibly stupid! I was in the market for a 2019 F350. Spent about 2 hours with my salesman, Caleb, who was a walking textbook of information and extremely helpful. I was looking for some specific options on an XLT. Unfortunately, they couldn't find one nearby. They did, however, have a Lariat that had was I was looking for. Since the price was about $8k more than I was planning on spending, I asked the sales manager, Devon, who was also very professional, to email me his best no-haggle price so I could sleep on it. As I walked out, I was 99% sold on going back the next day to close up the sale because of the helpful demeanor and positive attitude of both my salesman and the sales manager. That was until I got back to my truck. This guy comes running out the front door and shouts, "hey guy in the green shirt! Come back here!" I turned around and went back to see Joe who identified as the general manager. In a super snotty, condescending manner, he says, "what could you not find what you're looking for today?" I told him about looking for an XLT and all they had was a Lariat and that there wasn't an XLT within 500 miles of what I was looking for. He asked what I was going to do now, to which I replied keep looking. He responded "OK fine" and turned around and walked away without so much as a handshake. As a manager of a regional sales force, I was dumbfounded that after I had spent several hours with his staff, before he ran after me to "save the sale" he couldn't even be bothered to find out my name. Or at least thank me for coming by. I went from being upsold on a $70k truck, to buying one from one of his competitors. I feel bad for a sales staff whose management costs them a commission check. Congratulations, Joe. Your lack of professionalism, disrespectful attitude, and disregard for common courtesy cost you a sale. read more

They have not followed through multiple times, never fixed the issue with my car multiple times, say they've ordered the parts and never did and then don't contact you. I've owned my car for 5 years now, takin it in a dozen times and have never been satisfied with the work and customer service. I will never go back to this dealership! This is an update to my prior review. was not able to add to it I am a first and last time Ford Truck buyer. My husband and I purchased a 2017 Ford F350 from Performance Ford Bountiful in Bountiful Utah on March 1, 2021. 2.5 weeks later when my husband went to use the air conditioning it blew out hot air. We contacted Performance and spoke with Royce who sold us the truck, his response was didn't you check it before you bought it. Well it was at night and cold so when we were told an inspection was performed and everything worked, we trusted that was correct. That was our first mistake. Royce told us to bring the truck in to the service department to be looked at. When they looked into the issue they said it was not covered under the Ford Warranty and that we are responsible for the repairs. We did not feel that was right since we only had the truck for 2.5 weeks. Since Performance didn't seem interested in helping us we took the truck to Ken Garff Ford in West Valley. There service department has been great (Brandon) and has worked with our purchased warranty to get the repairs covered. Performance didn't care until we filed a bad review online for the way we were treated. That is when Chris in their service department called us and said they wanted to take care of us and make it right. Since the truck could not be brought back to them for the repairs (as it had already been all taken apart to be repaired) they no longer wanted to help us. They came up with different excuses as to why they were not responsible and tried to make it our fault. They didn't expect us to take it to another dealer, but why wouldn't we when they had a chance to fix the problem and chose not to. If they were a decent and honest company they would have taken care of our complaint the first time when we had the truck in their service department. They made the choice to not take care of us. This is not the type of company I will ever do business with as they are not trust worthy. I hope this review will help someone else from making the same mistake we did. read more

