I went in for emissions and a tire rotation. Because I've had issues here before, I actually numbered each of my tires before bringing the vehicle in so I could verify that the rotation was done. Sure enough, when I got the vehicle back, **the tires were still in the exact same positions. They were not rotated. This is now the **THIRD time** I've had this happen at this shop. My tires cost me roughly $2,000, so rotating them properly matters. I shouldn't have to mark my tires beforehand just to make sure a basic service I requested was actually performed. What bothers me most is the loss of trust. If something as simple and easily verifiable as a tire rotation isn't getting done, it makes me question what other requested work customers may assume was completed. I'll probably still use this shop for certain things because the location is convenient for me, **but convenience is the only reason. I clearly cannot trust that requested work has actually been completed without checking it myself. Three times is enough of a pattern. **If you bring your vehicle here, verify the work yourself before you leave because they simply don't care.** read more

These (expletive) at Big O, made an appointment at 10am nobody pulls my truck in or talks to me. I walk up at 11am and asked for my keys back since clearly they weren't getting it done before my health appointment at 11:30am. All those guys just sitting on their cellphones and BSing look at me like "what"? I asked the guy so what's the point of me making an appointment at 10am if you don't even pull my truck into the bay by 11am? He just shrugged his shoulders. Pissed, won't be back. Wouldn't be upset at all about the wait but I specifically told them if it's gonna be an Hour or longer that I need my keys and will have to leave. I flew into Utah to buy a truck and turns out that it had two bad tires on it. I had to make a 12 hour drive back home and the guys at Big O Tires were able to get me in immediately. I got new tires on my truck and back on the road within an hour and a half and for a good price too. Very nice and excellent customer service. read more

Called and spoke to Jeff and he took great care of me. My wife and daughter are heading out on a road trip and her Range Rover needed new tires. Jeff took the time to find me the right tires, but also a great price. I have been to other shops and apparently this tire size can be difficult to find. We dropped it off at 10am the following day and they were busy, with a parking lot full of cars and trucks. About two hours later or less, Jeff called to let me know they were done and we could pick it up whenever we were ready. The old set of tires had an issue with one wheel having a slow leak. I had taken it to another shop and they said the tire was good and I may have a crack in the wheel. I mentioned that to Jeff and when picking it up he said everything looks good, and his tech has looked closely for any possible crack or dent and they couldn't find any damage. 3-4 days later the wheel is holding air and the RR rides like it's brand new. I really appreciate the effort and honesty from Jeff and making sure we had nothing to worry about once my girls hit the road. Thanks Jeff and Big O! Still crooks.. I can't even believe this.. I didn't go to this store for 6 years because they charged me for oil change and did not change the oil.. I went back today,, and they didn't change the oil filter when they did an oil change, I marked it with a marker beforehand because of my last experience at this same store. In there rush to try and fix it they did a shot oil change and spilled oil everywhere that is now dripping off my truck all over the driveway. Verify they change your filter if you go to this store, especially if you have an fx4 or truck with skid plates.. they are skipping effort that runs the risk of severely damaging your vehicle and ripping people off.. Go find my other review for my last experience with the same store.. as per the customer service response, they have never reached out to me on the first visit, after posting many negative reviews I did receive a call a few weeks after the second visit and they offered to refund me for the oil change, the manager did refund me and seemed sincere in an apology. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The service provided by this place is unethical and they target women and scam them. I have only taken my car to this location for all tire and oil services. They cracked my oil pan and it took me 3 additional oil changes to figure it out. I confronted them about the oil leak and I was told it was just the plug so they just replaced the plug. I waited a couple weeks and it was still leaking so I took my car back in and come to find out my oil pan was cracked. They did replace my oil pan and shorted me 1 quart of oil during the process of the replacement. They never asked to top it off or even suggested that I needed to add oil to it. Good thing I'm not stupid and I check my oil. I also don't believe they completely filled my oil when I went in for routine oil changes. They are dishonest I don't recommend spending a dollar at this place. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my car in to get 2 tires looked at since they were leaking. When they were looking at the tire they snapped the lug nut off and proceeded to tell me it was someone else's fault and that it'd be $60 to fix it. I also had to ask multiple times just to find out what was wrong with the tire in the first place. I took it there for an inspection and left with more issues than I came with. Absolutely awful experience. Update: went to a different mechanic to see what the damage was and it turned out to be $300 to fix what they did. DO NOT COME TO BIG O TIRES! read more

