Tour de France wine flight
TJ H.

My office in Dallas has recently moved and I have started flying in and out of DAL much more often and I now have a routine almost every time on my way home that it starts with a stop at Cru Wine bar at least to have a glass of wine, and more often to have a flight of wine and dinner! Usually not too crowded, and I love the fact that I can get different flights and try a few different things. As far as food, the tomato soup is great, the meatballs are great, and what I have seen of the other food looks good as well! Bartenders are personable and knowledgeable enough to give you some recommendations on what you may like to try! Definitely one of my favorite airport spots!

Nice little place right inside the entrance to the terminals. My wife got shaken beef and it taste delicious. I got the meat lovers pizza and it was very good. There was plenty of seating and the white staff were very nice.

Loud but it's fun. The service here is always fantastic. One of our favorite places to pop into while we're at Luv.! David rocks

Was excited to find a wine bar at the airport to spend my time in for a longer layover. Was unfortunately a little let down. All the reviews talked the service up but I believe it could have been better. We were only one of two tables yea dirty dishes and empty glasses filled our table while the server walked but multiple times looking at them and not grabbing them. The food was subpar and wine selection could have been better. All in all I wouldn't choose to go back on my layover home.

Top notch service and accommodating chef. This a a comfy place to grab a bite and a drink between flights.

The pizza was delicious and big enough to feed two people. And our server was so cool and funny!

Charcuterie Board

Great spot for a wonderful glass of wine and a quick snack before boarding our flight. Our sever was very attentive and explained the wines that we ordered. Very relaxing feel atmosphere before boarding.

Bar stool need an update.

Love the convenience of having a glass of GOOD wine at the airport. I've been stopping by for years and the service and wine selection are consistently great. I've only tried a few food items - pizzas and salads - but they were also delicious. That said, they really should invest in decor updates. The barstools are ridiculous. Otherwise well worth a stop.

I stopped in for a quick lunch before my flight out of Dallas after Ice Storm 2023. Pros: Service was fast and friendly. Loved my Pear and Gorgonzola pizza - I ate every bit Easy to get seating Cons: The tables turn quickly, but they don't get to wipe tables down in between Prices are a bit steep Not a whole lot of non-alcoholic options Could use some more dessert options too Pro tip: Good place to sit if you have some time before your flight. The restaurant is a bit removed from the chaotic gating area, so it isn't as noisy.

Sinful red flight

Service was phenomenal. Everyone working there was extremely friendly. I loved the sinful reds wine flight. The only down side was the house salad was terrible. I didn't like the flavor of the vinaigrette. I would definitely go back, but try something different to eat.

My flight was delayed and what better way to spend my time than to eat and drink! Cru is always a great place to grab some good pizza and wine! Thank you Lovefield for having this place at the airport! Definitely helped the time go by while waiting on my flight

Cheese board and Chardonnay wine flight

I had a little time to kill waiting on my flight, so I decided to grab a bite to eat and enjoy some wine at Cru. We have a Cru wine bar in The Woodlands near my home that I've always enjoyed. Needless to say, this was a good Cru too! I enjoyed a flight of white wines. I also ordered a cheese board and added salami. The staff were attentive and kind.

Not even child's portions, in my opinion. Sad.

Excellent wine and food...very comfortable spot prior to our flight. The wine flights are a great idea, very reasonably priced.

We recently hosted my daughter's bridal shower at rise, an event that had been planned and reserved…read moremonths in advance for approximately 25 guests. I want to start by saying the food was absolutely amazing, and our servers were exceptional. They were kind, attentive, and truly helped make the day special. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the manager, Lisa. Throughout our shower, Lisa repeatedly came into our area and stood watching our group. We felt constantly monitored. If a guest briefly set a purse on a nearby table while hugging or greeting someone, Lisa was immediately there telling us it had to be moved because it was not one of our tables. When I looked through our photographs afterward, I realized she was even standing in the background of numerous pictures because she was around our party so frequently. Toward the end of the shower, Lisa approached me in front of other customers and told us we needed to quiet down, that we only had a two hour time slot, and that it was "time to wrap it up." We were not a rowdy or disrespectful group. We were women celebrating a bride. We were eating, opening gifts, playing bridal shower games, laughing, clapping, and enjoying a very special occasion. What really confirmed for me that her behavior was inappropriate was having restaurant patrons who were not even part of our party approach me afterward to say they witnessed how Lisa spoke to me and thought she was incredibly rude. I eventually had to tell Lisa to bring it down a notch and that I was not going to allow her to ruin my daughter's special day. It is such a shame because everything else was wonderful. The food was phenomenal, our servers were amazing, and the restaurant was beautiful. Lisa's behavior was the one negative part of an otherwise beautiful celebration, but unfortunately, it was significant enough that I felt it needed to be shared.

My girlfriend had the Southwest chicken which was also delicious. Talk about melt in your mouth. And to top it off we split the chocolate soufflé! One note, the place was packed, of course we made early reservations but I did not see one male in the place except wait staff. I guess this is truly a ladies lunch place. But make a reservation and go you won't be disappointed.

I visited Waters Edge with my family this past weekend before we went to a movie at the Drafthouse…read more(just across the parking lot), and we had a good time! Waters Edge is a winery and a bistro - so you can come for drinks or a meal or both. We were told that they make all of the wines on their menu, of which there are dozens of wines on their menu. I've been to a few urban wineries before, and it's an interesting concept. Waters Edge buys grape must (crushed grapes) from around the world and then craft and bottle wines made from that must at their locations (this Dallas location is one of 15 across the country). Wanting to try a few of their wines, the four of us shared two flights of five wines each. We tried the Tour of Armenia and Alec's Flight (a rotating selection of wines by their winemaker). Did I like every wine? No. But I thought most of them were pretty good. Personally, I'm not sure they need to make this many wines; I'll always prefer a business that does ten things well than fifty things fine (the Cheesecake Factory rule). But most of the wines were pretty nice (of the 10 I tried, I wouldn't drink 3 or 4 but wouldn't mind drinking the rest again). I appreciated that many of their wines are Armenian style, because I haven't had much opportunity to try Armenian wines. We also ordered a few snacks - they have a full food menu. We shared their Deviled Egg of the Month (2 eggs - 4 halves) and their Cheese is Life Board (two cheeses, hot honey, giardiniera, and crispy flatbread), which were both good snacks. They've been open just under a year, but the place doesn't feel quite lived in yet. The dining room has a large room divider in it, set up like a bookshelf. It has books and card/trivia games about wine and more. But many of these items were still wrapped in plastic, making it feel a little impersonal. The service was good, and it's a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours! The food we had was pretty good. The wines in my opinion are just okay - probably not the spot to take a wine snob on a date. But they have a large variety of wines, so you're likely to find one or many that you like. Not a bad place to spend some time if you're in the neighborhood!
