Perch is an adorable little store! Well merchandised, filled with all sorts of goodies I would love to have in my home, very contemporary nature like feel. Great for gifts and shopping for yourself! The jewelry is beautiful and very unique. And like other Yelpers said, Zoel is an absolute sweetheart! Everything is personally picked and he is very knowledgable about the merchandise. I know it seems out of the way for some, but accessible by Bart and plenty of parking! No excuse not to drop by :) read more

My friend, pup, and I came here in search of an Ork poster and ended up staying for at least an hour. The lovely guy working there was super nice and gave Dashy a T-R-E-A-T. The place is like etsy come alive. read more

One word: jewelry. Ok, 2 words: HIP jewelry. WOW! I thought Therapy was the best place i could go to meet this addiction, but Perch has proven me WRONG, carrying the most exquisite, unique and fun collection I've truly ever seen. And full disclosure: I know one of the owners in a totally different business capacity but actually, that made me set the bar higher and the bar has been easily scaled. I'm not as gaga about the other items, perhaps because I'm not a big "gift" shopper in the first place -- so the 4 vs. 5 stars really come from the fact that most of the prices are not listed, forcing shoppers to pester the management to learn what they would pay for most items. But if you love fun, funky,, unique jewelry (and can restrain yourself from buying everything!), look no further than Perch. Bonus: super close to lots of very cute restaurants and cafes. read more

I could wax rhapsodic about all of the beautiful and prim little items sold at Perch--never have I been tempted to buy so many things that I absolutely do not need! If you want to pick up a small but special gift for someone, stop by Perch. They sell a variety of things that are sure to work for anyone in your life. I bought a little tea tumblr with a ceramic anchor attached to it. Sounds a bit excessive when I say it out loud, but it's a thing of beauty. read more

This has become my new favorite store! My boyfriend found Perch while working on a cookbook in Glen Park. He stopped in, Zoel helped him pick out the perfect necklace and the rest is history. We both did a majority of our Christmas shopping at Perch this year. After a Saturday stop with the bf, I had to secretly return to buy him a gift (that he had bought for someone else) that he didn't stop talking about. Zoel has a great relationship with his jewelry makers, allowing for picky, thick necked people like me to have longer chains put on necklaces. Zoel is awesome and his customer service is outstanding. He has a great selection of cards as well as unique gifts for that person who has everything. Can it be someone else's birthday yet? Not that I need another reason to go back... read more

Perch is AWESOME. I love that I have somewhere in my neighborhood that I can go to look at pretty things. It's one of those places that I could probably spend a loooong time going thru and gently eyeing and fingering every piece, admiring the design and craftsmanship of everything. That is, if such time existed in my world these days...... The owner, Zoel, has impeccable taste and is very friendly and personable. He told me that he likes to make sure that he stocks his store with a range of things at different price points so that anyone could afford something for any occasion. I love that. I love knowing that I can go to one place to find either a special gift for someone, or an affordable splurge for myself or the little one. 'Cause let's face it, Folks, sometimes it's the treats that keep us going in life! YAY TREATS!! So far I have only bought treats there, but I plan on starting some early Christmas shopping soon, and Perch is high on my list for that. 5 Stars. read more

A great little boutique! Close to La Petit Laurent, Chenery Park, and Canyon Market, Perch is situated perfectly within Glen Park's new offerings. Lots of well selected gift and home items. read more

Sometimes only one word works: FIERCE. I love this shop, it's a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Yeah, it's not cheap, and yeah, you can find a bunch of the stuff elsewhere, but what would elsewhere be derivative and trite, the owner makes fun and unique. It's my first stop for gifts, and I love that I can get kitchen and house-wares without worrying that I'll see them in everyone else's house (a la Crate and Barrel). read more

I agree with Melinda below, plenty of lovely things, but the woman I met with my concern was incredibly rude to me. 2 months ago, I bought a $40 felt pencil case (the cost of that is a whole other reason for my rating) and unfortunately a month and a half later, the zipper broke. I went back and the woman told me that I had obviously worn it out (it was a month and a half old!), but she would ask the owner. I was able to contact the company that makes the pouch and they are happily able to fix the pouch, were lovely and gave quick responses and the fix is free of cost to me. The difference in customer service and standing behind one's wares was astonishing. read more

