We noticed it the last time we were in the area and thought it was worth a visit. We were late afternoon so there was plenty of seats. Nice space and plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and happy to see us. Lots of windows equals lots of sun. Very big space. Bar, booth and table seating. Great menu and a nice variety of seafood and and non-seafood options. We ordered the fried green beans to give them a try. Then fish tacos and fried chicken sandwich. Though there was not much of a crowd it took a little time before the meal arrived. It was a nice meal. The fish tacos were seasoned nicely and it was pretty good. The friend chicken sandwich looked like fish based on the batter but was a land animal for sure. Went out for a ride Passed this place and turned around and went in, very nice place! Plenty of seating inside and out! Inside has a mixture of High-tops and low-tops! We chose to sit out side. Very nice clean and roomy seating area. We looked over the menu and ordered , I had the Floatation drink in a bucket! Rum based and very good! We chose The spicy shrimp and Clam chowder as apps. Then I had the Grilled Salmon with rice and asparagus! It was very delicious. Husband had the choose 2 platter of scallops shrimp w/ fries. He said that it was very good and fresh as well. I've had many wonderful meals here; sadly, tonight wasn't one of them. My husband was served his drink immediately after we ordered, the server forgot mine. My drink arrived with our appetizer, which was served with our main course. Hmmmm...what's the point in having an appetizer then, right? After reading some of the other reviews about the food being average, the decor being odd, ( not liking the cement floors) I thought I'd better try this place myself. Well folks, it was outstanding, the prices are a cpl of bucks higher then some of the other places in the area, it's a brand new place, in a brand new plaza, I'm sure the owner has a sizable note to cover... but then the food arrived.... The portions were huge, I got the fried shrimp dinner $18.50, there was definitely a pound of shrimp, the batter was light and crispy, the shrimp were juicy and perfectly cooked, the fries were lightly browned, crisp, perfect amount of salt and the coleslaw was fresh and delicious. My super hot wife got the chicken tender dinner with a side Caesar, again, the plate was over flowing, expertly fried, she gave it two thumbs up while trying to imitate Joey Chestnuts. Loved the salad, tendies and fries, wasn't a fan of the honey mustard dipping sauce. Service wasn't awesome as we sat at a high top and the bar tender had six tables plus people at the bar so we waited a bit too long for the bill but, see how I still rate them 5 stars people?? Learn from me... the food was outstanding, the atmosphere was very nice, clean, inviting... you don't rate a place 2 or 3 stars because you had to wait a bit.... Very good food! Service was good as well. We ordered happy hour appetizers of fried pickles, tasty, spicy shrimp (were buffalo shrimp) and 4 buffalo wings. For dinner, we got a fried chicken sandwich (it was huge!!), lobster rolls (New Brunswick style) and market fresh special of salmon (with a side Caesar salad which was very good and huge!!). Everything was good until the bill came and several of the items rang in incorrectly, it was over $10 over what it should have been! Obviously, things are a little weird with the pandemic, but I have gone here (3) times since they opened. Never had a bad experience. One of the visits was with family for my birthday. No one was dissatisfied! They have a dessert with blueberry, somewhat like apple crisp, which was to die for! I was already full from the INCREDIBLE lobster mac & cheese, but I couldn't stop taking bites! The bar area is nice to hang out at. They have drink specials on a regular basis. They offer fresh oysters on the half shell (pricey as average at most places) but worth it! I will continue to come here, whether just for drinks & apps or a full dinner. We were here on a weeknight and there were not many people there it was later though, towards closing. My husband had a local beer on draft and I had a fantastic gin cocktail called the strawberry smash, it was fruity and Summery and went perfectly with our food. We started out with the warm pretzel appetizer which was served in the most creative way a large pretzel could be. The pretzel itself was delicious very fresh and came with three different dipping sauces. Delicious! I had the lobster roll and my husband had a clam roll. These rolls were on POINT! Fresh, tender, lightly fried clams served on a grilled, buttered roll. My lobster tasted like it had just been prepared and was very fresh and tender, all knuckle and claw meat -which in my opinion is the best. I upgraded my fries to onion rings and they were amazing. The restaurant is open and inviting, and extremely clean. High ceilings and lots of windows, but they also have a good sized outdoor dining spot. Everyone we interacted with with friendly and helpful and even though they were close to closing they made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. It's Columbus Day weekend and our usual preferred seafood places are closed. Okay, we live in New England so we'll go for a little ride to get seafood. We've been wanting to try Pepper's Landing so we went there. Saturday night and it seemed a bit quiet. They had a pretty good singer/guitar player singing Tom Petty and Harry Chapin songs. Nice! We checked the menus online so we knew what we wanted. Our waitress Hannah, was very welcoming and super sweet. She was attentive and hard working. We ordered our seafood and a bowl of delicious haddock chowder but it was so big, I said we should have asked for two spoons! Hannah heard and brought another spoon! The food came and the platter was huge! I ordered my favorite haddock and scallop combo with chips. The food was delicious and we have a new favorite seafood restaurant! Went there yesterday for lunch with a few friends. Although the service was fine, waitress was very attentive, the food took forever to come out. Was not busy at all. My friend and I each got the steamed clams, and they were loaded with sand. There was so much grit and sand in those clams, the bottoms of our bowls was covered with sand. Just about every clam had sand in it. I was feeling sand and grit in my mouth the rest of the day. Don't get me wrong, everyone else in our party enjoyed their meal, and loved their food. When I said something to our server, she was not surprised, and stated that they were receiving complaints all last week of the clams being gritty and Sandy. Hence the reason why I gave it two stars, if they had that many complaints the prior week, the problem should've been rectified. Somebody needs to teach them how to prepare the clams. read more

The smoked bluefish plate was delicious so good that we contemplated getting one to go and stopping on the way home to try it again. The mussels not so great seemed a little over cooked and flavorless. The baked haddock was cooked perfectly and delicious could not stop the fork for going in for another bite. I had a lobster roll that was only dressed with butter ( my choice not a fan of mayonnaise which they did offer) I was a little disappointed not with the lobster, wish it had more, my spouse had a haddock boat which was a generous piece, not over breaded which we both liked. The service was amazing, cudos to the waite staff . We will return. The menu is varied & they do offer other items that are not fish based. Decided to try the new restaurant in town, so went here with my son and daughter-in-law for dinner tonight. Being a new building everything was very clean the tables were spaced apart because of the pandemic. My son and I both ordered lobster rolls, but different varieties. Both lobster rolls were served in hotdog buns with a good deal of lobster meat included. Neither of us were overly impressed with the taste as it was nothing special. My side was potato chips which were fairly flavorless. My sons' french fries were lukewarm at best. The outdoor patio is lovely - cafe lights, patio heaters, umbrellas. Well behaved dogs happily escorted their people to lunch outside. Tables are spaced out just enough so each party has enough privacy. The food was all excellent. It's not cheap, but we considered it appropriate due to the high quality, fresh ingredients in a upscale setting with welcoming service. They have an excellent selection of beverages - including craft beers, cocktails, mocktails, and wines. The smoked bluefish appetizer was amazing, sort of like a seafood charcuterie plate where you could mix & match your toppings for the perfectly toasted bread that comes with it. The Caesar salad with salmon added was very fresh and the salmon was perfectly cooked and a good size. The Kennebunkport-style lobster roll was very good and a fun take on lobster rolls, although I got a little too much Cajun seasoning in the bottom of the roll, it still tasted great with lots of nice lobster pieces! read more
