When I bought the car, I had a 3rd party inspection done. They stated that the lower control arms were going out & would need to be replaced soon & an alignment done. I let the dealership know that & they said that I could buy it & pay for it at home or they would do it free of charge at their shop. They knew that I lived out of state & that would it would be difficult to get the car over there. I should have come with my own financing but I was on a major time crunch and traveling, so I trusted them with it. I told them I have had loans w/ Chase, Cap One, Mazda Fin.; all of my loans were through major entities. They said the only place I was approved was Westlake Financial (this is a company for people with very low credit & repos, I didn't know that at the time). They also approved me at 13.99%, said that was the best they could do. I didn't have another option at the time with finding my own financing due to time constraint and needing to get home to work the next day, so I went with it. I asked them again if they had gotten me approved with Cap One or Chase since I asked for them to check with them. They said I didn't get approved. Later I checked my credit; there was never an inquiry for Capital One or Chase, just Westlake and a bunch of random credit unions in Utah. When I got my rejection letters for the credit unions all of them were for me not being a resident in Utah, which I'm sure they know is a qualification. After I left I refinanced for less than HALF the interest of the original loan through CapOne. Tony told me I couldn't pay the sales tax at the DMV, that I had to pay it there. That isn't true. I've always paid my sales tax up front at the DMV, I have never financed the interest into the loan. He claimed it was my only option & wouldn't leave it out of the loan. I had $1,500 financed into the loan that didn't need to be there to pay interest on. They also charged me a $2500 fee for the car having low mileage, the paper stated it had 56k miles. On the way home I noticed the odometer was well over 58k not 56k. Tony told me that I had to pay the registration upfront &NV would mail me my plates. I let him know that's not how the DMV works in NV. He argued with me and I ended up paying it. My plates did NOT show up in the mail because you have to go to the DMV, have an inspection, & register in person. Becky caught the error & sent me a check. When I left the dealership I had a written IOU for them to replace the lower control arms/have them take it to a shop for an alignment. I let them know that I didn't know when I'd be able to make it back over, they told me to give them a few days notice to get the parts & they would do it. I bought my car in May & I have not been to UT since. I work 5-6 days/week, 5 hours from UT. I called asking if they would just reimburse me for the cost of the parts/the alignment. Tony advised me he would have to ask the manager. A week later no response, I called back to check. Tony said the owner told him it was too long ago. I asked him if they would honor the deal if I could figure out a way to get the car to Salt Lake since the paperwork did not specify a time limit & neither did they when I bought it. He said even if I brought the car over he wouldn't do it because the owner said he was "done with the deal" because of "an issue we had with the title". I asked what this meant. He said that the owner had asked me to go to the DMV & I wouldn't do it, so he was frustrated with the deal & was "done with it". The owner texted me asking if the car was registered, I let him know that I had an appt the next week. That next week there was a cyber attack on all of NV state info systems, then DMV was closed for over a week. They canceled all appointments, I found this out when I showed up to my appt at 8am the morning of the attack. When my appt was cancelled I got a deputy to do my VIN inspection & did a "rapid registration" online. It took a couple weeks for that to process, I sent him all of the information when I had it. I was not "refusing" to go to the DMV. If they recall, originally they told me my plates would show up in the mail from NV. The local DMV books out about a month for an appt for registration, you can't walk in. I had the 1st appt on my 1st day off that was available & the DMV was shut down that morning. It's not legal to refuse to do something that I have paperwork stating you would honor (with no limit on time frame listed) because you got mad that I couldn't get into the DMV when you wanted me to? Thankfully I have the money to fix this & it's only causing an inconvenience for me and regret that I gave this slimy, poorly run dealership money. I'm filing a complaint with the UT Division of Consumer Protection, as they are not legally allowed to just "be done" with something that is in the legal purchase contract. I called Tony to ask for it in writing that they were refusing to do the repairs a week ago now, of course I've gotten no response. read more

What made my experience memorable was that my car now had a higher sticker price than what was listed on KSL (their mistake) and they still honored what was listed online. Poor experience. The sales team's poor communication meant that they sold a car they had promised to hold for me without a text or a call to me. Refused to pick up the phone to take responsibility for the episode. Felt borderline shady / unethical. In retrospect, I think our less experienced sales guy got bullied by a more experienced sales guy and didn't know how to hold his own with his boss and the rest of the sales team. End to end, definitely one of the easiest car buying experiences I've had. I bought a Volvo XC90 from these guys a few weeks ago. I have waited to write a review because I wanted to make sure the car I bought didn't have any problems, and if it did, I didn't get screwed by the dealer. A lot of the other dealers play so many annoying games and try to pull the whole "let me ask the boss upstairs" BS and go back and forth and waste your whole day. Not these guys, after driving the car I took car of everything else over the phone and was only in the dealer for 20 minutes when I went to pick my car up. They didn't play any games and treated me with respect. So far my car has been pretty great. There have been some mechanical issues, and the dealer has jumped right in and taken care of them for me without skipping a beat. I have been very surprised at their willingness to do the right thing. They have spent an estimated $600 getting my car in tip top shape and making sure I am happy. I understand that used cars are sold on a "as is" basis, so technically the dealer didn't have to do anything for me. My headlight ballast just went out and will be $130 to fix and the dealer will not replace it considering the amount of money they have already spent on my car. But I honestly can't complain, small things like that just happen on used cars, there's no way to predict and prevent it. They have been more than fair and I couldn't ask for more. They have however generously offered to perform the labor for free if I buy the part. These guys have definitely earned my business and I will buy from them again. If you are looking for a nice car with an equally pleasant experience, I'd definitely recommend buying from TW Auto. read more