I have no idea how a Performance dealership can get anything other than one star; OK zero stars if that was an option. I'm sorry, but anyone on here that rates them high paid too much for their vehicle! The sales process you have to go through with these guys is a joke. Actually, it can be quite funny if you have a lot of time on your hands and have a good sense of humor. (So maybe there is a reason for one star after all.) Why do they have to play pricing games? Why the back and forth? Everybody knows it is a game, and most just detest playing it. I have a thorough understanding of the auto business and how they make money. When I walk into a dealership, I know what vehicle I want and how much I am willing to pay. I know they need to make a profit to pay employees and stay in business, and thus I am reasonable. When I tell them what I am willing to pay, that is what I am willing to pay. I don't want to talk about "monthly" payments, or extra this or that. I just want a specific vehicle for my offer price. If my offer isn't acceptable, fine, just tell me and I will look elsewhere. I'm not offended in the least by that. But don't play games with me. The performance dealerships want to play games and want to squeeze every last penny they can get from you. I won't play their game and now, I won't set foot in any of there dealerships. If I could rate this awful dealership zero stars I would. I purchased a truck from them and within the hour realized I had made a mistake. I returned to the dealership to appeal to them to undo the deal. They refused to even hear of it and instead told me that I could pick another car on their lot, none of which I wanted. When I finally did make a choice they sent me home without temporary plates, no registration, and only one set of keys. This is actually illegal for a dealership to do this. When I told a friend of mine who owns his own car dealership what it happened he was shocked to hear that they wouldn't work with me. I appealed to the sales manager, the general manager, and the finance manager. None of them would budge. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody. We came in letting our service tech know we were wanting to maybe trade in our current truck while it was in the shop. so she takes us to him he was incredibly rude to our fabulous tech. I'm writing this almost 5 years after the purchase of our first vehicle. The Sale: It was an internet priced certified pre-owned 2005 Ford Escape. The price was right for our budget and the vehicle matched our needs. As a now grown family, I am saddned that I am stationed on the other side of the country or else I would be making my family's vehicle upgrade purchase at Willey Ford:( Chris Hansen helped my wife and I when we were newlyweds looking for a car that I felt comfortable letting my wife drive it in the winter. As a testiment to Ford's quality (and having this car beat up a bit along the last 5 years) it is still running like a champ. The Service: Being our first vehicle together we wanted to take care of it as best as we could. The service department here was outstanding. Every 5th oil change was free, and Wed. was lady's day (best value ever). I was never ONCE pressured into getting something worked on that I didn't ABSOLUTELY need. Overall - - I see why my parents bought their Edge from this dealer. Excellent customer service, not pushy in any department and they know how to treat you. read more

Look no further! Your personalized cringey car buying experience awaits at Performance Ford in Bountiful! Let me start by saying I had a very friendly, responsive salesman named Royce. He and our actual car are about the only redeemable traits about our total experience. They will absolutely try to get you to "let them setup your financing with the institution of your choice." From the beginning I had been very clear with them about my intentions not to use financing of their choosing. We had already been approved by the bank for the car we wanted. This had gone virtually unheard for the better part of 2 hours or so during the very unpleasant sales pitches on about 20 different "warranties" and finance options given by a "Bro" by the name of Mitch Carter. I sat patiently waiting to move forward with the whole process while they still insisted I allow them to "arrange" financing through my bank and to sell me warranties that I clearly expressed no interest in. This guy would absolutely not take no for an answer. Through the course of his elaborate presentation, in front of his coworker no less, he would use high pressure pushy tactics, and go on to insult my intelligence. "I think you'd be stupid not to get this coverage for your brand new vehicle." After totally not buying anything Mitch was selling, his whole demeanor changed. Suddenly he had no time of day for me, (despite me spending all of mine there even having been approved and knew which car I was buying). He became even more rude, abrasive, and short. Ending the meeting by saying "k when are you bringing me my check?" As awful as this whole ordeal was, I was ready to just move on with my day and drive our new car home, so at the time I just shrugged it off my shoulders and tried to move on. Delivered the check the very next day personally to Mr. Mitch Meathead. Fast forward 2 weeks later: our trade-in still hadn't been paid off by the dealer, so we still had to pay our payment that month for the car we no longer had. This was very frustrating, and yes I do realize the bank pays you back once they receive payment, but that is not the point. After contacting the dealer regarding this, they informed me Mitch went on vacation for two weeks after the day of our sale and hadn't filed the necessary paperwork etc with our bank. I just kept thinking, okay, well they will take care of it. Fast forward one month after purchase date: I received a letter from my bank that they had not received the title for said new car loan. So here we are a month later and Mitch still has not done his job. Infuriated, I contact Performance Ford in Bountiful yet AGAIN and ask to speak to Mitch's manager. Ghashn is very receptive and apologetic for my frustrations, except it is now Friday evening and he cannot do anything until Monday. This pretty much put gasoline on my fire, but hey, i get it. Nice cushy office jobs get nice cushy office hours, what are ya gonna do? Satisfied, I end cordially with the Director of Finance who assured me this will all be resolved Monday morning. Not an hour later, Mitch calls me. At first he's all nice and I new exactly what this was about (saving face for his boss) so I waited for his apology. An apology never came, what did come was a long tragic tale of ridiculous assurances that he had never disrespected or insulted a single client in his 20 year career. So I responded with "until me right?" He then began to assure me that I, and his coworker, had been mistaken about him actually disrespecting me that day and being short and rushing me out the door after I declined his offers. All of which apparently had huge consequences for me, the customer, in that Mitch never even finished his job. I am still dealing with this headache. Mitch's aggressive decision to call me back after I communicated my grievances to his boss and outright deny how I felt as a customer only solidified his unprofessionalism and immaturity. Despite having bad or negative experiences with a customer, you still have to do your job. Regardless of making the sale or not. Ultimately, I bought a car here. I'm sure not all experiences here are that bad, mine was a Stephen King Novel. read more