If you are in a pinch for a last minute gift, you are in luck! My straight up go-to gift spot for mom, sis and my girl. Best service. Coolest inventory. Glen Park. read more

A groovy liittle shop with something for everyone-even the person who has everything. Handmade, hilarious and eclectic gifts as well as handy items you never knew you needed. Zoel (the friendly owner with an easy and welcoming smile) clearly appreciates local artists and all types of creativity. A+ read more

Such a cute little Dan Franciscan shop! Great books, baby clothes & games, items for the kitchen, & lots of gifts! Clean, cute, & pretty hipster. The woman running the shop was very kind also. read more

This is my go to spot to find anniversary, birthday, or valentine cards for my lady

This is the CUTEST store!! I stumbled upon it while exploring Glen Park and I wanted to buy everything inside!! Has an assortment of luxurious soaps, hilarious cards (especially love the baby cards,) baby clothes and housewares. The guy at the register was SO nice and he even gave me an extra soap. Love, love, love this store. read more

Some of my favorite recent Perch purchases: Neoprene lunch bag (on sale for $3), old fashioned magnetic kitchen timer (around $12), fabric wine gift bags (around $4), paper wine gift bags with witty wine jargon on them (around $2) and a unique blown glass ring for my artsy mom, also inexpensive for something beautiful and not mass produced. I know Zoel and was intending to just check out his new store, but I thought it would be like all the other too cool for skool, kitchy, overpriced little gift stores in SF. I was pleasantly surprised to find such interesting AND useful things at inexpensive prices. It is the perfect place for remarkable birthday gifts or compelling home accents. Oh, and Zoel is so affable, the ideal shop keeper. read more

Any store where you can buy (1) a passive-aggressive baby shower card that congratulates the expectant mother on her inability to keep her legs closed; (2) whiskey stones; and (3) decorative guest soaps shaped like piglets is all right in my book. read more

If you love wonderful stationary, jewelry, and eclectic gifts of all sorts for your friends who have great taste and sharp wit, then make a visit to PERCH. It's a small (but well stocked) store with only the very best selection of gifts. My sister took me there today because she used to work with the owners and it was on her list of places to get to. . . the gentleman named Mike (I believe??) working there was so nice and helpful and knowledgeable about the inventory. He had lots of anecdotal stories about what other customers liked and why. . . it was a fabulous, INSPIRING and enjoyable retail experience. THANKS! read more

I love this shop! This is a fabulous place to buy cute gifts for a baby shower...really adorable onesies and little socks, plus smart cards that aren't too saccharine. Also, upstanding collection of jewelry and really original gifts. read more

I love this store. I can always count on finding the perfect, unique gift here. Just a great collection of interesting items. A lot of local artists sell their work here - the jewelry selection is wonderful and so are their greeting cards. Check it out. read more

Are you looking for a wonderful gift? This is the place to go! A wonderful neighborhood shop that is great for last minute gifts, but really it should be a destination as well. Come on down to Glen Park to check out the locally made jewelry, the gorgeous cards and beautifully crafted and fun kitchen items. Lots of cool bar implements too. Love this place! read more

I adore this shop- such a great selection of unique items and gifts. The staff are never overbearing- but always ready to answer any questions. Also, as for the comments about the overwhelming "strong fragrances"- I'm quite sensitive to perfumes and have never had an issue. If anything I catch myself sticking my head through the door just to escape the exhaust from the 36. read more

This is not a big store, but my husband and I can rely on walking in and finding a gift that we need or something we like. Some how, the owner (s) sell new and vintage items that are perfect for what we are looking for. Unique or nice quality, or thoughtful, and funny. Service is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming as well. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood, with something you need for a gift or card. Great owner who is sweet and cares about the neighborhood. Beautiful notes, soaps and candles. Could have more 'funky' items instead of only 'chi-chi', but I love this store. read more

Super cute local store for unique gifts of all ages and genders. Pretty pricey. The sales clerk can help answer any questions, although be careful if you're there around 2pm-3pm. That's usually the lunch break. Was there on Saturday and waited almost 30 minutes before she came back and re-opened the shop. read more

Amazing little shop for gifts - gifts for moms, dads, friends, new babies, thank you's, housewarmings.... I always have trouble choosing from their well edited selection of funky-quirky-adorable things! The owners are always very nice and I love that it's an independent shop. Yay for Perch! read more

