Come here if you want to be cheated out of your money. I don't even know where to start. My husband and I made appointments for mani/pedi's 2 months in advance to celebrate our birthdays with some relaxation. We took off of work and were excited for some pampering. Then, 1.5 days before, I checked the website and saw that the type of pedicure I booked for myself was no longer listed and the price for his pedicure (the libation beer pedicure, now called "local brew spirited") had gone up 15%. The manicure prices had also increased. We'd received no outreach in advance to tell us that a service we'd booked was no longer available and were given no notice of the price change. I reached out about our concerns and was simply told that the services and pricing had changed and there was nothing that could be done except pick different services if we wanted. There was no effort from management and obviously no plan for the customers this impacted. Given the short notice, we didn't have many other options so we showed up for our appointments, keeping a positive mindset. We were gravely disappointed. Among other things, my husband's pedicure started 30 minutes late. We were charged $99 for his libation beer pedicure (estimated to take 1 hour) yet they somehow wrapped his up in about 30 minutes and we both moved to manicures at the same time. On top of that, he did not get what was promised on the website. His pedicure was almost identical to mine (despite being $30 more) except for one difference: He was given half a can of beer (he had no choice in the type) to drink and the other half was poured in his foot bath. I suppose the half a beer in the foot bath was what made it a "beer soak." but there was no "fresh lemon" on top. There was also no "draft beer nourishing masque." The woman used the exact same products and steps on his feet as on mine (from the same tray of products). For my manicure ($69), I got regular polish (non gel). I'm aware that this typically only lasts a few days but mine had significant chips within about 12 hours (they actually weren't perfect when I left the salon but by that point I was so frustrated I just left) including 2 nails that had completely peeled off. In that time, I didn't shower, do dishes, clean, etc... so there's no reason why they'd have such significant damage. I had lunch with my friends for my birthday and they were appalled. Completely shocked by the state of them after less than a day. I had to repaint the two nails that had peeled in a different color (which has managed to stay on without any chipping for 2 days now). By 24 hours later, there were even more huge chips/portions peeled off. I will be finding a new salon.

Absolutely amazing experience from the moment I entered until I left. They have the most soothing and satisfying teas that will heal you from the inside out. So my day included a body polish, body wrap, massage, welcome drink, and lunch. I wish I had captured a picture of lunch which was an amazing salad with grilled chicken, yogurt with fruit, and more soothing tea. Okay let's talk treatments. The green tea matcha scrub is everything and Thi left my skin oh so SOFT!! After a hot steam shower she wrapped me in hot herbal infused towels and wrapped me in my burrito to detox. Let's just say relax, relate, and restore. Now the best was definitely saved for last... Brandon Slater is back in Richmond with Heavenly Handed and healing touch. This massage was everything I needed and everything I didn't know I needed! I floated off the table and down the steps. So if you haven't been to Perceptions Organic Spa recently you are in for a treat. They recently upgraded the massage rooms and have a meditation space. So stop thinking about go on and book now! Ask for Brandon he will change your life!

This salon shouldn't be letting inexperienced nail technicians (Thi) perform nail services. These are thick and uneven.

Unfortunately, this salon seems to be going downhill. The first time I ever went it was really nice. My most recent experience (2/23) was not good. My friend and I went for a girls night out. We asked for dip manicures and pedicures. My nail technician did not know how to do a French dip manicure. Instead of telling me she did not know how to do it, she did a clear dip, and then painted the French with shellac. I told her that's not really what I wanted, but it was too late to change it. If she would've told me, then I would've made a different decision to not go with French. Once it was finished, I could see that the dip didn't even cover the whole nail bed. Plus, they were too thick with too much product and bumpy because she did not go back to smooth things over. To add insult to injury, when I checked out at the front desk, they charged me for the dip and a shellac. Plus they charge to soak off your previous dip! Absolutely ridiculous since there's no way to do Dip without removing the prior dip. My friends experience was even worse. She had two different nail technicians, one for the manicure, one for the pedicure. My technician at least soaked my dip off while I was having my pedicure. My friends technician did not do that because she was busy with another client. So when my friends technician started on her manicure, she used the cuticle tool to pry off the previous dip which caused pain to my friend. It was a ridiculous experience. I called the manager the next day, and he wasn't interested in making sure that we are repeat customers. He told me I could come back to have one or two of my nails repaired, but he would not redo all of them. We were disappointed and we will never go back.