We have taken all of our cars to Big O for years. We have had a great relationship with Tyler and have always felt we get a fare price and their service is always great. We were having an issue with our car over heating. We were sure it was one of the fans not working. We called and had Big O order new fans and scheduled a day to bring it in as we live 2+ hours away. Took our TL in and to our surprise it was only a wire that was loose!!! SAVED US HUNDREDS$$$. This is why we are willing to make the trip and continue to take all our cars to Big O in Bountiful!! I called in to check wait time for a tire rotation. I was told "25 mins tops" brought in my car to get it done. It's been almost 2 hours and I'm still waiting and haven't been updated. They will take advantage of you if you don't know anything about cars. I had to get my brakes checked out and they told me it wouldn't be more than an hour and ended up waiting 5+ hours in the store. They decided to replace things that didn't need to be replaced, changed my oil and filter and air filter plus did an emission test for no reason when I had just changed my oil myself. When i asked why they did that they couldn't give me an answer and charged me for everything. They redid pretty much my whole brake system a few months ago and they just went out again. They told me i would need to replace my brake pads every year... don't go here. read more

Brought my vehicle in here for the first time due to a minor oil leak and was informed the repair would be upwards of $1700 with multiple issues listed. I decided to take my car to another Big O Tires location that I happen to have family working at. When asking for a diagnosis or sheet of what they claimed was wrong from this location I was refused. The real repair was $130 and extremely simple. Took about 1 day to complete for the other location no problem. So I'd say head here if you want to pay for way more than what you actually need to at the time! read more

I love this place since it so close to me. Recently I had replaced myself a flat tire leaving the airport and notice the nail in the thread. I checked both the inside wall and outside wall and didn't see anything and didn't think much of it so I thought it would be an easy fix. Sure enough I got a call saying that the nail was on the side wall and was kicking myself cause I should have took pictures. I'm not the arguing type but now I have lost trust in Big O's. Time for a shout out to my favorite tire store! Bought the tires recommended by the salesman last year in spite of the fact that I was planning on a different set. I had been very happy with my last two sets. I took the recommendation because it saved me money. They have been great! And much quieter on the highway than the others just as promised. Yesterday I found a nail in my sidewall. Today I was taken into the lineup immediately and just left with a brand new tire - no charge! It's not everyday you get the kind of service and support that you want and need but these guys just keep delivering! read more

Had a nail in my tire and arrived first thing in the morning - they had me in and out in 20 minutes and didn't charge me for the service. Major downside, however, is that they tried to sell me 4 new tires while I was there. I keep up on these sorts if things and I am not going to need new tires for at least another 15,000 miles (and the penny test proved it). Don't appreciate the scare. read more

I had them quote my brakes. I had several quotes, I discussed the rotors with them at the time. I was told $299/axle including new rotors. I was very clear on my truck model and year. I had other prices at about $350/axle. When they finished, the the bill should have been $600 plus tax. It was nearly $1,100. They were either incompetent or dishonest with me up front. I was driving my mom's car and noticed her low tire light was on. And since I was parked right across the street from a big O tire place I went over it and asked them if they would mind checking out her tire. The kind mechanic checked each of the four tire's pressure and when he noticed one was 20 pounds low suggested that it might have a problem. The new tires were recently purchased at another place but yet he was so helpful to make sure that the tires were all filled with the right amount of air. I would definitely go and buy my tires there next time I'm in the market :-) read more

We had the worst experience at this place. The customer service was awful. We just needed to change one tire, I had called ahead of time and asked them if they had the correct tire size and how long it will take to change it. After we came over and Greg checked our tire size and said it will take about 40 minutes to an hour, so we waited and after one hour he told us that they don't have the tire size that we needed so they had to send a driver to another location to get the tire and it might take another 30 minutes so after another hour the driver has not come back yet at that point nobody came over to apologize or try to find a good solution to our problem. We just asked them to put our tire back on and left to Costco. And at Costco we found out that the guys at big O tires broke the sensor off that would show if our tire was getting the flat, which is pretty big deal and it cost us extra $50 to fix it. The broken part was inside the tire. So in total we spent over three hours to have no work done and that costed us extra $50!!!! Please do yourself a favor and never never never go to that place!!!!! They don't care for the customers!!! To the customer service Representative who replied on my first review - your apology is not accepted, when we first called we specifically mentioned what car we have and I specifically gave the tire size so we wouldn't waste our time even going to your shop at first place, so please don't give me your pathetic excuses. Your business is very unprofessional and dishonest!!! I would never expected this to happen to anyone in UTAH, very disappointing!!! read more

