Had the best time here ! They hosted a mahjong night for my women's group upstairs. The staff were all super friendly, the drinks and food were pretty tasty and overall the place was really nice and conveniently located. They have free valet (tip encouraged). But overall we had so much fun! I can't wait to go back and enjoy dinner with friends !

Food: 9.5/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Firstly, it's not Italian it's European coastal cuisine! Dallas has a plethora of fusion/inauthentic Italian places (that mostly disappoint) so I was pleasantly surprised to know that this new staple restaurant wasn't merely Italian. I took a girlfriend here for a birthday Tiny-Tini hour here ($7 tini's and discounted small plates!) and we both absolutely loved everything. Majority of the menu is made in-house and the flavors are well above your average expectations. We selected the calamari (a familiar dish) as our small bite and it was pleasantly unique from other calamari batters and dips! The tiny-Tini was indeed not tiny in flavor nor in spirit! The cherry on top went atop an OLIVE OIL CAKE! This was the most unique and satisfying dessert! Soft, flavorful, paired with creamy gelato and delish toffee. Every server i encountered was super sweet and Isaac was so informative and went above and beyond! The bar space and 1st floor dining area alone are so cute and dim lit for intimate dining. Great for a birthday, date night or a dinner with friends! Since i went prior to the dinner time, I will most definitely come back. Highly recommend this local owned restaurant for its fresh in-house menu and dining experience.

Pro-tip: If you eat somewhere else, make sure to save room for dessert at Rise Souffle!!…read more Oh man. What a special experience. First, you walk in and you're introduced to a small, charming, and warm space that looks straight out of a children's fairytale. Don't forget to grab a little surprise card (child friendly and adult friendly) either before you sit down or on your way out. Cute conversation starters and reflection inspiration! My objective of the night was dessert, so I didn't even bother to look at the savory souffles. While waiting for our server, my eyes were captivated by the twinkling lights around me (in the indoor space) and the sight and sounds of the chefs whisking away the souffles before they went in the oven. I was expecting Ratatouille's Remy to pop out. Anyway, as we gazed through the dessert menu, we thought we were enlightened already, but it only got better -- the specials: Strawberry and Pistachio. I'm regretting only getting the Pistachio because it was just so dang good. Will definitely be back. Austin is missing out. To the owner - Wonderful job bringing a taste of your French childhood to Dallas.

I started with the marshmallow soup, which is really a puffy goat cheese ball on top of carrot tomato soup, can't recommend this enough. My main entrée was the southwest chicken soufflé, and it was the only part of my meal. I was so so about. I would not order it again. But I did eat most of it. The chocolate soufflé was fantastic, I loved every bit of it and pouring the chocolate on top was so satisfying. Verdict: I would go again!

I visited Waters Edge with my family this past weekend before we went to a movie at the Drafthouse…read more(just across the parking lot), and we had a good time! Waters Edge is a winery and a bistro - so you can come for drinks or a meal or both. We were told that they make all of the wines on their menu, of which there are dozens of wines on their menu. I've been to a few urban wineries before, and it's an interesting concept. Waters Edge buys grape must (crushed grapes) from around the world and then craft and bottle wines made from that must at their locations (this Dallas location is one of 15 across the country). Wanting to try a few of their wines, the four of us shared two flights of five wines each. We tried the Tour of Armenia and Alec's Flight (a rotating selection of wines by their winemaker). Did I like every wine? No. But I thought most of them were pretty good. Personally, I'm not sure they need to make this many wines; I'll always prefer a business that does ten things well than fifty things fine (the Cheesecake Factory rule). But most of the wines were pretty nice (of the 10 I tried, I wouldn't drink 3 or 4 but wouldn't mind drinking the rest again). I appreciated that many of their wines are Armenian style, because I haven't had much opportunity to try Armenian wines. We also ordered a few snacks - they have a full food menu. We shared their Deviled Egg of the Month (2 eggs - 4 halves) and their Cheese is Life Board (two cheeses, hot honey, giardiniera, and crispy flatbread), which were both good snacks. They've been open just under a year, but the place doesn't feel quite lived in yet. The dining room has a large room divider in it, set up like a bookshelf. It has books and card/trivia games about wine and more. But many of these items were still wrapped in plastic, making it feel a little impersonal. The service was good, and it's a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours! The food we had was pretty good. The wines in my opinion are just okay - probably not the spot to take a wine snob on a date. But they have a large variety of wines, so you're likely to find one or many that you like. Not a bad place to spend some time if you're in the neighborhood!
