We have been coming here for many years. We usually get a quick espresso at the counter and chat with the manager. We went there tonight after dinner. My husband ordered an espresso. The very rude woman at the counter refused to serve him. She told us we had to sit at a table and wait for a server. We left without ordering anything. This is one of the greatest coffee spots I've ever been too! They have great options for artisan brews with a large assortment of top-notch pastries. The coffee is DIVINE and you can taste the quality. Oat milk as an option is a huge bonus, and the service is always quick and cheery. Awful customer service, very very strange experience. We go in, the place is empty. The lady put down her book and awkwardly stared at us- the entire time we were there she said maybe 4 sentences. It was around 9am, we went in for the first time and we will not be returning due to how awkward it was. There was no perk in her attitude. Coffee was not the best. This is the first time that I have wanted to write a Yelp review. Today was my birthday and Starbucks gives you a free drink on your actual birthday. I was out to lunch and decided to skip the free drink at Starbucks to go to Perfect Perk for a chai, since they are an hour from home. I noticed a flyer on the wall stating that you can get a free drink on your birthday near where you pick up your drinks. I had already ordered, paid and left a tip for my drink. I went to the order counter to see if I could be refunded for the free drink. I was told that they needed to see my ID for proof, so I went out to the car to get my ID. When I came back inside, the employee that originally took my order said that I was too late to get credit for the drink I had already ordered. I don't understand why they could not credit me for my drink on my birthday, especially after having me go out to the car to get my ID. Really disappointing! read more

This is a little gem in Bradley Beach . We always are looking for a good coffee place where you can seat and enjoy at little sweet treat sipping a good hot or ice latte. My family used to go to the old location down the street - we loved the quaint spot and cozy decor. The same young man was ALWAYS there no matter when we went. He was always pleasant and chatty. This new location is cold and sterile. There seems to be a smaller and quite different selection of dessert offerings. Ginger are all of our favorites and the cookie my son got was dry and tasteless. The staff looks bored and annoyed to be here - no smiling face greeting us as we walked in like before. Bigger isn't always better. Sadly, we won't be back. We really miss our old place. read more

I can't say that I've had any of their desserts, but in terms of coffee, there's certainly better options close by. It's overly expensive and pretty mediocre. Stay away from their specialty drinks- they're not nearly as good as they sound. The main redeeming factors are the staff and seating. The staff is always friendly and there's plenty of seating for everyone. The outdoor seating is a hit among my friends. Avocado toast was nothing more than defrosted Texas toast with store bought guacamole. The breakfast biscuit looked like something I'd get on a spirit airplane. Nice place to sit and have a coffee. The regular coffee is more like a diner cup but it will do. I think the draw here is for the sweets they have. If you still like your espresso strong and the total beverage handcrafted rather than semi automated from the machine, you will find this place refreshing. A Pacific Northwest transplant myself, I haven't captured the perfect coffee here yet (I am frankly horrified at the most common, pastel lettered insignia, chain supply I see coworker cupping each morning. That is sugar water..) I want coffee that tastes like coffee and if you don't do diluted and frilly either, you will enjoy this place as a break from commercial chain trends. Excellent Cannolis filled to the brim with cheese. Must be making their money from their coffee because the Cannolis are under $4 each. Scattered hours though. I've gotten there with a "Be back in 15" sign on the door. But there is a bench outside so you might as well! :) read more
