***Update: Finally made a trip to Savannah and went by Perc. I have to say that we had a great time sitting in their shop/warehouse, loved the atmosphere. I can see how it can get crowded quick, but it's worth waiting for a seat. I will gladly go here again the next time we are in town. I have never been to this place in person, however my husband found this gem while on a tdy. I am a french press/grind fresh daily/ black coffee snob, and this coffee is what I look forward to every morning. The flavors just make my soul sohappy. We have since been ordering from across the country and absolutely love this coffee. He just received his shipment overseas that you sent, he is so thrilled. I just wanted to thank you so much. Great place to meet and chat! I had a latte that was very well balanced. It's a bit loud so not completely ideal for studying.

If you want to have the real coffee experience, this is the place to go. I got the cold nitro brew, best one ever and espresso, great as well. They don't have a lot of food options, just a few varieties of donuts. I tried the hazelnut donut and it was delicious. The guy behind the counter answered all my questions I had about the different types and styles of coffee. They sell coffee beans and their swag too here. I like the wooden decor of the place. Its huge but mostly occupied by the kegs of coffee and other equipment. Not located in the popular areas in downtown but I still will be back here sometime in future. read more

After a rather unremarkable lunch at a yelp-recommended place, I headed out to find some good coffee for the road. This looked promising and thankfully it did not disappoint. It's a huge operation with roastery, office desks, and small area for sitting down. Open space, industrial look, and cool atmosphere. I ordered espresso + milk 4oz option (any espresso+milk is $4, 2-8oz) and a brewed coffee ($3). I also got a bag of their espresso beans (juggernaut) for my espresso machine at home. My espresso+milk was very good - complex with bright fruitiness, but not unpleasantly acidic. Not overly roasted or smoky, either. I like espresso that's a little more mellow, but this is an excellent blend. I made some macchiatos and cappuccinos at home with their espresso blend beans, and I get beautiful crema and the bright yet complex flavor I had at the store. Coffee was good but not as good as the espresso. People who work there are nice and relaxed. Overall a very cool place. I will definitely check back again when I return to Savannah. I'll probably try their pour over next time. Tip: It's situated in an unlikely residential area for a hip coffee roastery, and it's rather hard to see the sign. Sign is painted on the wall of a red brick building. Also the entrance is small compared to the big building they occupy. read more

I came again and had a plain coffee and I was right - it's more sour than bitter. So unfortunately not the right place for me. I've also had an everything croissant and that was delicious. I had to try this one, as I really like good coffee. The place itself is very cool. While you enjoy your caffeine you can watch the staff roasting, packing and working on orders and of course watch them making coffee. I've had a cappuccino with almond milk and I have to say it wasn't my favorite. Maybe it's it was the coffee or the roast or.... I'm mir on the bitter side of flavor and this one tasted a bit more on the sour side. I think their coffee has a good quality but it's just not the one for me. Go try yourself. Great Industrial vibe. Not a lot of foot traffic since this location is off the tourist track. Unique setting with old industrial tables and counters. Fantastic coffee that I think is roasted on site. Be aware they don't serve any food or treats but at least 4 customers brought their own lunch. They may have been employees. The Kenya Kianderi which grabbed my attention. Actually a lot of their roast grabbed my attention as I like African beans and they had a lot to choose from. AMAZING. We ordered espresso drinks (2 cortados and 1 cappuccino) and took home 2 bags of single origin coffee. Everything was fantastic! Their espresso (juggernaut) is some of the best I've had, bright and full yet tastes great with steamed milk! All of the milk was steamed to the perfect temperature (around 150), had great texture, and was poured well with some good looking latte art! We grabbed a bag of both Brazilian and Guatemalan coffee and it has been coming out awesome...the Brazil is nice and chocolatey and nutty while the Guatemalan is nice and bright but evenly balanced. Atmosphere is veeeeery neat...the open concept floor plan showcases the inner-workings of their roastery while you enjoy a great cup of coffee, which is excellently prepared by the friendly and attentive staff. Add this to your Must see/do in Savannah list. You'll get to see where the coffee for most of Savannah's coffee shops and restaurants is birthed plus they have Auspicious baking goods. Their coffee menu is like a cocktail menu but with cold brew, espresso, etc. so keep that in mind when ordering. For instance, the Cold Fashioned is crafted after an old fashioned so you're not getting 16 oz iced beverages but a smaller handcrafted cocktail -like coffee drink that's super good and super strong (no alcohol). It's a fun and lovely environment where you'll watch the coffee get packaged and there some good seating. I'd define the vibe as very hipster / trendy. Street parking is available. I can see why good times is a best seller and thoroughly enjoyed the lavender essence (can't find that much in Ohio!). My morning jacket was fruity-er than we had expected (thought walnut would be the dominant added flavor) and hit us as being too sweet based on our preferences-please note this was fixed when we had an extra shot added to make the 'coffee' more foreword. PERC is in a different sort of location in Savannah, tucked away in a warehouse area. The inside is both a cafe and the roaster. The menu is very small and limited but the few coffee drinks they do, they do well. As strange as it sounds, go for the Espresso Tonic drink if you want to get caffeinated and feel refreshed at the same time. I would never think to combine espresso, tonic and orange zest but somehow it works like magic. Delicious! read more
