I rented one of the units (through a third party property management site) in mid-August. After some initial confusion on my part - not seeing the second parking lot, and mixing up the East and West sides of the building, navigating the parking and building were easy! I will never again return to this condominium and I wish I had paid more attention to the bad reviews regarding the cleanliness of this property. I really really wanted to like this condo because the patio and view were so nice; however, one thing after another happened and we ended up having to check out two nights early. From the moment we walked in, the condo had a very musty odor that we thought was just due to the cleaning products used, but turned out to be a very bad mold situation in the condo. You could tell that they had been attempting to cover up the situation by spraying and repainting the areas with mold, but they were never addressing the leakage issues and the mold was a major problem in the unit. We went and bought air purifiers attempting to make the unit work, but we have several people traveling with us that have terrible allergies and the longer we stayed in the unit the more sick we became from being exposed to the mold. The thing that finally tipped us over the edge and required us to leave early was the fact that we found a huge RAT (not mouse) in the condo. It was later divulged to us that the rat issue was known and that prior to our check in, poison had been placed in the unit. By the time we found the rat, it was half dead and had coughed up blood on the curtains. One rat was caught by the maintenance crew, but we continued to find rat droppings on the furniture and we refused to stay in this disgusting unit any longer. We were able to get a refund for all but one night. Throughout the process of talking to several employees trying to remedy the situation the issues we had were clearly very common at this property. I would never stay in this place again and I would recommend others to stay away as well until the management takes action to properly care for this property. read more

Let me preface this review by saying it is related to our experience in a specific unit E503. Other family members rented E505 which was a beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and comfortable unit. The Good: The beach on this property is BEAUTIFUL, and not overly crowded. Keep in mind this is the "Alabama gulf" even though it's technically in Florida, so crystal clear blue green water is a rarity if ever. The pool is huge, and one of the best in the area. There are two elevators for each side of building, so it's a quick ride up and we rarely waited for one. The Bad: The West side of this property seems to be more clean, we could tell they were working on power washing the East side while we were there. There is NO DISCOUNT offered for specific condos, so choose early and pick the most updated ones. our condo was updated poorly, the furniture was awful and stained, and the tile grout throughout the unit was dirty. The patio seemed extra dirty. I wrote the condominium property management about our issues, and never received a response. If you book here, just make sure you are very selective about the unit you choose. read more

As someone else said, MOLD is present in this complex (see photos). Even if it hasn't grown to be visible in your unit, it's in the HVAC system, so it's blowing through your unit and everyone else's. The whole unit was poorly cleaned, as you can see. Oven cleaner not wiped up, hair and greasy dust on oven door, scale around faucets, splashed cleaner on backsplash and light switch, and MOLD all over the entire AC/heat register. The patio was not swept and porch lights were broken. Windows were so filthy we literally could not see through some of them. Absolutely gross. Customer service is as bad as the dangerously dirty unit. Told desk staff about issues and they repeatedly said they'd send someone up to clean. We were told that someone came while we were out and supposedly wiped outside windows, but there was zero evidence of this--no change. We repeatedly asked about getting a key to lock the gate to our unit and they never got back to us. Staff was unresponsive and unfriendly, and didn't inquire about how our stay was when we checked out. After our stay, I sent a detailed letter to the general manager complaining about the lack of cleaning, including the MOLD that we breathed in for a week, asking for partial refund. Never heard a word back. If I were you, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Nice place. I visited a friend who keeps a place there. Eden is about 1.5 miles into Florida - same distance to Flora Bama. So, I can't comment on rentals. But parking is mostly covered. Coffee, water and treats were in the lobby and the desk was manned. Lots of luggage carts, fast elevators and a lovely pool with lounges on the Gulf. The condo seemed very private - especially the patio overlooking the Gulf. The views over Back Bay were spectacular. The condo was a spacious 1 bed/2 bath and laid out perfectly. No complaints at all. Just not a fan of how the area has expanded, nor of the traffic. It was a nice and relaxing visit. read more

Aileen is a great Nail Tech at Emerald Oasis inside the Eden Condominiums (stairstep building) on Perdido Key Drive near the Flora Bama. She did a beautiful pedicure on my feet, never hurt me, listened to what I asked for (short nails, no cuticle nipper), and was a pleasant conversationalist. The software you use to book alerts her that you want an appointment and she responds. She has to drive from a long way, so she tries to book her days up. Call in advance and be prepared for something special. I have had 4 pedicures in Perdido Key, all of them pretty lame until this one. read more

I give it 5* because we are regulars. Every unit has a spectacular view of ocean and pool. each unit is decorated differently so look online and select the one to your liking! Family friendly. Has both indoor and outdoor pools. Beach has the soft white sand. Located in Florida but just a mile from Alabama. The nice thing there are few smokers. And poolside drinking of alcoholic beverages is minimal. I've not observed anyone over the limit... appropriate for all ages. They have an elevator and just a few steps to take. They offer wheeled carts to make it easy to unload the car and get the items to the condo. read more

We stayed here a few years ago traveling as a party of three - hubby and I plus a girlfriend. Their condos are all independently owned and managed thru the collective, girlfriend has been here multiple times and stayed in all sorts of units. Ours was a 1 BR with a second BA, the LR sofa pulled out to a bed. Had a nice kitchen, large dining table, and large patio that had a second dining table and chaise. In warmer weather, the pool is lovely with a terrific waterfall to cool things off. Management was OK, no horrible problems but nothing terrific to report, either. Sometimes parking was a bit annoying if the lots under and beside the property are full, you have to park across a fairly busy highway and walk back. If you are going to pick this Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Perdido area, this appears to be one of the nicer options. Me, I'm an Atlantic Coast beach girl for the walkability of the sand, but if we wanted a quicker getaway, I'd consider going back. read more

Nice condo with great access to the Gulf. Also has a pretty awesome pool with three waterfalls. The staff provides kind, professional service. The parking garage is like a maze so larger SUV's take care trying to navigate through it. read more

The units are awesome. The spa is terrible do not waste your money. I booked a 60 minute massage at the Eden condo. It was the worst one I have ever had. First it was a 45 minute massage. I told the woman I had a bulging lower disc and if she could stretch and loosen that area. She responded, "I am not good at that I was not very good in school at stretching." Which told me she must have just graduated even though she was in her 40-50's. I also mentioned she that she did not take into the room until 15 minutes after my appointment and stopped after 45 minutes. She said that is what a "60" massage is. What a joke. We loved our stay and the spa was our only complaint. Emailed the manager and never heard back from anyone. Very disappointing. read more

Our family really enjoys coming here. Polite staff, owners and family oriented. Pool, hot tub and beach are all top notch. We've been selective on the unit's we've chosen and loved them both...great view overlooking the Gulf and watching dolphins, especially in the a.m. while drinking coffee. Best condominium in the world. I have gone here for the past five years and the condos are very roomy and clean. They also have a very uniquely shaped outdoor pool. Plants surround the inside and in the outside of a huge gaping cave that surrounds the pool to make visitors experiences more memorable moments. On top of the cave there is a beautiful sitting area for guests as well as a waterfall that flows into the pool below. The beach Eden has access to is also amazing. The service is really helpful. Eden is my favorite place to vacation. read more
