5/15-22/2021 Unit 808 The shower head in the master bedroom needs to be fixed, it came off on the last night of our stay. The sectional is starting to wear down some and will need to be replaced soon. Our trip would've been more enjoyable if the inside pool was available, but due to hurricane damage, it was closed. Other than the rip currents, high winds and the ER visit for our mother and the urgent care visit for our Aunt, we made the most of the rest of our vacation as best as we could. None of the issues above has anything to do with the condo. We have stayed in the Perdido Sun unit 808 a few times and this is the one we love. It's very tastefully decorated and has all the amenities you could ask for. Plenty towels and a well equipped kitchen. We love the area and your staff has always been very courteous and professional. read more

My husband and I booked a week for our anniversary trip at Perdido Sun Condo's. We were both disappointed due to management allowing construction going on in the upstairs unit (during peak season). After complaining about the noise, we were told that the condo association put's the owners first because they need to remodel in order to rent them and nothing could be done for the renter's staying there. After speaking with the owner several times regarding this issue, he said he would gladly give a refund if we decided to leave and apologized for the inconvenience. After cleaning the condo and checking out 3 days early, the owner and property manager said there's nothing they can do because we left early. The owner told us that he had his maintenance guy stay (own our dime) for the next 3 days because we left early and didn't let him know. ( not true) Please do NOT waist your time with this JACK ASS! unit 412. stay away.....He also brags that he has 9 other condos at the property. I could go on and on about the interior of the unit and how horrible the couch smells and how crowded and inconsiderate the beach is with their obnoxious rental chairs and you can't even enjoy the ocean view. Pretty disgusting. Hair - human and pet - in kitchen, on counters, in kitchen drawers, in clean towels and wash cloths. Condition of kitchen is ridiculous- cabinets falling apart, everything sticky -just yuck! A hodgepodge of silverware - but very little, dishes etc. Not even shelf liners or clean dishes. Unit #708 was rented to us via Vacasa @ Perdido Sun- The unit was dirty - floors, throw rugs, something spilled on patio and door. Maintenance was called the first day for toilet and they didn't respond until the following week when I got back home. The push button lock on the door was not working and we didn't realize this until the last day. No security what so ever. No parking. One elevator was broken the whole time we were there. Hot tub was empty - not functioning. I hope the owner of this unit sees this post because the unit is very nice but is not kept up. Also half the light bulbs didn't work and one TV was out. DO NOT RENT THROUGH Unit Very disappointed. I've reached out to Vacasa several times but have received NO response. read more

This is the place to be if you enjoy smelling cigarettes and weed any time you open the balcony door. If you're not into that, don't bother telling the front desk because it won't change anything. Room 1010 needs a plumber to secure the dishwasher to the cabinet so it doesn't fall out, fix the leaking shower valve in the main bathroom, secure the lav faucet in the bedroom, and fix the leaking kitchen faucet. The stove also only has one properly working burner. On a good note, the elevators were fast and there weren't a bunch of unsupervised kids running around. The beach is pretty steep this time of year and the water is pretty murky. read more

Loved unit 500 and PK. Chair rental guy "Coach" was AWFUL, cursed in front of kids, spoke inappropriate to young women, and berated his teen staff. Also changed the rules on where we could setup our canopy everyday. It's a shame one person can ruin an otherwise great condo/beach. Customers who pay to stay at the condo should not be hassled to use the beach. Condo 500 was clean, comfy, and well stocked. All other staff were great and Perdido Key is a great beach town. read more

I have started the process of posting this wherever I can to WARN others. We stayed at the Perdido Sun 702 on 07.23-07.26.2020, cost $1250 for 3 nights. We arrived at 3 pm and the room had not been cleaned yet due to check in at 4pm.  At 4.01pm we walked into the unit to sopping wet floors and the dishwasher running that was completely full of dishes from the previous renters.   Here is what we encountered: -Master bath (black moldy tiles in closet)  Moldy NASTY shower curtain (Toilet paper holder fell off wall at first touch) Pretty sure poop is on the wall above the toilet. -Kitchen (NO measuring cups) (No kitchen towels or Hot Pads for removing things from oven) Floors nasty  (Dishwasher full of someone else's dishes that we have to put up on the first day of VACATION) (Disposal BROKE)   (Ice maker tray with Dirty Finger Prints smeared all over the front) -Den (Sand and stains all over the couch)  Ceiling falling off  BLACK MOLD ON CEILING & VENT -Floors throughout the entire unit NASTY DIRTY, even remaining food left in floor of dining area -Spa for the complex broken the entire visit (looked as if broken for some time with no intentions to fix) -Thursday POOLS are shut down until Monday due to the fact someone has defecated in BOTH pools.  (Really NOT a 4 day process to sterilizing pool water) Shared our concerns & pictures with Ted Tiller of Meyers and were told sorry here is a refund of $180 and he would PASS IT ALONG TO THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENT!  That isn't even a FREE night stay! .....Guess what???   We have yet to hear from anyone!  So not only will I complete this survey but will share it with all the sites I can on the internet.  So hopefully this survey will find its way to the CORRECT department and someone will make this right. We have ALWAYS used Meyer Rental for the last 5-6 years and I must say I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled.  I completely understand a DATED unit but this was a DIRTY NASTY POORLY CLEANED, lacking repairs unit and I feel that falls back on the managing company and they don't seem to care to make it right just to keep renting it and making money for themselves.  ***Please see pictures on trip advisor *** read more

