We hired the services of Peppermint Mills this past weekend for our daughter's first birthday party and we are so pleased to have made that decision over other potential vendors. We went with the combo package - face painting and balloon twisting activities for our event since there were over 25 kids with an age range of 1 year to 13 years. Weni selected Elizabeth Lizadoodle as our artist and she was simply great! She arrived on time, was very friendly, and within a few minutes started creating designs that simply awed one and all present. Very creative indeed! After she was done with the face painting for all the kids, she started with balloon twisting and I started seeing Cinderella, frogs, flowers, lady bugs and some other impressive characters - in the hands of some very happy kids who had their faces painted in some amazing designs. My favorite was the iron-man! This certainly has made our event a memorable one. I should also add that Elizabeth stayed over the reserved time and made sure that no one left disappointed. Weni has also been very prompt and courteous in replying to my emails and phone calls. I wish her and Peppermint Mills continued success. read more

We just used Peppermint Mill at our daughter's 5th birthday party. Weni is the most incredibly talented artist. Each kid's paint looked like a work of art. We had about 40 kids and she handled them all by herself in the most calm, relaxed and organized manner. In addition to the painting, she also made some balloons. We used Peppermint Mill for our daughter's 7th birthday party (which had about 40 kids). We got their information from a friend who had seen one of their balloon artists at a party. I dealt with Weni, who was nothing short of amazing to work with. She was attentive and informative in every correspondence we had (either over the phone or via email). She made sure to provide us with artists that were appropriate for seven year old kids - they were fun, friendly and had constant smiles on their faces. Tattoos: We had Tenny do airbrush tattoos for the party. She was fantastic. She was on time, sweet with the kids, extremely patient when they were making their decisions from all the choices of tattoos and quite wonderful to work with. We would definitely use Tenny again for another party. Balloons: We had Jasmine do balloons for the party. I know now why they are called WOW balloons. The stuff she came up for the kids with was truly amazing. One balloon design was more impressive than the next. From ninjas to purses to giraffes to light up head bands with feathers, Jasmine is sure to WOW anyone (young or old) with her creations. She was so kind and sweet with all of the kids and had endless patience with their choices. We can't wait to have another birthday party so we can have Jasmine and her amazing creations as a part of it. I had to plan the party on short notice (because life), but we were able to pull off an amazing party and thanks to Weni and Peppermint Mill, it was a hit! Collette was our artist and she was amazing! Our son loves flamingos and she was able to twist a balloon into a flamingo headpiece for him and all the kids were delighted by her fantastic balloon designs and face painting skills. She made a balloon butterfly wings that my niece could wear! And she had jewels for princess crowns! I wish I had all the photos of the kids, but don't want to post other people's children online. I went to a party yesterday that had Peppermint Mill Face Painting. What a treat! Weni, the artist, makes beautiful designs--everything from rainbows, to Spiderman, to tigers and more. My daughters are not even 3, so they had their arms painted instead of their faces, but they were very happy with their designs. Weni is wonderfully patient with all of the kids and parents, too. She has a great system for making sure everyone gets a turn without waiting around, and her paints are of very high quality. I was disappointed to find that Collette was unable to attend my son's 3rd bday party but was assured by Weni that Elizabeth was equally talented. Elizabeth was amazing! We had Elizabeth on my son's first birthday party and everyone loved her! Her work is unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm used to the simple balloon twisting (swords, poodle, monkey, the usual) and face painting (smiley faces, simple flowers, etc) that I often see at kids' parties. Her art is absolutely amazing (it pretty much blew our minds). We had an under-the-sea themed party and she made Mermaids for our little girls (complete with facial features and a bra lol!). She was able to make some of the girls look like fairies with her face painting. Our adults were so amazed that some also requested for balloons for themselves! I had one friend who asked for a Pickachu and she made a darn good one. Great personality and very professional, I highly recommend her and Peppermint Mill! Wow - hire them. Seriously. I had Therese from Peppermint Mill at my daughter's back to school party, and she blew everyone away with her artistic painting and tattoos. She painted on the kids' faces and on their arms, and added glitter for effect. It was awesome - we had butterflies, dolphins, pirates... I mean, the kids were in awe and the parents were equally thrilled. Plus, Therese worked fast and got through all the kids and was doing seconds and thirds. Simply A-MAZING!! I called Weni just two weeks before my daughter's fourth birthday and she was able to get an artist reserved for us. I was very behind on getting the contract back to her but she saved the artist and was extremely easy/kind to deal with. The artist Denise was out of this world! The parents were blown away and couldn't believe how talented she was. Our party had about twelve girls and each face painting was gorgeous and unique. My daughter's was more extravagant than I have ever seen (gems and all) and she felt like a true princess. Denise even brought along her son to do glitter tattoos as a bonus since our party was in the middle of two others that were using his service. He was kind enough to do tattoos on the sibling boys who had come for no extra charge. The time spent on the painting seemed reasonable considering how elaborate they were but I was bummed that there wasn't more time for the hair feathers I had also ordered- perhaps for us moms? It didn't really matter as Denise stayed late to make sure my daughter got one and I wouldn't have wanted to change a thing about the face painting. It was perfect. read more