We will not be going back to Performance Ford Lincoln Bountiful. We have taken our Ford Escape in for oil changes since we bought it and had no problems. This time when we took it in for an oil change we were told that it needed a new battery and was asked if we had to jump start it to get it in because it was reading 12%. We had not had any problems starting the car and declined the offer to change it for $159.00. When the car was done and we were paying for the oil change the gentleman told us that they had left it running because they had to jump start it. I noticed that all of the presets for the radio were okay and the clock was off but by exactly 2 hours. This seemed a little fishy to us with the battery being "so bad". We took the car to Auto Zone and they checked the battery, it checked at 100% we have been driving it for 6 days now and no problems. We will not be taking our car back there nor will buy another car from here. In my opinion this is the lowest that a company can sink. People have a hard enough time getting by without Performance Ford Lincoln Bountiful trying to screw them out of money. read more

The salesman Elliot gets 5 stars, he is an awesome guy that went above and beyond trying to help me with a deal on a car! Spoke to different managers on different days he called me and texted me multiple times, and was on customer side. The low rating is on the mangers side, there is some sketchy stuff going on in this place!! All in all, the sale didn't work out because I was going to be upside down in the car versus the Finance from the bank. This sale went on for several days trying to find a happy medium which did not happen. Day one, we drove up to the dealership to look over the car and test drive it. The car was beautiful, however the paint was destroyed they were asking way too high for this car. All in all we walked away from this place. The manager was not Negotiating from fair price from KBB. I was getting a different price from KBB which was about $5,000 differences. The manager printed off the KBB value I discussed with Elliot that doesn't make the car more Valuable because it has a fm/am radio and so on.. the paint is hammered therefore it's not worth that price. The manager ended up jacking up the price more then it's sticker and we ended up walking out. Elliot said he was going to speak with different managers to hopefully work out a deal and will let me know.. several days went by.. Elliot texted me with a new deal for the car, from a new manager. However when I broke down the the numbers they didn't make any sense, they charged me for a paint protection. I told Elliot I do not want that. He told me the car already has it so he they took off $250 dollars from the car. I looked over the numbers and I realized at the end, they just re added it back on for $499.00. So I told Elliot I am declining it and if we can't do that, there is no deal. Besides the paint is hammered anyways..They accepted. Another estimated was written. When looking over the numbers, they were off again. I told Elliot the numbers are off by 36.00 dollars. So another estimate was written. Be very cautious when buying a car from them and do your math!! They had to rewrite 3 estimates for the same car!! I appreciate them working hard to try to sell me the car, but there is some weird stuff going in this place! read more

In Utah on vacation and called last minute for an oil change/tire rotation. Luckily they had an appointment open for me. Within the first five minutes of my experience here I was treated better than the entire process of purchasing my ford ranger at a different dealership in my home state. My service was on time, and everybody was friendly. The service waiting room was clean, and had more snacks/coffee/drinks than in any dealership I have been to in my life. If I lived here, this would be my go-to dealer for my truck's service needs. I appreciate them accommodating me last minute while on my road trip. read more

Isaac contacted us about a new 2022 Ford Bronco Black Diamond that the dealership had just received. MSRP was in the neighborhood of $45K, but Isaac informed us that the dealership would be selling it for $56(K)+. Perfect, price gouging! Any dealership engaging in this practice should be held accountable by Ford Motor Co. and suffer inventory reduction! As a result, we cannot recommend this dealership and would suggest you consider another as greed seems to be their driving force. Right now, dealerships seem to be getting away with this practice due to high demand for too few of products. An upcoming recession should help cure this practice. I heard a rumor that Ford Bronco orders are now more than two years out. With that said, and a recession looming, order holders may begin to have second thoughts and start cancelling orders. This will become an issue for dealerships as they are still required to purchase these vehicles. I would suggest to anyone considering a Ford Bronco to just hold tight as the time is soon coming where dealerships are going to have to make a deal to lower excess inventory ... read more

