If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about their clients and delivers beautiful, consistent results, I can't recommend PJ and Glow Brows Salon enough!

How does this place have so many good reviews?!…read more My friend and I asked for our eyebrows to just be cleaned up and kept thick, very simple instructions, and somehow they still ended up uneven. One eyebrow was noticeably thinner than the other. The whole appointment also took way too long considering how basic the request was. We were honestly upset about it. We had to grow them out for months just to get them to look even again. DO NOT COME HERE. We seriously regret it. Stick to Aakar Brows instead.

NICOLE IS AWESOME I debated between 4 and 5 stars. I went…read morewith 5 because at the end of the day, my lashes look great. I've only had them on for 4 days, so I can't speak on the longevity of Nicole's work, but I can tell you that I'm really happy with the way they look. The only reason I considered 4 stars is because the shop is very plain. There are no bells or whistles... and I'm OK with that because Nicole does great work. I'm very picky about my lashes. I've been getting lash extension since 2008, so I'm not a rookie. I used to get my lashes done is San Jose and Los Gatos. The techs there are skilled and there seems to be a lash salon on every corner. We moved to Marina 2 months ago, and I was bummed that I couldn't find a good lash person in Monterey or Carmel. The quality of work just wasn't was I was used, especially for the price. Driving to San Jose for fills was becoming such a pain, so I decided to try Nicole based on the Yelp reviews. Here's what I like: Nicole is friendly and clean. I liked the fact that I could smell hand sanitizer (or soap) on her hands. She uses good products. I can't remember the lash size she used, but they were soft to the touch and perfect for my eyes. They are thick enough to be seen, but not so thick that they weigh my eyelids down or look like I'm wearing falsies. The glue she used didn't both me (sometimes during allergy season, I can be extra sensitive to the glue). Nicole is fairly quick. I think it took an hour for a fill. Now understand, this was the first time I saw Nicole. She was doing a fill on someone else's work, so I think an hour is pretty decent. Nicole's prices are reasonable, especially for the end result. What I really like and appreciate about Nicole is that she is REALLY gentle. I have an extra-sensitive lash line, and she never once made me flinch. There was no pulling or yanking of my old lashes. I could actually relax and enjoy my time on the table.

I've been to this salon 3x. The first being the reason I came back twice more. My first experience…read morewas wonderful, they were able to squeeze me in before an appointment, which I was extremely grateful for, they gave me exactly what I asked for and that set the tone for me, finally I found a salon I will love! Or so I thought.. I came back a second time after being assured over the phone they could take us in, great! We're on our way! Mind you we live 35 min away. I come in with my daughter, only one of the ladies was available as soon as we walked in, fine I'll wait, no big deal. After sitting and waiting for the other person to be free (which wasn't long after we arrived) she proceeded to ignore me sitting there, walking past me MULTIPLE times, being reassured by the lady cutting my daughter's hair that they'd be right with me, and then after an hr I am told that they'd had an appointment and didn't have time for me, I understand an appointment take precedence over a walk in, but then why make me wait just to be told no?! STILL, I came back again! Trying to give it yet ANOTHER chance, this time being considerate of THEIR time and making an appointment. I show up for my appointment 10min early, she is still with her current client, no big deal, I'm early. Waiting, waiting, waiting and yes WAITING, I was barely acknowledged when I walked in, and then proceeded to be ignored while the stylist went well past MY scheduled appointment, not once offering any reassurance that she would be right with me, talking and taking her time and completely being inconsiderate of MY time. 20min PAST my scheduled appointment and STILL she talked and laughed even inviting another employee into the conversation further prolonging the other person's appointment and completely ignoring me and my time. Unless they know you personally and have built a relationship with you, don't bother coming here, you'll be completely ignored and made to feel completely irrelevant. I don't make it a habit of writing reviews, even when I've left feeling less than satisfied, however when I try so hard to give a business the opportunity to keep me coming back and they continue to give me reasons not to come back, I have to voice my experience. And no, I wasn't a Karen or rude, I simply walked out.