Came here for a bridal party and emailed the spa inquiring packages and pricing options for the wedding party. In the first email they sent completely incorrect pricing for the packages. The following email included different prices for the packages. After receiving service from the spa, due to a "miscommunication" we were charged for a package we did not ask for, but received service for. The staff would not accommodate. The service was great-however, the staff was not accommodating and all of us paid DOUBLE what we were expecting. Will not be returning!!!

I liked this quote on the wall from the Dalai Lama.

First of all, what a beautiful spa. It's so comfortable, and the decorations are so lovely with such perfect little touches. Kat did my pedicure and she was so friendly and helpful. She did an amazing job! My legs and feet are so soft and my color is all set for a weekend event in open toe shoes. Thanks so much for a lovely experience! Next time I'm in Richmond, I'll be back!

Caroline M.

What a great service! They managed to fit me in last minute for a shellac manicure. They got me in and out in about 30 minutes - wonderful timing and a beautiful manicure! It was very peaceful in the salon - not much noise or conversation. They offer tea and water when you arrive. The color options are plentiful and they have multiple options for each color. Definitely worth the price - $25 for a gel manicure!

Sonali P.

Cozy, comfortable, professional, relaxing - if this place was in my home town, I would go every time! Chloe was so helpful and friendly, she helped me pick a color and actually tried multiple colors on my fingers to help me choose! I was offered coffee, tea or water when I came in. The atmosphere was very relaxing, soft instrumental music played and it smelled nice too! (no acetone/nail polish smell like most places) I got the shellac manicure and an aromatic pedicure. Both done meticulously and the massages/hot towels felt amazing. The scrub on my legs wasn't too course (as I've experienced before), but was definitely exfoliating! I felt amazing afterwards and if I'm ever in Richmond again, I will definitely be back! (The burn on my finger is not from the manicure, that's my own mistake from earlier that morning)

Deneen S.

I called and left a message for someone to call me back as I wanted to be seen today. They called me back shortly and set me an appointment for 3. Very accommodating which is appreciated. Upon walking in I noticed a very relaxing aroma. The person that was going to be helping me was doing eyebrows and would be out shortly. I was asked if I wanted tea or water to which I declined for the moment. I just wanted to take in my environment. Moments later someone named Tee introduced herself to me and she would be the one helping me. She was extremely nice throughout the whole experience and she did a great job on the pedicure as well as the manicure. I gave it a 3 star rating because to me it was average. For the same price Escape Nail Spa offers more. They not only offer water or tea, they offer wine, champagne and delicious fresh fruit not to mention a neck massage, and very relaxing music, all included for the same price. Perception had no music playing so you just heard other conversations going on. Relaxing music could have helped with relaxation, and to drown out other people talking. I guess it depends on how serious you are about getting organic products for your nails. Otherwise the $40 I spend normally for a Mani & Pedicure will continue to be my choice as there isn't nothing significant enough to make me pay $100.

This place was fantastic. I made a same-day, after work appt online and followed the instructions once I arrived to get my visit started. They promptly gave me the greenlight to come in and took a forehead temp. There were plenty of signs for social distancing and everyone was wearing masks. It was still a very enjoyable experience. Kim was great and I loved the Detox manicure. I will definitely be coming back!

Sara E.

I am SUPER impressed with this place after my first time going. I have been wanting to get a pedicure but I'm definitely on the overcautious side of the COVID protocols and I didn't want to go to a salon with lots of stations. I did some research and found this place. I was able to book my appointment online which I liked. Before my appt I had to fill out a detailed COVID tracking sheet. When you arrive you call them and they tell you when you can enter. Your temp is taken and you are escorted to wash your hands. I was promptly taken back and besides myself there was only one other customer in the nail area. The employees all wore masks and the manicure stations had plexiglass separations. The pedicure stations did not but all of the utensils were autoclaved and the stations were sanitized before and after clients. The one thing I will say is it was more than I usually pay for this service, HOWEVER since I hadn't gone since Dec 2019 and the COVID protocols were the most important to me at thus point I felt the price was well worth it!

Photo from 11/30/19, got my $67 "gel mani" on 11/22/19 - 8 days later. Pure disappointment.

Tiffany H.

