Located in the middle of downtown, perfect threading is in a great spot if you've just finished work or are out running errands. They have a deal every day of the week and this can be on their waxing , threading or facials which is really handy. I went for the eyebrow and upper lip threading deal which was affordable for downtown. Both ladies inside were super lovely and attentive to exactly what I needed. I LOVE this place. I hadn't touched my brows since I last wrote a review and they looked like fuzzy caterpillars until I strolled on in. On their website they have daily deals and on Wednesday they have an eyebrows and upper lip combo for $11. The woman that serviced me thought it was funny that I referred to it as a "deal" but it totally was! Forget deal, it's a steal! (It's also a combo - you can kind of mix and match, but I'll stick with the original combo.) Again, absolutely painless (how do they do it?) and absolutely perfect brows. They're not out there to shape them, just clean them up, and for that, I can relax the moment I lie down in the chair. I also noticed that they have henna for $5 (I plan on going one day just for that) and massages that are $1 a minute, for 15 or 30 minutes/dollars. To date, that is the best deal I have seen in the city, but no sign of RMT license. The ladies who work here are as nice as can be and smile so much. I read the reviews before heading down to Perfect Threading so I was a bit apprehensive but at the same time really needed some brow and lip action...so I threw my flag to the wind and decided to give PT a chance. I was impressed with the threading here. The lady who did mine didn't ask me what shape or anything she just sat me down and went to work. She herself had those beautifully perfect middle-eastern eyebrows (you know the ones because you probably want them too!) so I felt confident in her shaping abilities. They came out great - no stray hairs, and not too thin. They really know how to do brows here. The cons: well I can only think of one con and I may only be thinking of it because it was mentioned already...but it is true, there is no after-threading-face-wiping action going on here. You may have to spend an extra $5.00 somewhere else for that kind of service. They do offer you a tissue to wipe your face though..for the price I can make do! If you go to their website you can print off coupons. Also, everyday they have services discounted. Eyebrows and lip cost about 15.00 after tax. I did a quick look on Yelp before I went to Perfect Threading and Beauty Salon for a brazillian and other waxing needs and I really wished I sifted through the FILTERED REVIEWS before I committed to this, because the aggregated four star on this page is purely for threading eyebrows and not for all the other services this salon offers. The waxing done here is unsanitary and unprofessional, and worst of all PAINFUL. The woman who did my waxing clearly was never trained on how to wax and was just doing it like she would be doing waxing at home for herself. It was soooo painful and I've never EVER experienced pain like this before anywhere else. The room she led me in had a bed against the wall and didnt give you any room to stretch so you can tighten the skin. She just smeared wax on you and pulled with a strip, many times. A day after I got home, I had a pus-filled cyst on my leg thanks to her waxing. There is a review that got filtered by a woman who had the same experience as me. She left half way because she couldnt stand the pain anymore, which brought her to tears. This salon charged her "HALF" anyway for $28. WTF. This brings me to the point that this place is NOT CHEAP at all. First off, eyebrow threading--$8 is pretty NORMAL for downtown. $3 if you go to Scarborough for Rexdale. And I paid $80 + $2 tip, which was my way of being generous to the tipping because I shouldn't even have had to pay given the unsanitary and unprofessional services here. Needless to say, the job wasn't even clean. So many bad reviews for this place got filtered (some good ones) that seem pretty legit. This spot really is as good as it gets for a threadjob downtown. Easily accessible, no appointments required, clean space, and non-stop Hindi dance fever on TV. I was in and out in ten minutes flat. Don't expect any frills or small talk. A brush (instead of tissue) to wipe my forehead afterwards would have been nice. OK, so, let's review their 2 cheif services: threading and waxing. 1. Threading for face/eyebrows : love it! fast, efficient, gentle and great results. True, she didn't ask what shape I wanted, but frankly she just cleaned up my eyebrows and then asked if I want more - which is perfect! (she didn't change the shape, is what I'm getting at). went twice, so had both the younger and the older lady. Older lady is more thorough, and therefore more painful. 2. Waxing : yes, this ain't no fancy salon and I know of a much better salon in the core that has an entirely painless wax. But this place is 1/2 the price (Not sure where someone got the $80 cost as mine wasn't that at all). The quality is good (if you're not new to waxing and know how to hold/stretch) and I felt everything was sanitary and clean. I'm a fan - I will return for all the services. Oh yeah - and this is not a fancy place! If you want to have free water and ambient music and comfortable chairs, this ain't it. Waxing is not good here! The atmosphere felt old and dirty and extremely painful. It was my first time ever and i was lucky this didn't scar me for life! The lady used the ENTIRE strip to do my brazilian wax. i never felt so much pain in my life. I was bleeding afterwards as well. I've done brazilian for the same price at other places since then and it's night and day comparison. Walked in on a whim and was really happy with my brow threading. The shape was great...even had a few compliments.

