When I pressed them on this, they said that the $185 would be deducted from the final bill *in the event that I chose them.* Of course, this would put me as a customer in an awkward position; they could give me a much higher estimate than others, and effectively strong-arm me into accepting because I've already spend $185. I've worked with many electricians and other contractors, and I have never seen this before. AirPlus may have a good reason for doing this, but it seems shady and precarious to me. For this reason alone, I decided not to work with them. If you're considering working with AirPlus, I strongly recommend getting other estimates, as well. Not only *might* you save money on the actual work, but you most assuredly *will* save money by not having to pay for an estimate upfront.

Last month after the fall furnace inspection was complete, the tech mentioned that my hot water heater was more than 20 years old and that it needed to be replaced. AirPlus sent over a plumber to work up an estimate but wasn't able to confirm the unit's age. Turns out the unit was @ 10 years old (called the manufacturer and provided the serial#) and is in good working order (I flushed it 2 years ago and no sediment). I had problems getting a word in edgewise. He finally said his office lady did not pass on the appointment to him and they could not make the appointment... I finally just told Jr that I heard between the line and we should just go our separate ways, Jr seemed happy with that.... Dillingham Jr is not his father... such a shame...

This company came to my home two months ago to fix my broken heat pump because I was not getting any heat and to this date has not resolved the situation. They are telling me that they are overwhelmed with service calls from both their customers and from many customers who had their units installed by other installers. Many of the local HVAC companies have been bought up by large corporations, and many of these customers are now satisfied with these larger, corporations, and want to deal with a local company. I have given Fannon many opportunities to finish their work, but they're telling me that I will just have to wait until their business slows down. Their secretary told me that their business doesn't usually slow down until March so that I will likely have to wait until March 2026. The owner of the company tells me pretty much the same thing.

Came out a second time a week later when I couldn't figure out why the heater wasn't working. Well the building runs on hot water for heating, and two levers had to be switched on to allow the pipes that service the heater to function. They didn't charge me for the 2nd appointment. And the building actually sent a message to owners the same day. Go figure. I appreciated their assistance. Highly recommend the company. When calling they are responsive and kind. The techs that come out are also professional. They don't try to get you to pay extra for anything.