The jist: I requested a "gel manicure" and had to pay $67 for it to last less than 8 days. The detail: Made an appointment over the phone for 3 of us for 2 "gel manicures" and 1 "reg manicure" for 2:30pm on 11/22/19. It was all our first time there. Got to the salon and receptionist gave a friendly welcome, confirmed our 2 gel manis and a reg mani appointments, and gave us tea. The overall appointment was nice enough - the timing was a little funny with them staggering us and still not ending around the same time but it wasn't a big deal. After our nails were all painted, we each got an exfoliant, then got a hand clay mask into heated gloves, and a warm towel. It was a nice finish to our manicures but we weren't asked or told that they were going to happen so we assumed it was a part of their regular "manicure" package - because the technicians just did it without saying anything to any of us. Once we got rung up, the "reg mani" was $35, my friends "gel mani" with no gel removal was $62, and my "gel mani" with gel removal was $67. Seriously? I was so shocked I didn't even know how to react so I just paid it my $67 and that decision still haunts me. Hence, me now making this review. And why it haunts me so much is not the excess price that we were not told about (because I definitely saw on their site that a "gel mani" should be $42). It's because this wrongly sold gel mani lasted less than EIGHT days later (on 11/30/19), I completely lost paint on an entire nail and have major chipping. I've been doing gel polish every 3 weeks for the last 2 years and this was the shortest lasts gel mani I've ever received. And to be fair, looking now I see my one friends "reg mani" was the "detox manicure" which is accurately $35. And somehow the "gel mani's" for me and my other friend must have been a combo of a detox gel mani, which was not on the list. But if a place is going to add one or upcharges, we should be told up front when it was verbally confirmed three times that we wanted a "gel manicure" (once in the phone, once when we first got there, and another time right before we got seated).

Pedicure was a little disappointing. It's a very cute salon/spa and I had an overall nice experience. However, the end results leave something to be desired. My nails and feet look good from a distance but are (literally) a little rough around the edges. At the price (especially since I paid extra for the callus orange peel pedi), arriving home with rough spots/imperfect nails is disappointing! I don't know that I'll be returning. read more

The gal I saw (Katie) was awesome - I give her 5+ stars. So much so, I made my next appointment before I left the salon. Imagine my surprise when I got a call two weeks later confirming an appointment for the next day - apparently, when I had booked they entered my appointment for December versus January. When I explained that I made the appointment for a specific day because I was traveling and didn't have flexibility on adjusting, the response was along the lines of "OK, have a nice day". Loved my service but super disappointed with the lack of care they showed in handling their error. There are a lot of places in town, so I think I will try somewhere else. read more

I had been here once before and had a great experience. That was about a year ago. I went into get a set of gel nails. Everything seemed great, she did the dip method. I went to pay and my total was $65. They called me back and said they didn't use shellac so it should only be $50. But then the nail technician said that it would be an extra $5 for the SHAPE. I asked for almond and apparently that was extra. Then I got home and realized my nails weren't smooth, they weren't straight. She hadn't pushed back my cuticles so it already looks like I have been wearing them for two weeks. I have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. It honestly looks like I did them myself with a kit read more

Requested couples reflexology 30 minute massage through their website portal. They called and confirmed the reflexology but sounded unclear that it was for two of us. We arrived and the desk person had the massage therapists take us back to the room. I discussed the reflexology and the guys were completely surprised. The guys talked for a moment (a bit awkward) and one of them said they were trained in it and the other wasn't. I went out to talk to the front desk and they said they could get another massage therapist available in a few minutes. I then confirmed that the reservation was for 30 minutes as we asked but they had incorrectly put it in for an hour. When we got the other massage therapist switched in, she was great but the therapist I had, who was one of the originals who stated he had been trained in reflexology, felt to me like he may have been, but generally his technique was not particularly relaxing or refined. A few more hiccups than I would have liked and generally a 'miss' for me. read more

Friendly and warm reception at front desk. Aesthetician failed to perform a key component of a signature facial, namely, extractions, on my face, explaining it was not needed despite my statement to the contrary. Extractions were the primary reason for booking the treatment. Manager, through an email, opined that next time I should tell my facialist where to focus her work. I feel the manager could have easily made this right by having another aesthetician analyze my skin - since manager did not take my word for it - to determine if I need extractions. As a matter of principle, I filed a claim with Better Business Bureau, to request a suggested partial refund for the portion of the treatment that I did not receive. BBB advised today that the salon manager/owner has not responded to multiple requests for a response to my claim. read more

It was my first time coming to this nail salon and it was a fantastic experience! The staff was so friendly, professional, and really catered to our needs and requests. I came with my mom who wanted extra work on her heals during her pedicure and not only was she extremely satisfied with the service but she was also sent home with a free sample of a lotion after she voiced how much she enjoyed the lotion's smell when it was being applied to her feet. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a pedicure on Cary St. read more

