I really really wanted to like this condo because the patio and view were so nice; however, one thing after another happened and we ended up having to check out two nights early. From the moment we walked in, the condo had a very musty odor that we thought was just due to the cleaning products used, but turned out to be a very bad mold situation in the condo. You could tell that they had been attempting to cover up the situation by spraying and repainting the areas with mold, but they were never addressing the leakage issues and the mold was a major problem in the unit. We went and bought air purifiers attempting to make the unit work, but we have several people traveling with us that have terrible allergies and the longer we stayed in the unit the more sick we became from being exposed to the mold. The thing that finally tipped us over the edge and required us to leave early was the fact that we found a huge RAT (not mouse) in the condo. It was later divulged to us that the rat issue was known and that prior to our check in, poison had been placed in the unit. By the time we found the rat, it was half dead and had coughed up blood on the curtains. One rat was caught by the maintenance crew, but we continued to find rat droppings on the furniture and we refused to stay in this disgusting unit any longer. We were able to get a refund for all but one night. Throughout the process of talking to several employees trying to remedy the situation the issues we had were clearly very common at this property. I would never stay in this place again and I would recommend others to stay away as well until the management takes action to properly care for this property.

They provided fans to dry the floors. That's it. They didn't try to regrade the ground to divert the water, put in better drains, or literally anything else. They knew is was a problem well before I moved in, but did barely anything. Do not EVER rent a unit in the first floor of these apartment buildings. We had extremely loud upstairs neighbors (music vibrated our light fixtures). Although I was frustrated at the neighbors in general, the main issue was that the upstairs units are not carpeted in the living areas. So, everything said, played, etc. upstairs was heard downstairs. Do not EVER rent a unit on the first floor. So basically, the only good units are those on the second floor. With that being said, you will be the "pesky" neighbor upstairs, because there is literally no fool-proof way to ensure that your neighbor(s) downstairs aren't privy to your noise, regardless of your volume.

The problem we had during our stay is my beach umbrella and beach chair were stolen from right outside the door to the condo. I had put the items out there so I would not get the inside of the condo sandy. I had done this for three nights prior with no problems. Monday morning they were gone. We asked the office, but they were no help. The lady in the office said you're not allowed to store items outside the unit. (No signs posted prohibiting it). So there is either a thief on the property which deems it unsafe or the maintenance/lady in the office took it when all she had to do was knock on the door and tell us it wasn't allowed. There are only 3 units on our floor so it seems odd that a thief would get on and off the elevator looking for stuff to steal. I suspect the office knows because our unit was next to the office and the office was not open on the weekend. A little kindness would have gone a long way In this situation.

The experience is usually always great. On the other hand, this year we had an issue with our condo. We had a booking for the week of 4th of July but the condo got sold and the new owners didn't want to rent it. No big deal, the association took care of it and found us another rental. The new condo was ok but needed some maintenance which they said they would take care of. The listing also said it could sleep 8. When we arrived, they had bought a new couch which didn't have a sleeper and never mentioned it. So now what slept 8 could only sleep 6 and we have a big family. The front office was not helpful and didn't do anything for the inconvenience. I understand that everything else was booked up because of the holiday but the front office was handling the reservation and did nothing for causing a problem for us. Other than that the location is great. It's just a quick walk across the street to the beach. There's also tennis courts that are very well maintained. The beach is pretty quiet except for holidays.
