He is wonderful! Working on my wedding gown and pays so much attention to detail! Highly recommend the perfect fit on shrewsbury street!

I brought my wedding dress in to be altered and it looks amazing. Plus, they were fast and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Had three of my dress shirts taken in a few weeks back. They had them done in three days and only charged $12 per shirt. Another tailor quoted me $21. Shirts look great. I'll definitely be back to this place in the future. read more

I have been a customer of Perfect Fit for 37 years, my family and I have never been disappointed. The owner has always been very accommodating with last minute requests. This is the only place I would ever recommend to family and friends. read more

I picked up my dress and noticed a huge stain on the front that was NOT there before when I tried it on at the place. When I showed it to the owner (the guy) he told me it was my lotion. I don't even wear lotion for one and why would I put lotion on before I try on a dress? I asked him if he could try and get the stain out because it was in fact not lotion. He was so rude and condescending to me right in front of other customers in the store and said "I don't need to do anything for you." I told him I wasn't going to leave without him taking care of the stain that he or one of the other seamstress's put on my dress. He ruined it. He yelled at me and said "I can try, you can come pick it up in 2 weeks." I said thank you and left. When I picked it up the stain not gone and there was a huge water line from where he "tried" to clean it. I am so upset over this. Don't go here if you don't want your gown ruined.. read more

Wouldn't go here again. Not that they did a horrible job... but I spent $100 on my bridesmaid dress, to be taken in, as well as the length. My mother had to fix the back for me, which is disappointing after spending all that money. When I told them the back looked funny, they said "it looked perfect" (it did not). And someone hit the nail on the head in another review, the minute you walk in no one really acknowledges you. Disappointing and expensive :( read more

Bashar was very accomadating when we need to have my daughter's wedding dress taken in from a size 20 to a size 10!!! She lost 165 pounds. He did an awesome job. Very friendly. The dress was hemmed and straps shortened and bust cups added and belt added and it was done quickly and professionally. I didn't think the price was bad at all, granted, he does prefer cash and he does accept credit cards. It's a busy little shop with only 3 people in it and they are working ALL THE TIME. I've read the mixed reviews and can understand how he might come off as a little gruff and insensitive but If you let him know exactly what you want, he will try to do it. Thanks Bashar. The wedding dress came out great!! read more

Very unhappy with this place, despite the good reviews. I should have known, due to the fact that when you walk in no one even acknowledges you. I brought two items to be tailored - two buttons sewed on one and a zipper on the other. Pretty simple? Not for this place. The buttons were sewed on backward and when I went to wear the other item, the zipper still got stuck in the same spot. When I brought the zipper back, I was told to go buy my own replacement zipper and bring it back, and still charged the full cost (minus the amount I already paid for an unfixed item). I will never go to this place again. Also, they do not take credit cards as stated on Yelp. read more

I highly recommend Perfect Fit. I brought my expensive lace dress to the shop with only 14 days left until I left for my destination wedding. Everyone else I brought it to refused to work on it, as they were concerned that they would ruin it. I wanted the back out of the dress, the sides taken in, a bustle added and the dress hemmed so I could walk barefoot on the beach in it. The owner did everything I wanted without any hesitation or doubt. The dress looked like it was made for my body after they were done with it. Also, the alterations only cost $200!! This place is amazing. read more

I brought my bridesmaid dress in to be altered thankfully weeks before the wedding. It's a simple dress, nothing complicated. The woman pinned it and I left feeling confident that it would be fitted properly after reading all of the other yelp reviews. When I returned, I couldn't zip the dress up completely. Before you judge, I'm a size 2 and have been the same size for over 10 years now. The woman was annoyed but measured and said it needed to be taken out an inch. When I returned to pick it up the 2nd time I was told it had been taken out 2" and sure enough it was completely too big up top. It's a strapless dress so the fit is key to not have your whole night ruined by constantly fidgeting to keep it up. At this point she's clearly pissed and making comments as if this were my fault somehow. It had only been a few days so I most definitely did not change in size. She said she'd take it in 3/4 of an inch. I asked her to take it in 1" as I knew 3/4 wouldn't cut it. I go to pick it up for the 3rd time. The woman doesn't even look up at me and didn't even help the man (who was very polite and professional) try to find my dress until after he had been looking for several minutes. She clearly knew which one it was because led him to it immediately. Im told she took it in 3/4"!? I try it on. It's still too big. I question if she even took it in at all this time. At this point I'm beyond annoyed as the wedding is in a few days so I grabbed the dress and said it was fine. I'm now bringing it somewhere else in hopes they can make this dress fit by this weekend. I will never return here again. read more