I took my mom here for Mother's day, and we were very pleased with the excellent service. The woman at the front desk was ultra-helpful and very sweet. I had a 30 minute massage with Nathan, and he was a wonderful massage therapist! I told him about how I injured my calf earlier in the week, and he completely fixed it! I left relaxed and happy, and I will definitely be back! I also really loved how it didn't smell like a nail salon- the fact that they use real towels to dry your hands in the restroom, and actual mugs for water or tea- this was a wonderful environmentally conscious place! Also, my mom and I were given flowers for mother's day by the lovely staff! We definitely were happy customers! read more

I was looking for a place for my daughter and I to have some daddy daughter time and I found this spa online and I wasn't sure what to expect. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. First, I emailed about an appointment and someone replied immediately. They got us right in. When we showed up the place was very clean and the staff was friendly. They got us in on time which is very important to me. The services that we requested were done in a manner that could only be called professional. My daughter is 13 and they treated her like she was the most important customer in the place. I was pleased with the price and the work. I will be coming back and bringing my other daughter and wife as well. read more

I bought a coupon on livingsocial.com for a massage at this spa, and I was a little skeptical because I've bought other coupons in other cities and had them skimp on the services, but this place was amazing! I had a 60 minute swedish massage with hot stone therapy and even though it wasn't a deep tissue the massage therapist definitely worked out a ton of the knots in my shoulders and back, and generally was really meticulous and attentive. They offer great membership deals which makes it super affordable, and the services are fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxing, no TVs or cellphones, just relaxing music. I love this place. I was a client there at least once a month (maybe more frequently) for quite a while. I went in for a basic pedicure today after not being there for a few months. The actual pedicure was wonderful, the technician was professional and attentive as always. However, their basic pedicure went up $16 (from $39 to $55). I was asked when making the appointment if I wanted a basic pedicure, unaware of the price increase. Upon checkout, they told me of the upgrade, that my last appointment was August, and that the price increase had been advertisied within the building. It would have been nice, if they knew that my last appointment was well before the increase, that they would had mentioned that when I made the appointment, so I could make a choice. Not sure I'll be back, I'm sure that there is a market for this, but I'm really just looking for a good, safe, basic pedicure. If I want a "spa" experience, I will probably go elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to this salon a few times. I just recently got a 60 Min swedish massage. It was my first massage and it was pretty nice. I agree with the comments about the front desk lack of friendliness. I also had a Living Social with them and have gone twice. The last time, I was standing at the front desk for some time with my cash in hand, waiting to pay and leave. A woman who a worker there told me was the owner-- was trying to decide when to make her next appointment, checking, changing, rearranging, etc. the schedule with the receptionist. All the while, a paying customer (I) was being totally ignored. When the owner was satisfied with her schedule, the receptionist literally just reached out to take my money--no apology, or verbal exchange, eye contact...nothing. It's hard to tell from just reading this review how shocking this was. Not sure I'll go back for the third and final visit, and definitely would never go back otherwise. read more

I spent many hours at this salon and spa last week for my wedding. I went in on a Thursday with my mother and mother-in--law-to-be for some relaxing time together. We each got the mani-pedi-massage special. They were very accomodating with the manis and pedis, giving us each exactly what we wanted. The massage was about average--very comfortable atmosphere and good technique, but no wow factor. I also had my consultation for my hair and makeup that day. The hair consultation consisted of 3 quick updos to give me different options to start from on the big day. The makeup consultation was a full do. None of the hairstyles were exactly what I was going for, but when I went back on Saturday for the real thing, she nailed it. She wasn't afraid to try out a new technique and start from scratch. She was very creative and professional, and the results were exactly what I wanted. The makeup was also exactly what I wanted, even though I'd given almost no direction. My bridesmaids got mani-pedis that morning, too, and seemed very pleased. I was glad to be able to get all of these services in one place. My bridesmaids and family were treated well. The technicians were all extremely friendly and accommodating. They even opened early to get us out in time for my wedding. I would highly recommend this place for any bride and bridal party. read more