My daughter needed snow tires for her Volkswagen Jetta and I saw a commercial for Black Friday with no interest for 12 months on there Big O card. Went in and she got the card. She then bought 4 snow tires and then opted for a custom set of wheels for the summer tires. That's where all the problems started. They said the car will be finished that day and the summer tires mounted on the new wheels. Snow tires were finished but then was told the wheels won't be in till the middle of next week. Almost 3 weeks later after multiple calls they said they have the wheels. Turns out the salesman ordered the wrong size of wheels for it and ended up giving her a new set of tires because the rim diameter is to big for her summer tires. Fast forward to middle of January I went to install the new wheels to see what it looks like and quickly realized the lug nuts were not included and the new tires and wheels were never balanced. The original equipment lugs are to big. Went back and told them and they didn't understand why the original lugs would not fit. Had to explain to them they are too big for the holes. Was originally told she would be getting lug nuts with the new wheels. Now they got them in and was told now she owes another 70 for them. All I can say is judging by what I went through they need to be trained to do the most basic of jobs and that would be to just use your heads. It's not that hard! Will never be back. Just got a call from the manager and he apologized for the issues and took accountability for the mistakes and said they will work on communicating better. Double check everything. Took car in to have stud tires switched back to regular tires which I purchased at big o. They had taken off the original and bagged for storage. The tires that were wrapped and given back were NOT the correct tires. They acknowledged they were the wrong size. No apology. No remedy. Left with out an entire set of tires. I have spent a ton of money there. Shame on me for giving the Bountiful Big O too many chances....and don't take a flat to be fixed it won't be repaired tried that 3x. Ended up spending $800 on a new set of tires to replace my tires that Big O misplaced. read more

My car had a flat tire when I woke up in the morning. I thought it was no problem because I live across the street from Maverik, and I thought I could fill the tire before driving over to Big O to get my tire repaired. The air pump at Maverik was unfortunately broken, and so I was forced to change my tire. The only problem was that it was my wife's car, and there was no jack in the trunk. She had taken my car to work because of the tire, so I was left stranded with a flat tire. I asked everyone I could at the gas station for a jack, and after many people who also found themselves without a jack, I found someone who had a pump in their car. We tried to pump my tire with no avail. I eventually called Big O's and since I was 0.3 miles away, we thought it would be alright to drive over very slowly, so I drove without going over 5 mph. Now upon arrival, they got me in. The check in was very typical for this type of business and they were quick to get to my car. I suspected that the tire wouldn't be repairable. The man at the desk came and confirmed my suspicions, which I understood. Now, I knew that my treads were low, which they reported to me and told me they wanted to replace all 4. After telling me the measurements of the tires, 2 tires were still within yellow range and didn't need to be changed immediately. I was hoping not to have to pay such a major expense before the holiday as I am a newly wed and trying to get on my feet, so I asked to keep the best 2 tires and put them on the back and put 2 new ones on the front since I have a front wheel drive car. They were going to accommodate that, and everything was going well. They came back in a few minutes later and refused to touch the other tires on my car, because they recommend getting new tires when the tread hits a certain point. It was still within legal limits, yet they said they wouldn't do it, although they had previously agreed to doing it. I'm not happy with them. They also were trying to charge me more than what the tire was listed on the website. Their grab for money completely ruined my experience. If you are someone who is just trying to get by, like me, or if you are someone who doesn't like someone taking money from you unnethen you will probably be as unhappy about your experience as I am. read more