I went to perfect fit first time 4 years ago. I am just now writing this review because I have had to recommend this place for the very same reason I needed it! I purchased my wedding dress from alexi's bridal in Worcester. after many many months of this women's "alterations" I not only was severely lied to about price but the dress looked awful! with only 3 days until my wedding I was in a panic. I went to perfect fit and the gentleman there was awesome! within an hour he had completely gone thru my dress and 3 of my bridesmaids dresses! not only does he have the eye for it and knew exactly what was wrong within minutes of seeing the dresses but he had them all done the next day! he only charged me 1/10th of the price I had already dished out to alexi's bridal. It was a "perfect fit"!! he also told me that the alterations that I was previously charged for......had in fact never been done!! Now I send all of my brides to perfect fit right away. I wish I had taken my dress and gone there first....would have saved me $600 and a lot of heart ache! read more

This place is so incredible, quality work and so cheap! And QUICK. I had a bathing suit dissected and remade into high waisted bottoms and a top and had a dress shortened and straps altered in under 30 minutes. I will go here for everything. It's great to see these amazing quality mom and pop shops still around, and thriving. read more

Two of my bridesmaids had their dress altered here, one was 7 months pregnant and had to order a size 16 dress, which was WAY to big! He was reasonably priced and very speedy. However both girls dress were still big in the bust. When they went to pick them up and did not have them altered again because the owner wanted to charge them more money to do so. Thankfully our dresses came with straps which they were able to use later in the night. I'm not sure how his other alterations would come out, but I wouldn't go to him for something like a bridesmaids dress, unless you have a lot of time to have it done more than once! read more

I went in, no appointment. Met with the owner, he was nice and quick to fit the dress to my daughter for a wedding. The price was very reasonable, he even fixed the zipper, and steamed it. It was ready to pick up when he said it would be, and he remembered me. Very friendly, quick, good work and good prices. What more could you ask for? read more

I brought 3 dresses into be be altered. One dress to just have the straps shortened and 2 flower girl dresses to have sashes tacked down. I was charged $70 and the bows fell off before they even goe the dresses one. Was not impressed with the service either . . . 5 people waiting and the guy is talking on his cell phone. read more

Overpriced and shoddy work. Seams were large, bulky and uneven. One seam was incomplete. Extra fabric was left on the dress that needed tailoring. Fast turnaround but it shows. read more

My daughter's prom dress needed to be hemmed - and this was no easy task!! Given the multiple, ribbon-trimmed layers of varying length, the Perfect Fit tailor/owner actually needed to remove the thin, beaded waist and shorten from there to preserve the dress's beauty. We picked it up yesterday, and he did a gorgeous job. Everything was perfect! And the price quite reasonable given the complexity. I will return for all of my future tailoring needs! read more

I just had some tailoring done on two pieces; One was a sleeveless top that needed to be brought up at the top by 3/4 of an inch, each seam was 5 inches across $12.00- a little higher thna expected, but not outrageuos The other piece was a sundress; the straps were too long; I wanted them shortened by 2 inches; I was very specific and had pinned where I wanted the shortening done(in the back, not at the top seam) - these straps were less than two inches across each and the job was a simple shortening which I could (and should) have done myself. The tailor shortened them at the top seam instead of where I had pinned the straps (the pin holes are still where I had pinned them) and charged me $15.00 for this piece which I questioned. I had brough a circular skirt to be shortened there a few weeks ago and was charged $15.00 which was fair for an entire skirt. For this job - shortening two straps, 2 inches in length which were already prepped and ready for the machine, seemed way out of line. When I told him I thiught it was overpriced and couldn't believe he would charge that much for straps, I was basically told to leave and never return (Which I do not plan to do.) When I got home I looked closely at the dress and realized that the work was not done as I had asked. it is too late to change the work and the dress will be OK to wear, but It is not what I asked for. So not only did I get taken by this owner, aditionally the work was not executed as I had asked. I am not sure how long the owner will let this review remain, but at Perfect Fit be very specific about what you want done and very careful to ask what you will be charged-I wish I had asked read more

Excellent job, great customer service. They make alterations very simple if you've never been to a tailor before. Also they have good price and get it done fast. I had two pairs of pants altered within 2 days. read more

Having come from Boston and not knowing the area I was looking for a good tailor to bring in the sides of a few dress shirts. Low and behold I found Perfect Fit Tailoring and couldn't be happier. The prices are extremely reasonable, the guys running the store are professional, courteous, and very skilled. I will definitely be bringing future alterations and dry cleaning to them. read more

They do a great job. Have been going here for years for alterations and fixing clothing. I recommend their services, also reasonable prices.

Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I had some uniform pants taken in and hemmed, some shirts taken in, and a blazer tailored. Everything came back looking great and the tailoring looked professional. You may want to make an appointment for a fitting, as they can get busy at times! But they are busy for good reason. read more