Adorable neighborhood gift shoppe!! Their assortment of cards are delightful! This is the perfect place to find some thing for that impossible to shop for person. Lots of artisan items like jewelry and wallets. Cookbooks, decor and an assortment of moleskinesque journals. It's definitely worth stopping in. read more

This is a great little store with interesting items, a knowledgeable and friendly owner, and a pleasant atmosphere. A friend of my with great taste got engaged and I had a choice of reasonably priced gifts to choose from. I love that I have a place in the neighborhood where I can find unique items that aren't in the Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Williams, Sonoma (etc) catalogs. Perch is my go-to spot for any gift-giving occasion. read more

Not sure what the point is to give another 5 star review to this place but as everyone said, they have great cards and gifts. They carry a lot of great brands, including Fishs Eddy and European ones. (and of course local brands.) It was my first time here today and Peter happened to be there along with the adorable dog. Peter was great and we ended up talking a lot about running since he's a marathoner. Anyway a nice place to go to if you're in Glen Park. read more

A lot of these reviews look kind of fishy to me, but Perch is a very cute gift store! I liked the card selection and a lot of handmade things. I sprayed myself with air freshener, thinking it was perfume, but that's no one's fault but mine. read more

Our go to place for gifts and home stuff. Oh, and local jewelry! Owner is always super helpful and friendly.

This is the type of store where you don't necessarily need any of the stuff but you're convinced you do once you start looking around. It's such a nice store for gift giving, that's for sure. There are all these handmade jewelry pieces, which would make the perfect birthday present. There's also tons of really nice (pricey) kitchen and house wares. Need something for a baby shower, this place has really cutesy stuff. Stationary? Perch has got that too. I think what intrigued me the most, the owls (a couple candles, one vase owl, and three ceramic owls all looking down as you shop). I LOVE OWLS! I know, it sounds so juvenile but owls made from soap...whoa. Anyway, it was a nice lazy Sunday with my best friends and Perch was too cute to just pass up. Oh, you can score some sweet Bay Area gear and poster art (i.e., a print of SF neighborhoods! - Very cool)! read more

From soaps, to stationary, to jewelry, to chocolate- everything selected for this store is unique, well made, and worth the trip to Glen Park. The owner is friendly and helpful with product questions, and though the space is small and a bit hard to walk through without bumping into something (then again, i'm really clumsy) the set up is really cute. read more

Perch is a darling little store that has something for everyone. I love the layout of this Glen Park neighborhood store. They have fun and witty cards, great smelling candles, some fun housewares, and very cool and unique jewelry. It feels very peaceful when you're inside, it maybe the color palate, it maybe the merchandise, who knows. But what I do know is that Zoel, the owner, has found some great unique items that you just don't see everywhere! I know I'll be coming back to see what else he has up his sleeve! read more

imagine a fabulous lifestyle store (like an anthro, but more alternative like the SF native stores THERAPY & WISHBONE combined) but with less clutter and more cohesiveness, style, and restraint. this store is beautiful and is stocked with great stuff. i loved the jewelry. you can tell each item was carefully picked for this place. what a great place to get gifts and see cute & fun things. read more

Really cute little spot to grab a gift for a friend, or yourself for that matter. I love the home decor selection, but I love the jewelry they have there even more. It is not cheap, but it is made by local artists, and are one of a kind pieces. It has a very pleasant vibe, and I have found the people that work there to be very friendly and nice. If you are tight on money, don't step a foot in the door. read more

Great boutique. I always go in and never leave without buying something. Even if its as little as a pen or a card. They have a corner of the best smelling lotions, soaps, candles and bath salts. A nook of with handmade jewelry that you can't find in department stores. Another corner for the kiddies. Random bits of cool things tucked into shelves. Almost like a treasure hunt! read more

I live in the area and was so happy when Perch opened. First, they have really thoughtful selection of items -- a great range of prices and items for the home, children and yourself so for a smaller store you can take care of a lot of different needs. I think that the reviews that consider it similar to Den and Wishbone didn't spend enough time in the store -- there really are many more types of things and frankly some are more distinctive. Zoel the owner has always been very helpful and friendly -- you really feel the sense of community. Here is a store that adds to our neighborhood with an owner that is trying to build a business and a place here. read more
