Like everyone, I have traded with many computer repair shops. Most were good, and honest. But, whenever I move, which is too frequent, from necessity I find another computer repair business. PCG rocks in all the right places. Their repair service is excellent...I will take a "not feeling so well mac or windows machine" to PCG MDs, and a day or so later the machines are feeling fine. Price is completely within reason...no drama. My mac lap was beyond repair. I had attended a seminar, and a really huge fat guy sat on my laptop. Curses!!! Of course, curse me too because I was the mental midget that left the lap on the chair (with an attached sticker..."Please sit on me"). Brett handled the situation professionally. I asked if he could assist me with options for buying a greatly reduced in price lap. And he did just that...told me everything about the used lap he was selling I needed to know in order to make an informed decision. Macs are not a problem here. I have one that was used in a past life as an anchor. It had probs!! Brett fixed it, and importantly, did not charge me a huge premium because it was Mac. Trade here. You will be smiling! read more

As far as computer stores go, this one is perfect for anybody who wants to get something custom without having to pay an arm and a leg. They are definitely on top of their game when it comes to laptops. I do a lot of work remotely, which means my office is sometimes wherever I can get a good wi-fi signal, so my laptop has to be running like a champ. I was having an issue with some kind of virus I picked up from somewhere and tried my best to Google the answer, but I am no professional at diagnosis. As soon as I walked into their store in South Tampa, I knew right away these people wanted to help. I even got attention from the store owner, Brett. It really says something when an owner is still willing to man the front lines of their business. I was given all my options for repair up front and they even told me exactly what they were going to do before they did it. I was only down for about a day and a half and they were even able to upgrade me for a small upcharge. I have taken my laptop to a few of the big name tech shops and never had an experience as nice as this one. I would recommend PCG to anyone who needs their computer fixed. read more

I have had several computers fixed here and they have always done a fantastic job for me . The last issue was with my laptop, it was not powering up, I was traveling in Atlanta so I took it to a local computer store up there. They told me it was going to cost several hundred to fix so I said forget it, I did not want to spend the money. I decided to wait until I got back to Tampa to just buy a new laptop from PCG. When I got there and started talking to the owner he suggested before I purchased a new laptop I let them check out my old laptop. I told him there was no point because it was too expensive to fix, but he persisted so I brought it in. Guess What after they looked at it they told me it was just a bad AC Adapter and offered to sell me one for $59. I was so blown away by the fact that this company had an opportunity to make money off selling me a new computer but instead did the right thing and was Honest. I ended up buying the new laptop anyway, What the Heck it was good deal and I wanted something lighter since I am traveling allot more with work. Thanks again PCG read more

PCG is the best. If your Mac has problems, instead of going to apple, go straight to PCG honestly- especially as a student who needs to save time and money. I needed to replace the logic board for my MacBook (it just wouldn't turn on!) and when I went to the apple store they told me that the reparation would cost around $600 dollars and that I would have to wait two weeks for the repair, and that the data of my hard drive would probably get lost during the process. Unbelievable. I had so much work due in the next two days and none of my files were backed up. I found out about PCG and They were super helpful. Not only did PCG fix my computer in 2 days but they charged me significantly less than the apple store would have: $350 instead of $600 - that is a huge difference for the same, if not better service. read more

The Customer Service is Beyond Outstanding. If Im being Honest, I Got this PC by the grace of God. TampaPCG offers financing services for anyone just getting started. I have Goals that I wish to Reach and TampaPCG helped me be on my way to reaching them. There was a Issue with one of the financing services and Tom stayed on the phone for over two hours to get things squared away on my behalf. They then expertly assembled a clean and powerful new system for me, and it is performing perfectly. They spent the time fine tuning and customizing the computer to my very specific requirements and finished the entire job in only a couple days. I have spent to much time trying to get a monitor and a tv to show the same picture . I had been to best buy to talk to geek squad and everything they told me to do didnt work. I called Performance Computer Group thinking the same thing would happen. Brett answered the phone and instead of telling me to bring my desktop in he told me how to fix it and It worked. Less than 30 seconds. After the 3 + hours driving back and forth and trying what I was told at best buy it was done. My wife passed away 8 days ago and the last thing I wanted to do was spend 3+ hours fixing it.. No more best buy. Thank You Brett. Brett ( the owner) and Same (A PURE GENIUS) have been the absolute best to work with the past week. I run a property management company in South Tampa and my computer system was crashing, which is not good because the way it was set up was my computer had to be working for everyone else to get into the shared drive. So Brett and Sam hooked us up with the correct system and security for everything in our office to work smoothly and very fast! Sam even worked over the weekend to help us out and get it working! PCG is one of the best local computer stores i have been to.. They do their repairs on site and are top notch when it comes to service! I went in with an Acer thats screen wouldnt display anything. I was concerned i might have burned my motherboard so i paid $59 to diagnose it. Apparently, it was just a bad LCD Cable!!! I AM SO HAPPY, THIS COMPANY COULDVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ME and im more than satisfied with their services. The repair was reasonably priced and i intend on returning anytime i have a computer issue. STAY AWAY!!!!!!. it was the worst experience of my life. there is no one more arrogant than paul. he has stole our computer and sold it, when i went to claim my computer he has said that he doesn't have it and he would call the police and i couldn't go there anymore. he called my family member and he has banned me from going there, which i was not planning to go. there was so many information on that computer, so many pictures and memories. if i could i would give them no star. they gave me a crappy computer that doesn't work instead and that was after i fought them for a month. It's refreshing to see a company that's willing to be honest with customers. The gentlemen at the front counter quoted a new screen + back cover assembly to be around $200 parts and labor, but they were able to just swap out the video cable for $20 and get me up and runnin within just a few days! This place is a little hole in the wall shop where they try to over charge you and add in things that are not needed. Came in for simple repair and watched them try to scam a little old lady into adding all kinds of things she didnt need. They tried it on me as well, I don't recommend coming here at all. I also feel the work done was mediocre, the techs in the back are not very experienced and the turn around time took to long. read more

The computer stores with well known names told me for $125 they'd tear apart the motherboard of my expensive laptop to see if the charger port could be repaired. Lo and behold...the tech at Performance Computer Group fixed it within 2 minutes. I asked, "how much?" Zero, zip, nada. What else do I need to say? I have purchased three used systems from PCG and have always been pleased. Any repairs or issues have always been serviced without a problem. As a gift I received a new PC from another vendor, but returned to PCG with the first problem. They immediately helped me with the new unit and fixed my problem. Jason worked with it for approximately 20 minutes ultimately advising me to take it to a competitor who has better access to Apple parts.