I just sent $7,000 down the drain. I just got back from TW where their GM Ryan got in my face using a barrage of expletives. The more I tried to tell him to calm down and relax so I could give him my point of view the louder and more hostile he became. Even Tony chimed in but I couldn't make out what he said as I assume a man who was the owner was busy getting in my face too and calling me a "****ing little prick!" and adding, "That's what you get for buying a $5k car!!" Here's the back story: I purchase a 2000 Chevy Astro Van from TW. I even payed over KBB value because it had a newer rear differential and was detailed inside and out and under the hood. Ryan and Toni seemed trust worthy and were friendly and personable too. Before I could even get my plates(within 3 weeks) the engine blew up. The day before the engine blew up I noticed it had a smell to it and was smoking slightly. I took it back to TW and Toni took a peak at it, as the mechanics weren't there. I was really wanting to leave it with them but Toni assured me it would be fine and to bring it back the next day and they would take care of it. I didn't make it to work the next morning and had it towed to TW as they had promised they'd take care of me. Ryan had it taken to their "outside mechanic" which is when we found out the engine had blew. I was floored and had explained to Ryan how Toni assured me the van would be fine until the next day. At that point Ryan threw Toni under the bus and claimed that Toni didn't know anything about cars. At this point my trust still hadn't been broken and I'm aware of the risk you take when you buy a used car so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I continued to work with them. I was given the option to take a $3,700 hit and they would take the van back on a $2,000 trade in. Or they would foot the bill for half the cost of the repair which was going to be $2k total(so they'd pay $1k towards my bill) for an engine with 89k miles on it at their outside mechanic. I was very impressed that they were willing to work with me on a used car with no warranty. I was prepared to give them a glowing review here upon the return of my vehicle. I was still very patient and polite with them through out the whole process. So when the van was promised in a week because of the holiday and two weeks went by with no word I stopped in to check up. Ryan told me he had just got back from his mechanic and that the van was outside and he thought it was done. He told me to go over and check. So I took his direction and stopped in to see if the van was indeed done. When I went into the garage the whole front end of the van was disassembled. I was a little irked that I was lied to and sent on what seemed like a bit of a goose chase. It get's worse... A week later when I picked up my van I asked for documentation on the engine regarding mileage they couldn't provide it but assured me the new engine had 128k miles on it. The deal Ryan gave me promised an engine with 89k miles on it. I was pretty upset but didn't make a big deal out of it as I was anxious to get my van back so I could get to work after 3 weeks without it. The work I received seemed sloppy as my blinker and cruise control no longer worked, the interior was a greasy mess(many of the components are accessed from inside the cabin), and the gas cap was missing. Given the discrepancy in the mileage promised by Ryan and the mileage the mechanic gave and no supporting documentation; I have no idea what was done to the vehicle. At this point my trust was broken. I had been lied to twice. I was still going to try and take the higher road and just deal with it. Fast forward to this morning a couple of weeks later and the van is spitting coolant. This was the last straw. I went back to TW to see if they would stand by their product. I obviously over stepped my bounds when I explained the situation and asked for a refund. I more or less got a why should I and the whole warranty speach. I told them I'd be forced to share my experience on google reviews, yelp, ect and that's when the aforementioned blow up ensued. They passed the buck and told me to take everything up with their outside mechanic. Having their vehicles worked on through a 2nd party obviously rids them of their liability. Smart. I gave the guys at TW the benefit of the doubt right on up until I had been blatantly lied to. It makes me ponder what other lines were deceitful. When I called them out on it they showed their true character. I was so verbally abused and accosted that I felt I had to leave for fear of my own safety. They claimed they bent over backwards for me. How come I'm the one still feeling bent over from doing business with them? read more

This place is pretty refreshing. I purchased a car from TW Auto and they had me sign an as is contract....made me a little nervous but I didn't mind. After I took it I started having issues. I spoke with Tom about it and immediately they helped me set up repairs! They took care of everything for me despite the as is contract. Damage was unfortunately done to the vehicle during the repairs and they took care of that as well. These guys have that old school feel where their word is worth something. This car dealship is a fraud. I was sold a BMW X5 in January of 2014. I had just graduated from school and my parents thought I needed a vehicle that was more reliable and safe for my daughter and I. The dealer well aware of my financial position and also the fact that I had been in two major car accidents. I bought the BMW because I had researched and found that it had a five star crash rating. Just this Thanksgiving , I went out to BMW of Murray to look at their used car selection. I have had my vehicle maintenced here since I bought it as the dealer suggested that I do so because the work would alway carry a warranty. The salesman did an appraisal on my vehicle. He came back to the office with a pale face. He asked me if knew that the vehicle had a branded title. Well it didn't. Although it had UNIBODY DAMAGE. The BMW was virtually worth nothing. A Vespa holds more value then my vehicle. I think by know you know that none of this disclosed during the original sale. The owner sold me the vehicle with a car fax report stating there was no accidents. Well with my lack of knowledge in purchasing a vehicle it was an easy sale. I feel victimized by this corporation. I now have to retain a lawyer and do extensive research to prove that I was sold this vehicle fraudulently. I'm disgusted that car dealships get away with this. BUYER BEWARE. read more

They are the reason car salesmen are called sleazy. I talked to the owner, who sold me my truck. I got ripped off. The truck had was a total lemon. I found many things wrong with the truck that were covered up during the sale. It was the worst shopping experience i have ever had. I have never been strait up lied to that extensively during any retail experience ever.
