So many delectable condiments (pickles, mustard, crackers, bread, butter, sardines, beautiful dish towels, wooden charcuterie boards, candles, chocolates, salamis and so much more. Today we received a tasting of gouda, blue and goat cheeses; yum! Free Gouda samples (nice sized chunks too), for opening day weekend. These owners are serious about their cheese, but not very friendly, at least from what I experienced. "I would like to sample one of these blues, please." "Nope, we don't have that one available for sampling." How would I be able to tell if I like it; I asked. Five different blue cheeses to choose from, what makes them different from one another, I asked. The male owner, in a condescending tone; "What exactly are you wanting to know? Do you want to know the intensity of the blue?" "Um, yeah; I guess." The owner responds, this one is soaked in a liquor (so, I'm thinking; ooh, I wanna try that one). I can't though, it's wrapped and it's not a cheese already out, for sampling. "What about the other blue cheeses, what are they like?" Right now, my voice is quavering; is it not okay to ask what the cheese tastes like? Now I'm reminiscing about Di Bruno Brothers cheese shop, in Little Italy Philadelphia, PA. They have an entire store of cheese and the personnel behind the massive counter, allows you to sample, till your hearts content, gushing about their cheeses and inquiring how you like the cheese. It's a full on cheesy experience. That experience was glorious, this was .. different. Though I must admit, the shop's layout, offerings, are all very tempting - to include those chocolate croissants, behind their glass case. According to one of the employees, some cheeses will be a constant fixture in this store, but as the seasons change, so will some of their other offerings. Sadly, not every cheese was available to sample, but co-workers will allow samples of whatever was ready that day. Do note that the cheese wrapped for sale, cannot be cut into smaller slices and re-wrapped, like some other cheese shops. Requesting a smaller portion, may not be done. I say this because, I may need only a specific amount for a recipe or to munch on, with one of your many crackers to choose among. Good cheese is expensive. I was also looking for some fresh baguettes, but the only bread available were in their freezer. Owners aside, Lititz Cheese Shop staff were helpful and friendly. Whatever you asked of them, they obliged and provided cheese knowledge.

The staff is what makes this place so special. Wide selection of frozen meats, cheeses, chips and accoutrements. Prices are a little high, but well worth the experience and the friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit.

Oh man, where to start - I love this place!! If you're going on a picnic or are out and about and want some good, quick grub; this is your place. My hubby got a cold cut, packed with fresh veg, meat, cheese; a half was enough to fill his tummy for the rest of the day. In the center of the store (it's kinda cramped - I advise going on a week day), there are watermelons (yellow/red), peaches, plums, strawberries, corn on the cob and to your immediate left, popcorn/snacks, followed by a frozen section (mashed potatoes, pot pies, casseroles, soups, creamed chipped beef, gravy...), follow that around to a refrigerated section (salads, pickles, puddings, sandwiches...), then there's the grill (hot/cold sandwiches, hotdogs, chips); I forgot about the cookies, shoo fly pies and there's a deli - SEE; this is why you absolutely must make this a stop by. There are tables outside, plenty of room to stretch, relax and eat.

It is a beautiful farm filled with trees, plants, succulents... anything you need for your flower/plant needs. But it is a secret gem that hides the most amazing sandwich shop in the area. It is filled with fresh bread, baked goods and most amazing pies, fresh fruit and vegetables. But all of it hides this amazing sandwich shop that has one of the best Philly Cheese Steaks. It is gooey with melted cheese and if you ask for chopped hot peppers... you can get the perfect blend of banana peppers and jalapeño peppers to get the kick! You don't want to miss this store if you are in the area! We stayed in a nearby Airbnb tiny home. You can't beat the kind attentive service and the care by which they make every sandwich. Everything is so fresh and well made! No indoor seating... so be ready for the heat if you plan to eat here.