The ladies here are quick and efficient whether you want them to thread your eye brows (Hello perfect arches) or you're there for a waxing. I've been out of there in under 12 minutes from start to finish when there wasn't a line up of people waiting. It's best to go during the off hours (i.e. not at lunch, or after work). Bonus: the punch card, so ten services earns you a free round of eyebrow threading. It doesn't make the five star cut because they don't ask if you want to alter the arch of your eyebrows or if you have allergies/preferences when waxing, nor do they dust you off after. I've gone twice at lunch on a weekday, and had almost no wait time to get my eyebrows threaded. The service was very good and very quick. I had my face brushed after, and was given a tissue. Lost a star because the girls aren't particularily friendly, it's a quick in and out... sort of like a threading conveyor belt. The place isn't pretty to look at, but it sure gets the job done. Save your eyebrows! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. First of all, I have been coming to this place on and off for the past few years. As any normal business of this nature, staff come and go. For whatever reason the past two times I have visited I have gotten this girl with unecessarily attitude. This visit I had today WILL be my LAST. I walked into the store hoping to get a nice clean eyebrow threading but I am completely at a lost for words because I AM NOW MISSING A HUGE CHUNK OF MY EYEBROW. From sitting down in the chair she did not even inspect my brows. She just started going at the threading but I found it to be quite rough and more painful than usual. Upon getting up and looking in the mirror I was appalled to see that not only were both my brows more uneven than they were before, there was a HUGE CHUNK missing from my right side. I immediately addressed it and asked, "what happened here?" Pointing out the gap on my brow. Quick to defend she aggressively started making excuses and said, "I knew you were going to say something about that but it's because your eyebrow make up is missing." Ummmm I think I would know if a huge chunk was missing from my eyebrows, I look in the mirror everyday! She refused to apologize, tried to turn it on me and kept saying I was already missing it. From the last time I've written a review this place has gotten more and more popular. Which is understandable as the service used to be good, the ladies nice and polite and the results consistent. Lately the ladies that initially used to be there are absent, or just work the cash. The Bollywood music is blaring. Cleanliness is non-existent as the day progresses, with pieces of thread and dust bunnies littering the floor . On top of all that, I heard the ladies talk to themselves in Hindi making fun of some of the customers which I find entirely unprofessional and rude! This alone is enough to make me never want to go back again. The eyebrows take longer to do than they used to, are less than "perfect" and stay red/inflamed way longer than they do at the other place I have tried since moving on from this location. This place is cheap and convenient for downtown dwellers like myself. I especially like their wednesday "brow + upper lip" combo for $11, which is a steal. That being said, you pretty much get what you paid for - a quick and just ok clean-up. The service quality depends with the person / time of day. I wouldn't go there to get my eyebrows shaped, they spend like 5 minutes on your browns to clean them up, so expect a generic, slim shape that looks OK, but not at all tailored to your face. I've used their Wednesday specials twice. The first time, it was an older lady, who did things haphazardly with the wax. She cleaned up with threading afterward on my brows, but failed to do so on my upper lip. As a result, there were smaller hairs left that were pretty visible. The second time, I used a younger girl called Nazia, and she took the time to use threading to clean up both my brows and my upper lip after waxing, so it was a much cleaner job. However, she also made my brows too thin and with no shape, after I specifically asked for the opposite. This is especially bizarre as the first time I went to the salon to get only my brows done, she did an excellent job. Also, I remember seeing something on their new flyer about not "double dipping". This is a blatant lie as they pretty much all use the same big pot of wax that seems like it's been there from the morning. Pretty gross if you think about it - I try not to. Sometimes a girl just needs a quick and cheap clean up with errant hairs and badly neglected brow shapes. This place is best for that. But if you want to ensure you get the best shape possible for your brows, personalized services, or are a germaphone, this is not the place for you. read more

