Doesn't look like much on the outside - but is clean and CHEAP! The threader is the sweetest lady. Also, you get a stamp card and the 7th is free! She did a BEAUTIFUL job! No more schlepping down to the gold coast to spend 5x the amount for not as nice of a result! It hurts - but less than waxing and is way quicker. Also you don't have the risk of burning. Quick, cheap, and painless. No frills but that's no biggie since she does such a great job and is so fast! If you've never done threading before, she shows you how to hold your eyebrows so she can thread and uses lotion afterwards to calm the skin. I'm always in and out in under 5 minutes. This is my first time writing a yelp review. I'm writing one now, because this place has made me want to. I first went here the very first week this place opened in 2009. The service was quick and affordable. I went back today after a gap of almost 3 years...the same lady ( she goes by Amber) was there. She finished my threading under 2 mins and I was blown away at the shape she had given my brows. She is awesome and I will be going back every couple weeks from now on. My mind has completely changed about this place! I went in today and noticed they raised their prices. Okay, that's fine I guess. I get my eyebrows done and when I go to pay, I'm told I will be charged an extra dollar because I have "a lot of hair"! I don't understand why they did not tell me this before they started doing my eyebrows! I thought it was the same price for everyone regardless of how much hair they have. If they want to go ahead and charge this, there should be a sign that says it! I was also paying with a card and they charged me an extra dollar just for this. I was excited to find this place since most of the threading places were way out of the way. Well I wish I never found it. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for the past couple years while in New York and now in Chicago. Only visit here if you feel like going through the long process of growing your eyebrows back. I was very adamant that I am a fan of a thick brow and to just clean them up and to not even touch the tops. Half way in she questioned why I didn't want her to thread the top of my eyebrows, I stated again that I really like a thick look but said she could go ahead. Well by the time she was done and I looked in the mirror, the damage was done. They were way too thin without any shape or arch to them. It's hard to find a better price ($7 here compared to $20 at benefit brow bar or $30 at ulta). This is a no-frills establishment but honestly what all do you need when getting your brows done? Also, and most importantly, I have not noticed a significant difference in quality between perfect eyebrows and some of these other places. A small space in a mall, on the same floor of Victoria's secret. There is usually Amber, who is very nice and friendly. There may be a wait for one person sometimes, but not a very long time. I will never recommend this place. Although she kept her price low, eventually she charges a lot. I took eyebrow-upper-lip service and I just told her to remove 2-3 hairs from the lower part of my chin and she charged me for full lower lip as well as chin and paid $8 for it (on her price list that charge is for lower-lip as well as chin). very disappointing..The pain was like hell..when I go to lake view salon which is also very near by and in the same area, she doesn't charge me for 2-3 small hairs when I take other services. When someone is waiting when you go there, she doesn't do good job!! I would prefer to go somewhere far but definitely not this place.... read more