All I can say is: I have been getting Brazilian waxes for 20 years, and this is hands down,…read moreliterally THE best wax I've ever had. When I tell you I feel like a whole seal in the best way, I am not exaggerating! Skn & Wax Bar is in a very cute and clean salon studio on the West side, and the owner, Kendra, has organized and designed it with the cutest decor. On top of that, her space is absolutely spotless. She uses the best products for absolutely everything, from the wax down to the table cover + draping cloths. Kendra is incredibly kind + personable, the type of person who immediately makes you feel comfortable. I'm an extroverted person who doesn't necessarily struggle with timidity, but still, she has the kind of personality that I imagine makes even shy or withdrawn people very comfortable--she's just naturally sweet and kind with a positive and joyful disposition. I went here not having been waxed in over six months, so you can imagine what we were working with. Cut to my shock going from 'literally cannot live like this one more day' to 'OMG this is the best wax of my life' within 30m. Kendra was *extremely* detail-oriented and made sure she left nothing behind. It wasn't a super fast wax, and in fact it took some time (about 35-40m , realistically), but I've had plenty of fast waxes in my life only to get home later and find lots of little hairs still hanging around. Not this time! I knew it looked and felt good when I left, but it wasn't until later when I was at home showering that I realized that, perhaps for the first time in my two decades of waxing, I was really, truly, completely bare. I can't tell you how clean and amazing it feels! As for pain, which I see as collateral damage, but I totally understand is the dealbreaker for many people: Kendra has a great method that actually protects you from excessive pain, even in the tenderest of spots. She's also very cautious to instruct you to take a deep inhale when she knows it will be more harsh, which helps tremendously. Overall, it barely hurt at all, and I definitely had NO lingering pain when I left (which is not always the story with waxing). Kendra has a client for life in me. I can't recommend her services enough. Just GO and tell her I sent you:)

I'm new to the area and decided to give this place a try, as my skin hasn't been at its best recently. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Shia. From the very beginning of the session I could tell she was brilliant just from the questions she asked me. Her knowledge of cosmetic skin disorders and their treatment outweighs most, if not all, of the dermatologists I've seen. As a physician myself, I like to think I'm good at assessing this. Shia explained that although my skin type wasn't right for "granular exfoliation" (what I'd received in other facials in the past that I had bad reactions to), I was a great candidate for microdermabrasion. She used this treatment along with quite a few others, always being attentive to how my skin was responding. She gave me advice on what skincare regimen would work for my skin. I can tell my skin is already looking better (less than 24hrs later), and I'm excited to continue with Shia monthly for as long as I live in this area! Already referred a friend to her as well. Go. Totally forgot to update my first review i made. Yes, this happened a year ago but i still refused to go back after this incident and people should be aware of the situation i went through. They have you leave a review in order to recieve a discount but they did not let me use the discount until the next time i came back. Fine. The next day I woke up and it was PAINFUL to walk and i was in tears with how painful my big toe was. I went to the doctor and tell her i just had gotten a pedicure and she told me that it was an infection from the salon cutting the skin around my nail. As someone with an auto immune disorder infections are pretty serious. After a weeks of arguing the salon to receive a refund for my services because they didn't believe me, had to have a doctors note sent to them saying that this happened because of the nail being cut too short, and they still argued with me saying that because i didn't flinch and scream out in pain when the technician sprayed ALCOHOL on my nails between steps that this couldn't of been their fault! I replied reminding them that i am an adult who is respectful in public environments and this shouldn't be the sign that your technician cut my skin. After a few weeks i was FINALLY able to receive my refund. **If you feel like your technician has cut your skin, tell them and a manager IMMEDIATELY because this was definitely a long process to get it fixed and i have been terrified to get another pedicure from any salon since this incident. read more

I have been to Perception Organic Spa multiple times and my experiences there have ALWAYS been wonderful! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting - you feel right at home instantly! When you walk in you will be pleasantly surprised by how cozy and lovely it is. Everyone who works there is also incredible - so helpful, thoughtful, good hearted, and kind. They take the time to connect with you and make sure you have the best possible experience while you're there. Also, the work they do exceeds my expectations every time! I have had a pedicure done by Chloe, a massage done by Jamila, and dip nails done by Ro - each one of them are true artists! My pedicure with Chloe was fantastic and the polish lasted longer than any pedicure I have ever gotten! My massage with Jamila was incredibly relaxing and just what I needed to unwind after a stressful week! And my dip nails with Ro - I can't say enough about how impressed I was with Ro's work! I was in awe the entire time because I was so amazed with his skill and attention to detail! Beautiful work all around! I am always thrilled about my time spent at Perception Organic Spa and I look forward to going back again very soon! Definitely check it out for yourself - you will LOVE it! read more