We are on a month long vacation towning a trailer when we noticed the trailer brake controller was not working. We called a mile from the dealership and they took us right away. Claudio hooked up his laptop and fixed it and we were back on the road in 10 minutes! So happy with their excellent service! Fast and professional! Nevermind that we had no appointment! So happy! I've bought new cars from multiple dealerships including Subaru and Toyota and I've never had a bad experience until Performance Ford Bountiful. I first contacted Devon (internet sales manager) about receiving a specific discount on an F150 order. He ASSURED me he could give me the discount and told me to come in to talk to a product expert. They deceived me and would not even come close to the discount they told me would be "no problem". I spent 2 hours at the dealership with little movement in price. I'm assuming they just told me that to get me into the dealership, which is totally unprofessional, not to mention being unethical. Contacted them a week later willing to negotiate a higher price in favor of them. Told me they would call me back. It's been a week and no call back. Still shocked they are willing to lie to potential customers to make a sale. They were literally thousands of dollars away from what I was told originally. There are numerous other Ford dealerships in the valley and I recommend going to them first. Possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. read more

I bought a truck from here and have regretted it since I drove off the lot. I was sold an extended warranty saying it covered everything. I have now spent over $3000 this YEAR on repairs for this truck (about the same as the cost of the warranty). All things I thought would be covered by the warranty. I was sold on this being a very clean truck and that it had been looked over before they sold it. The service drive is very hit or miss. Sometimes you get good people and other times you get service people who forget to finish stuff so your check engine light comes on within minutes of leaving the service bay. This has been very disappointing how poorly I have been treated by the whole organization. read more

They had a great customer lift program, but it does not run all the time and I had to figure out a way to get there before they closed to pick up my vehicle when I was told they would pick me up when it was ready. Today when I showed up for my 5:00 pm emissions inspection that I had called and set up earlier today, I was told they can't do it because it is a 1997 and I had to go to the county building (they did it last year). Among other things I was told today, "it would be great if you could get me some good help around here", I don't like working here 13 hours a day" and "there are a lot of Ford dealerships out there" . Below is a follow up to my situation. Glad I am still on their marketing list. Hi Chris, As a matter of fact, as I stated right in my first phone conversation with you that I dislike being lied to. Upon closing the deal with the car-of which I paid full price. I had proposed that you keep the ski rack and give me a credit, and you said, in the presence of several of your co-workers, that you would get me the second key to the car in addition to a full tank of gas and I could keep the rack. At that time I did not realize there was only one key. When my plates came and I called for the second key you had no memory of our conversation and would not stand by your word. Ending what I had considered a decent working relationship.....FOREVER. At this point, I have done nothing to remedy the situation on my end-which is VERY unlike me. I am a tough person and I figured- 'my bad, I should have gotten that in writing'. Caveat emptor. Aside from doing a little research on a nice LIER LIER billboard for outside your dealership and a bad YELP review I have not done my usual retaliation for a situation where I am treated this badly----DO NOT contact me again! I give 2 stars just cause the service was done. But it would be 1 star for the service. Mike is the worst person you could have for a service job. I went in and he talked so rude and condescending towards me just because I asked to use a coupon and said I wasn't going to bring it until I picked the car up. Then to top it all off, he told me my car would be ready Monday and I called ALL DAY trying to get ahold of him because I needed my car for work the next day. He said he wouldn't be working Monday and would tell someone to call me Monday when it's ready and never did. Never got a call or text back until early the next morning. So I had to come in at 7 am just to pick it up. Really dropped the ball! And the exact same thing happened last time my boyfriend brought his car in to mike. He didn't call him for DAYS after his car was done. Never coming back to this location just because of him. Bringing your car in shouldn't be that stressful trying to get ahold of the guy working on it and trying to figure out how you'll get to work. I am buying a used car from a different person, but found via a Carfax lookup it was originally bought through Performance Ford Lincoln. I really wanted to see the original sticker for the car so I could make sure it had all the options I was looking for. I contacted Performance Ford Lincoln and asked if they could pull the sticker for me. They were getting nothing from me in return, but they happily did it anyways. They were prompt and happy to help. I am very thankful for the great customer service I received here. If I lived in the area, I would definitely look them up for my next purchase. read more