I've been into this Big O three times recently. I really wasn't impressed the first couple times but because I loved the other Big O location I used to go to in Millcreek so much, I decided to give them another chance here. After the third time, however, I don't think I will be returning. A couple of weeks ago, I went in to have safety and emissions done. I asked them how long they thought it would take and they said less than an hour. I said that was fine, and I sat down and patiently waited. After nearly 2 hours, they hadn't said a single word to me to update me on what was going on. Finally I nicely asked the guy how much longer it would take and he flippantly said "I don't know, 10 minutes maybe?" (in a tone of voice that begged the question to me, Only if that's okay with you?) I sat down and patiently waited another half hour for my car to be done. It was the longest time I've ever had to wait for a safety and emissions. The thing that really frustrated me was that there were multiple people coming in for oil changes that came in after me, and were somehow done before me. When it came time to pay he explained that they were waiting on a part they didn't have for most of that time, but that they weren't able to get it. They wrote off a couple of the charges because of how long I had to wait, which was nice of them. I just wished they would have told me earlier the part wasn't there so I could have just chosen to come back and get it! Also, when I got in the car, my steering wheel and shifter were both covered in a layer of grease. This is my biggest pet peeve after going to a car shop - when they don't clean the steering wheel and shifter after they are done! Despite my negative experience I decided to give them another chance. I went in for an oil change this time. He said it would be about 45 minutes, probably even less. He said he would get it right back and start immediately. The guy pulled my car away and I assumed they were working on it. 20 minutes later he pulls my car into the garage and I realized that my car was parked in the back lot that whole time to produce the illusion that they were working on it, but they were actually just starting. By the time an hour had gone by I noticed once again that people that came in after me, were somehow getting done before me. One guy came in for safety and emissions and was in and out in no time, while I was still sitting there waiting. The ironic part was that the previous time I was in, I was getting safety and emissions done and all the people that came in for oil changes were getting in and out while I was still stuck there. I wasn't happy by now, especially because they still didn't give me any updates along the way. When it was finally done after 1h15min, I think the guy could tell I was frustrated and he said they were waiting on a part they didn't have which is why it took so long, and then gave me 10 bucks off. Once again, I thought that was nice, but I wish they would have been straightforward with me from the beginning, and not have told me they could get me in right away, and they could have also updated me earlier that they didn't have the part. In short, I feel that this place did not value me as a customer. They put me on the back burner multiple times and completed work for customers who came in after me for similar services. They waited til the very end on two occasions to tell me they didn't have the parts instead of telling me upfront what was going on. I appreciated that they gave me discounts on two occasions for the wait, but my time and respect as a customer can't always be purchased with a discount. Communication goes a long way, and in this case the lack of communication really made the situation much worse. This place is really busy, and maybe they are just in over their heads dealing with too many people, but its still no excuse for the subpar customer service I received on multiple occasions. read more

I had an oil change done at 25 500 West Bountiful, Utah. They did the oil change, they wanted to do, a coolant flush, it was to expensive, I told them "no", this "Service", was done on 10/27/2021 by Steve Tolman. When I left everything, seemed good, but then my car started, to overheat, and I also started to leak oil, come to find out, after having to put coolant in my vehicle, the reservoir was, almost completely empty, that is why my car, was overheating, and the reason my vehicle was leaking oil, was the gasket on top of my engine, had suddenly, gone bad "Coincidence", I don't think so, this was damage, purposely caused to my vehicle, to force me to come back to Big O Tires, the repair place that, I went to after Big O Tires, was honest, and actually performed the work, they even made sure, that I had enough air, in my tires Big O Tires, was to incompetent to even do that, so I implore individuals, to stay away from, Big O Tires, the employees are incompetent and dishonest, also Steve Tolman, is also incompetent, and dishonest, there are "Honest", vehicle repair, Companies out there, Big O Tires, is clearly not one of them. read more

Staff was professional and helpful. Even noticed me that I still had a warranty on my tires. Ended up replacing a full set and they mentioned my rear brake pads needed to be replaced ASAP. The added cost was a bit steep so I did the service myself. When I pulled the old pads, they still had plenty of life left on them. A little disappointed and glad I didn't pay for BigO to do something they did t need to. read more

NEVER go to big o tires in bountiful. I don't ever write bad reviews because I try to be understanding and keep the peace so If I am writing this you know it's bad. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. First they charged us for a new battery without even asking us beforehand and we had just gotten a new battery last year. I understand that the dead alternator could have ruined the battery, but the fact is they didn't tell us they were replacing it beforehand. We then spent a thousand dollars at this location and they put our serpentine belt on WRONG and it was about to SNAP. Our car was making really weird noises and was struggling. They wanted me to drive all the way to bountiful (I live 30 min away) and risk my life, my car, and other drivers on the road instead of them paying a NEARBY big o tires to do it. My car ended up breaking down AGAIN because of their negligence and the serpentine belt was shredded up. A different big o tires was nice enough to fix it it but they STILL charged me some for their mistake.THEN our check engine light came on after all this crap they did to our car. This is UNACCEPTABLE. They clearly don't know what they're doing with cars, they rip you off, AND they don't care about your car or your own life. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention they over charge you for all the parts. I will NEVER come here again. read more

I was very happy with the price of tires and my oil change. Then I was informed my breaks are almost completely warn out. This was a surprise because I had inspected the pads a few months earlier and they looked brand new. Several months later I was concerned about the breaks but didn't have time to replace them. When I finally bought the breaks i took my car apart and found my old breaks were perfectly fine and showed little wear. It was winter time and a total hassle. I will avoid a dishonest mechanic and never go there again. read more