I get my eyebrows threaded by Dolly and she is very good. Dolly always does a good job of keeping the shape of my brows nicely arched. Always with a smile on her face, Dolly is a pleasure to see and I recommend her. I like that hand sanitizer is kept at each threading station and the chairs are also very comfortable. Walk-ins are welcome and you generally don't have to wait for more than 15 minutes. read more

She changed the shape of my brows, she made them too thin. Also, she left a patch. I had to point it out to her. She did not like that. NEW OWNER IS RUDE DOES NOT REALIZE SHE WORKS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! THINKS SHE IS A QUEEN BECAUSE SHE OWNS THE PLACE. I have been going here for three years and the women working here have always been friendly. However the ladies that used to work here, like Miss Nita Shah have now moved to different locations. I have been twice recently and both times was treated rudely. My mum visits every year and is used to going to them so I took her in December and there was only one lady working in the store, who I did not recognize. She was especially rude to both me and my mother and I was so embarrassed to bring my mum to a place where she was treated with so much disrespect. But we both bit our lip and let it go. When I went in February, again there was only one lady and the place was empty. This was a different lady but she was just as rude. I asked her to keep my shape and she was quick to retort with clear, seething annoyance that there was no way she could keep my shape because it had been such a long time since I last came. I understand if that was the case, but there is a way to talk to your customer, had she told me nicely that was not possible I would have understood. Then when she was telling me how to hold my eyebrows as I wasn't holding it tight enough, she said with visible irritation, "What are you doing?!". Again, there is a way to talk to your customer and more importantly people. I have been to threading salons in various parts of the world and I know sometimes I need to have a tighter grip but I've always been told nicely, not in such a rude manner. I decided to be polite. and ignored her throughout. Then when she finished she was quick to use her phone, so I politely waited and brushed the hairs off my face in the mean time. Once she was done I asked if she would mind if I used more Aloe Vera to which she responded "get it yourself" and I could tell she was annoyed I was still in the store. Again there is a way to say things, if she had said, "sure, it's right in front of you, help yourself" it would not have been a problem. When I got up to pay, I thought she had already prepped the machine since she had been waiting for me, but I was mistaken, so as I put my card in, she again said with venom and annoyance, "Wait. I need to punch it in." Her tone is awful! I looked down and made a face, I couldn't take it anymore. I usually give a 20% tip, but after her rudeness I gave no tip - this may have irritated her more once she noticed. As I was leaving I inquired about where Miss. Nita Shah went and she said that she was now working in the new location. And I said "She was very nice". At this point my tone was accusatory. I had turned away as I said this, so she said "Excuse me? What?" and so I repeated myself. And she said "You are very rude." I asked her to explain how I was rude, what I had done and she had nothing to say because she obviously knew that I had not been rude and could not defend her argument. Instead she told me "Get out, I'm the new owner in this store, and I never want to see you here again". I assured her not to worry, I wouldn't be back", and I listed all the ways she had been rude to me. I then asked her again to tell me how I was rude to her, unable to find a way I was rude ,she repeatedly told me "Get out. Good Night". I left and I will never come back, and I will no longer recommend this place. This new owner and the new employees need to learn respect and customer service, there is a way to say things. I am a frequent visitor to this place. But it seems this place is getting better and better. Earlier I used to visit this place for threading the eyebrows, but I came across a lady named Salima, who is exceptional in her job. She is