This was our first visit and it'll be our "go to" place from now on...it's clean, friendly, easy access to beach, outside pool, inside pool that's ventilated with four sliding glass doors and over head openings. Exercises equipment room is just enough though no TV or outside windows to help the time go by so bring your iPod or iPhone. The staff on site are willing to answer questions and the management company is quick to reply by email and in person when we goofed on the AC thermostat. Nothing major we just didn't understand how to work it, we had an email response and someone in person within the hour! Lots of boutique shopping at SanRoc Cay and The Wharf nearby. Fishers and Dockside were a real treat! read more

Yes, there are mixed reviews regarding the beach front. I'm here to share my experience. Over half the beach in front of the condo is monopolized by one of the owners personal beach service. There is a SMALL portion for non rented chairs and then back further there's designated tent area. Pretty sad when only half the rented chairs are occupied and everyone else is piled on top of each other. So aside from the wooden chairs taking up most of the area, the beach service guy sets up additional chairs around 530-6 am in that small area, right up front!! Another annoying aspect to mention, there is an ordinance stating NO items are to be left on the beach to protect the sea turtles. Does the beach service company have to abide by these rules? NOPE, their wooden chairs stay out 24/7. Apparently, they make their own rules. The lady at the front desk claims only this one owner profits, no profit sharing from the service for the rest of the owners. Hummm. The whole thing baffles my mind! This condo overall is not nice enough to compensate for the negative beachfront take over. One star, cause I'm not a fan of greedy people monopolizing on nature, endangering the wild life and blocking my view of the ocean! read more

Nice place but noisy. You can't sit on the balcony and enjoy listening to the surf because of the dozens of screaming kids in the hot tub. And no children are supposed to be in the hot tub. You can hear every conversation from both pools and the tub. And "coach," the obnoxious jerk who has the umbrella rentals is what made me write this review. He puts his chairs all the way down at the waters edge. No one can set up in front of his chairs. If the tide is out and you do put your towel in front, he will tell you to move. If you're not around he'll move your stuff for you. He is rude, crude, and a liar. You should hear the tales he tells visitors. Why the condo association allows him to keep his chair rental business there is a mystery. There have been numerous complaints about him for years. And he parks his truck in the handicapped parking space. Parking spaces there are at a premium anyway and VERY narrow. read more

Overall a nice stay, although the units could use some serious updates. No problems besides our interactions with the woman at the front desk. If she worked for me, she would've been fired a long time ago. We checked in after business hours on a Friday so we had to get our parking pass Saturday morning, at which time she was dismissive and rude. During our 5 day stay, I never once saw her greet a guest. On our last day, there was a group of rowdy boys blaring music off their balcony so loud that it could be heard on the beach and in the ocean. On our way back in for the day, we mentioned it to the same front desk lady, who couldn't be bothered to look up from her "paint by numbers" piece that she was working on. She had an attitude when we suggested that she maybe step outside to see for herself which floor/room the boys were in - as that's clearly not the job of a paying guest. All in all, we will be back to Perdido Key but will never be back to Perdido Sun. read more

I stayed in unit 206 and it was a great experience. Very easy access from the lobby. The unit is very nicely furnished and comfortable and has everything you need. Very comfortable bed and a very clean unit. Kitchen was completely furnished and even had a spice rack with spices. Would definitely pick this unit again. The two walls of glass gave great views of the water in multiple directions. The indoor pool is great for the cool days and you still have great views of the beach while you are in it. Great white sand beaches. We could walk forever. Very easy access to shops and restaurants across the street and only a couple minute drive to the grocery store. I did not have any issues that some of the other reviews talk about. There is a new private beach service that takes care of chair and umbrella rentals so "coach" is not an issue. I did not have any issues with the noise or problems with the women at the front desk. They were very friendly and recommended some restaurants for us to check out. read more

Room 914 was an excellent spot. Great view of the beach. Easy access to elevator. The condo is exactly as shown on the Internet. A few things that could be chg'd: couch in living room is "worn" and NOT comfortable at all, a TV guide would been helpful and the mattress sinks in the middle and headboard needs tighten....caused bed to squeak with little movement. First time reviewer so this is not something I really ever do, but the interaction with the staff at perdido sun was so bad that i really want to warn anyone else thinking of staying here about what they're getting into and actually paying for. First, i want to say that the condo was generally as advertised and nice, so i feel bad for the actual condo owners because they own a nice property thats part of an impossibly unprofessional building. To keep this short I'll just say that perdido sun is the type of place that thinks you have to stay there so they feel absolutely no need to have any type of customer service or be polite in any way. The worst of it was being on the beach at 8am with my two year old son when the guy who handles the beach chairs screams at you to pay up or get your stuff off the chair. Keep in mind this is our first morning there, beach is generally empty and I've never seen this guy before. This guy was so rude, discourteous, and unprofessional that at first i thought he was a scam artist trying to squeeze money out of me before I could realize any better. After rambling off something that was as rude as it was incoherent I told him I'd need to hear the prices again to know if i wanted to rent something. The response "no, you just weren't listening. Rent it or get off" obviously we won't be renting anything there again even though we're likely to return to perdido key in the future because the beach is nice and the weather is great. Now this was just the worst of it. Didn't mention the front desks failure to tell us that a building code is needed to get in after 5 which left us stranded outside with our child until someone walked out. Things like that. We all know customer service is generally dead in America but if you want proof of where its buried perdido sun is the place to visit. read more
