I don't know why I…read morehaven't posted a review before, but I have yet to get a bad meal in the years we've gone there. My all- time favorite item is the banana bread pancakes. The pancakes are huge, with mashed bananas in the batter and a heap of candied walnuts on top. It literally CANNOT be any better. I probably have these pancakes 90% of the time I eat here, because I love them so much. I have had a number of their other breakfasts (All American Breakfast, Chicken fried steak, etc.) and they were great. I am just addicted to the Banana Bread Pancakes. My wife has had many of their other items, and she is always very happy with her selections. I just don't believe there is a bad selection on their entire menu. The owners (Gary and Lorraine (sp?) are extremely friendly, as are the rest of their staff. It is always an enjoyable experience eating there. All in all, this is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch. We probably would go there even more often, but sometimes we think about it too late in the day (they are only open until 2pm).

Samantha was our bartender/server the first time and she was knowledgeable about the menu and took care of us promptly. Last night, I sat at the bar where Taylor & trainee Alberto were kind and took good care of me. Full transparency, we exclusively sit at the bar or in the bar area like all the time. Leaving a review because I read some others that weren't great and I think people are just weird. Ordering a burger medium rare is in fact strange and they probably couldn't take a joke, lol. Aubrey's does not have a limited menu as they have a variety of options in each category and literally like 14 sides to choose from. Cheaper than J Alexander's, people just like to complain. I work in the service industry as a bartender, and Bar manager so I'm naturally kind of nitpicky about my food service. All in all, Aubrey's rocks and we are new regulars.

The price is a bit out of line 4 scallops for $48 is certainly not fitting for a side and 4 scallops. The salmon for $31 and a cup of salty clam chowder for $6 is really out of line for this restaurant. We have gone here since they opened but the prices have really accelerated. $100 for 2 is really over the top compared to what I could get at Longhorn or other mid to upper restaurants

I was passing through and just looking for a place to eat that wasn't fast food. We decided to stop…read morein here and we were not disappointed! First of all the atmosphere is great. The waitress was amazing! And the food was spectacular! The fried chicken club is hands down the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I was a little iffy about pimento cheese, especially on a chicken sandwich, it seemed a little much since it already had Swiss cheese, which should be all it needs. But it not only worked, it put the sandwich over the top! The fries are thin and salty and have a slight sweetness to them that makes them crave-able. All said this is an amazing restaurant and if I'm ever traveling through again I'll make a point of eating here again!!

The fish and chips are excellent, the fried Brussels sprouts are a must-order, and I highly recommend the braised pork belly. It's absolutely delicious. My husband is obsessed with the elk burger and orders it every single time we visit. The only downside is the service can be very inconsistent. We've had visits with amazing servers who were attentive and provided excellent customer service. Other times, we've felt completely forgotten, no water refills, no check-ins, and long waits for basic things. If Birdsong Social could provide more consistent service, it would easily be one of our favorite restaurants. The food keeps us coming back, but your dining experience may depend on who is serving you that day. Love the ambiance, have enough space in between tables.

When we first moved to Tennessee, our realtor told us that if you're looking for a classic lunch…read morespot in Columbia, you've got to try "Jumbo House". Was that a good recommendation? Let's first start by acknowledging what Jumbo House is NOT: It's fair to say, Jumbo House is not for everybody. This is not your $15 dollar gourmet burger eatery that you can order from an app. It is not the cleanest or shiniest establishment. But I would argue that it intentionally offers something different to its patrons. So let's talk about what Jumbo House is though: Jumbo House is a local mom and pop dive in the heart of Columbia that offers your typical fast food fare such as burgers, fries, nuggets, corndogs and more. It's priced reasonably when compared to the average drive-thru chains. Its aesthetics reminds its guests of a simpler time. It is the smell of deep-frier oils in the air and a greasy bag of fried food to share with friends and family. It's a beloved spot for some and a misunderstood spot by others. Ultimately, I say that our realtor was right and that everyone living in or passing through Columbia should experience it at least once. Those who know what they are signing up for when they visit Jumbo House are likely in for a good time. So, go grab yourself a Johnny Burger, hot fries and a cold drink and become a true Colombian.

My lady being from the New Orleans area was thoroughly impressed. Felt like home said she. Really can't say enough good about the place. Especially when getting the bill for the meal served on a hymnal! There's also this magnificent stained glass window imported from Italy depicting the conversion of ST. Paul. in the banquet area. We will definitely be making this place a regular stop! PS: The Bourbon drinks are spectacular too.

Since we weren't super hungry, we ordered one appetizer, a burger, and a dessert. The food was all beautifully presented but left us a little unimpressed. 3 of the 4 deviled eggs were more sweet than savory. I would personally prefer if the ratio were reversed. The burger was good, but nothing exceptional. The carrot cake was visually impressive, but didn't have as much spice as I would prefer. Will I come back? Yes...the drinks alone would keep this spot on my radar. I also want to try the baked gruyère and the chicken pot pie. I will return for another shot at the Bourbon Gospel!