very polite with a smiling and welcoming nature, will always refer to customers with "MY FRIEND" gesture. She suggested me of facial which was done professionally with excellent results. She is exetremely skilfull in haircut as she did the haircut that suited me well. I was surprised with the makeover of my hair. I got a lot of compliments from my colleagues at my workplace. I would always recommend this place to all my friends, since this place is building up its reputaion to its name with people serving customers with respect and friendly attitude. Overall, I am a fan of this place because they are the most efficient place I have ever been to. My friend had eyelash extensions done here last week. Afterwards she felt that they were too heavy and the glue was very visible. It was so bad she returned the next day to have the lashes removed and was told she could do it at home - all it would take is 40 minutes and some Vaseline. She tried the Vaseline method at home for three hours and the lashes wouldn't budge. Long story short, the owner of this business, Rosie, told my friend that since she was now in actual pain because of these lashes she should go to another esthetician to have them removed and Rosie would reimburse for the cost. After a long and painful ordeal the eyelashes came off with industrial strength adhesive remover. The other esthetician said she had never seen anything like it. Then Rosie only offered to reimburse HALF the cost, not the full cost as she had originally promised. Avoid this place if you value your face and vision. they suck at lashes read more

Super affordable. Very very humble interior, as you expect, but if you are after a quick visit for a great price, this is your place! The staff were very polite during my visit. I was whisked straight to the waxing room despite it being a Saturday afternoon and in about five minutes I was done (half leg - about $24). The young woman who did my wax was very thorough. Her technique was painless! She even waxed my toes, which no-one has ever done before. And to finish she applied a lovely oil (after checking that I wanted it). I have been going here for eyebrow threading and waxing since 2012 as the salon is right by my office. After my waxing experience yesterday with a younger female (wish I asked for her name) who can only be described as rude and suffering from a major God-complex I will never be returning. She picked a fight and essentially called me a liar saying she's incapable of making a mistake as she is a trainer and has worked "for the government for 8 years" - if I wasn't shocked by the terrible customer service I would have laughed in her egomaniacal face. Nope. Nope, nope, nope. Been coming here for a few years, only because there weren't very many other options downtown. It used to be quick, efficient and nice service and $8 eyebrows, which was an amazing price for downtown. Now the eyebrow + upper lip combo is $18!!!!! The prices keep going up and up, but the service hasn't kept up. The staff members are ruuuuuude. I have had a particularly bad experience a couple of times with a young woman whose name starts with the letter P. She likes to play religious music for the whole store to hear (yes, we get it; you're soooo spiritual), and also mess up your eyebrows. She left me with a massive cut on my eyebrow, then tried to rush me out of there so I wouldn't notice. Then instead of admitting it, she decided to give me crap about how I should actually come in to get my eyebrows threaded more often because it's sooooo much harder for her to shape my eyebrows from the beginning rather than just a quick clean-up. If it's so much more work for you, then charge more for that service. Otherwise, shut up and don't comment on my threading schedule, thanks, because the problem isn't my 4-week old eyebrows; it's your lack of skill that left me with blood on my face. Won't be going back. There are many other places downtown where I can get eyebrows and upper lip done for $15, and without the shitty attitude. This is the worst salon. Hairdresser seems not even know how to comb hair. I thought she tear off my head! I had to comb the hair itself. And they do not even curly, ordinary straight hair. She does not know how to make smooth transitions between the strands of hair. She just cut pieces. I think even with an ax could have been done better. This place is awful. I went to the college location and asked if what i should do for facial hair removal. The lady waxed my face which is why except it was getting red and she wouldn't stop.