Don't let the nail technician cut all of the skin on your fingers off. I didn't realize until it was too late and there was a big pile of skin in the technicians nippers after she cut all of my cuticles off and tons of skin on the sides of my fingers. There was some burning when she applied alcohol and then later that night my fingers were sore and very red. I took an ibuprofen, applied some neosporin and emailed the salon later that night to inform them that I was having adverse reactions to the manicure. Their response: an apology, an insistence that I should allow my cuticles and tons of finger skin to be removed in the future or tell the technician not do this---and then they added a note that they were cancelling our 3 pedicure appointments next month (I took two friends with me who also had appointments and we were hoping to make it a regular monthly event). My objective was to let them know about the skin issues so this might not happen to other people (I didn't ask for a refund - I simply stated the fact that I was having a lot of pain as a result of a service they provided)- and they rewarded me by cancelling my appointments for me and my friends. read more

Just what I needed! Awesome atmosphere, products, and people! From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with kindness and respect. I started my visit with a relaxing massage by Elizabeth who focused on the areas that give me the most pain and even demonstrated ways to alleviate the pain at home. She was firm and purposeful with her movements and I was completely relaxed by the end of my 50 minute session I then met up with Thi (pronounced "T") for my pedicure. She was very helpful in deciding which pedicure would suit me best. Ultimately deciding on the de-stress pedicure, Thi worked her magic on my tired, worn feet. The homemade, natural yogurt mask paired with the warming booties created a sensation like no other. The foot and calf massage was excellent in terms of quality and duration. Thi also did my French manicure and my nails have never looked so healthy and my hands have never felt so soft. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Richmond. read more

Thank you Yelp for helping me finding this little gem!!! I took my best friend here for her birthday yesterday and we both thoroughly enjoyed our experiences. We got the Special Touch Day package and we left the place feeling pampered, relax, and refresh. The massage therapists (Slavi & Elisabeth) and the nail technicians (Jennifer & Kim) were super attentive and friendly. I must also mention the decor of this place because it effuses style and dedication. Every single corner of this spa has its own charm and you can tell someone puts effort in creating this calm and cozy retreat. I also like the absent of the typical chemical smell of a nail salon as they use organic products. I feel better for getting my nails done here as I know the products is healthier for me and the nail technicians. I will definitely come back again! read more

I'm not one to splurge on spa treatments but this spa changed my mind. I love this spa and look forward to my monthly massage with Liz and manicure. All of the staff are awesome and really can't have a preference of one over the other. The facials are the best in town. Instead of leaving with your face all picked and blotchy, you actually get immediate results; very healing and of course customized to your face's needs. Bonus since it's organic, they use fruit and it smells soon good. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this even though that's usually my go to response. They are all so laid back and chill, not stuck up or snooty like some places. I can't recommend this place more highly! read more

What a waste of time and money. This spa claims they're organic but they aren't. They are only partly organic. So they kind of trick you into believing everything is organic. Sent my wife who is a health conscious person and she was really upset at her service. The service was sub par and the prices are extreme for what you get. You're better off going to other places. While we were there, they gave us a free keychain and gift for the grand opening. Not sure if you can expect the same post-grand opening. This is definitely going to be our new spot to get our nails done. Worth checking out for sure!

However, I can also trust Lily's for a basic nail service. Manicures and pedicures are their specialty I would say. I have done acrylic and dip too, which I've been pleased with but they are not the location to go to for some of the more elaborate nail art/designs and, that's okay. They know their lane. Overall the location is convenient, the prices are fair, they have a variety of colors to choose from and 9x out of 10, they can usually squeeze me in without an appointment any time I pop in!

This is very expensive in my opinion and the shape was not sharp, she used clear acrylic instead of light pink so you can see right through my to my nail and all the calcium deposits also something pink was left under the nail so you can see that as well. The black from the French tip was also left on the top part of my nail and fingers. There was not enough coats of black as well so in the light it looks splotchy. My toes turned out good but not even 2 weeks after I got them done they are chipped as well as one of my finger nails. The lady doing my nails also kept telling me my toe nails were too short over and over again it was really weird. I certainly will not be going back.

I chalked it up to him maybe having a bad day and forgot about it. One other woman was working and she took the next pedicure that came in shortly after me. My pedicure was pretty bad overall: rough and fast. Part of my service included callous removal, which he forgot about. The service is listed on the menu as a 45 minute service -- I was on the chair for less than 30 minutes. It was like he couldn't wait to get me out of there fast enough, and I, in turn, couldn't wait to leave, either. I was loyal to this place for its convenience and otherwise good pedicures, but feel they on a downhill slide in both quality and cleanliness.

I'd definitely come back, though I'm not often in the Richmond area. While I got natural nails with tip extensions this time around, they have a large color variety so It'd be fun to get something colorful or shiny next time.
