a shelf of barbecue sauces and sauces

This was super cool! Staff was super nice and knowledgeable. I'm not a hot sauce person, but the samples were good as hell. All types of sauces. They have a napalm one that's super duper hot and it's in own fridge. I got a mild one, that will be awesome for my chicken. Love this place, no pressure!

Literally a palace of peppers. Sample anything, but if you're traveling and aren't checking a bag you may have to order online. Don't come if you don't like spicy or sauces.

Pepper Palace touts itself has having every pepper or pepper sauce one would want. So, stopped by assuming I might find piri-piri (also spelled, especially by Spatch as "peri-peri") and also some piquillo or sweet drop Peruvian, but no luck. No only didn't they have it but no one here had even heard of it. Apparently they never been to one of the Spatch Restaurant chains of have ever looked in the varying peppers of Peru, which pretty much being the motherland of peppers, one might think they would have done. However I'm going to downgrade them for these oversights. Overall this Pepper Palace, which is a part of a rapidly growing chain that started off as a kiosk in Wisconsin, is a great place for hot sauces of all kinds and sorts. Its assortment, including many custom blended pepper sauce, is not only amazing but invitingly displayed. And though the staff here had never heard of piri-piri or some of the sweet drops peppers of Peru, they were actually very knowledgeable as well as friendly and polite.

The Pepper Palace on North Market Street in Charleston is a great place to go for all things hot sauces and spicy substances. I really like the variety and selection of different items that they have available and how they have everything organized. This is a fun place to shop and well worth the visit.

THE END hot sauce!!

Spicy, spicy and then blow your mind SPICY HOT SAUCE! Wow!! You need to sign a waiver to try some of this crazy hot sauce! Seriously, my husband tried "The End" hot sauce....he had to sign a waiver first....no kidding. You only get the tip of a toothpick...thats it! DANGER, DANGER!! Carolina Reaper peppers and the hottest form of habenaro peppers to include GHOST PEPPERS! The best thing about Pepper Palace is all of the things you can sample from hit sauce to salsa and queso, each different hot sauce, salsa or queso can be tried with free corn chips!! Water is optional! The guy in the store was super knowledgeable, he helped us find the perfect queso for a memorial day party. You gotta try this place, it's incredible and you will leave with something! I guarantee you will leave with something or one heck of a spicy mouth of something FABULOUS! ****Note or tip*** Don't drink water after these crazy spicy sauces etc....it will make it worse, eat bread!! We loved our experience at the Pepper Palace!!

OMG!!!!! Small shop at the end of the city market. They let you try anything on a chip! (No double dipping please). We tried about 20 sauces, BBQs and salsas. The variety is crazy and they even have one you have to sign a waiver for! I stayed away from that! The store was manned by a single person who was pleasant and very helpful! Quick tip: bring water!!!!!

We discovered this place while walking on the King street and decided to go in. We were surprised and overwhelmed to see so many choices for hot sauce! You can try any hot sauce with the tortilla chips provided and we were in hot sauce heaven. Apart from the hot sauce, they also carry lot of other things - salsas, bbq sauce, drink mixers etc. We ended up getting 3 hot sauces (2 for ourselves and 1 for a gift) and 1 blood mary mix. I chickened out at the time of purchase and ended up getting medium hot sauces, which later didn't feel as hot. The bloody mary mix was okay and won't be buying it again. You should visit this place at least once and stack up on some hot sauces.

Great place to try out hot sauces, marinades, salsas, and anything else you can dip a chip in. They have ghost peanuts that were hot but not as hot as I thought. they number everything 1-10 with 10 being the hottest. The place is organized by categories and easy to walk around without being maliciously molested by staff. An employee introduced himself and gave us the quick rundown and told us to enjoy. This is how I like to shop. My only complaint that if you have hot sauces that maybe a drinking fountain would be beneficial. This is a nice place for men to stop in while their wives slowly meander through the market that took me only 5 minutes to walk through.

We were staying at the Meeting House Inn so were able to easily and leisurely walk to lunch and dinner. Service was excellent, true Southern hospitality, and the restaurant is adorable. Food was amazing, each of the four of us loved our dish and tasted each others as well: - shrimp and grits - 5/5, plentiful and plump shrimp with a flavorful sauce over creamy grits. This was not my dish so I only got a taste and next time we go back I'm going to get this for myself! - grilled salmon sald - 5*5, arugula, couscous, dried fruit, pine nuts, feta, lemon shallot vinaigrette (this dressing is so delicoius! I want the recipe!), two of us ordered this one and again, i got a bite and want to order this for myself next time (see the problem here?) The combination of flavors and textures was amazing. Rave reviews from all. - scallops or was it special flounder - 4/5, I can't even remember what I ordered and the fact that I cannot quite remember it but distinctly remember my friends' lunches means I did not order the right dish! It was solid but not something to write home about (or on Yelp about) - corn muffins - 5*5, i'm pretty sure the corn muffins came as the "bread" for the table and they were so yummy! Our server heard me rave about the not too sweet, moist yet with a nice crumb muffins, and asked if I wanted the recipe, to which I said Yes! I look forward to going back next time I'm in Charleston!

We got there just before 6 PM, and although the restaurant was pretty full, they told us they'd try to seat us outside due to our party size. That worked perfectly since they had heaters going. They quoted us a 45-minute wait, but it ended up being closer to 15 minutes -- a great surprise. The service was seriously outstanding. I have zero complaints. Everyone was so personable and attentive. For appetizers, the beef carpaccio was my favorite. For entrées, we ordered the pork chop, tuna, duck, and lamb -- and we all shared bites. Everything was delicious. My pork chop did come out a little dry, but when I mentioned it, our waitress didn't hesitate at all. She immediately took it back and insisted on bringing a new one, making me feel completely comfortable about saying something. While I waited, she brought me a complimentary soup, which was such a thoughtful touch, and the replacement came out quickly. The manager personally brought out the new dish and waited while I cut into it to make sure it was perfect. She even came back later to check again. That level of attention to detail really stood out. To top it off, they brought out dessert and a round of champagne for the table. I wasn't drinking, and they noticed -- so they brought me a mocktail without me even asking. That kind of attentiveness is rare. The inside looked beautiful, and I'd love to sit inside next time to experience the full vibe, but outside was perfect -- not too cold, not windy, and overall just a great atmosphere. Overall, one of the best service experiences I've had in a long time. Highly recommend.

To start Abigail, our waitress, was attentive, helpful, super sweet and just about the best waitress I have ever had. My wife and I ordered a round of cocktails, expecting the usual great description with subsequent lack luster drinks. Last night was different, midnight bloom which is their take on an old fashioned, but really in a different league; Smooth complex, and satisfying. My wife got the Ruby Ruby which is sort of a pomegranate martini with champagne. Refreshing and vibrant. For appetizers we had the blue crab fritters and the pork belly. The fritters were crispy, light, and full of crab flavor. Virtually no filler. I could have eaten a hundred. The pork belly was crispy, and rich without being too heavy. They also serve it in a white sauce that I was still thinking about the next day. For entrees we got the Roasted grouper and the pork shank. The grouper was maybe a bit overcooked and dry, but the accompanying butter beans stole the show. The were rich, and layered with flavor. I will never see the simple butter bean in the same way ever again. The pork was fall off the bone tender without being dry. The sauce it was served in was a masterpiece. There were hints of apple, berry, cinnamon, and many other notes, I would drink it by the glass if it was available. We split the gelato for dessert. Pure delight. Smooth, bursting with flavor, and leaving you wanting for more. All in all, except for a small misstep with the cook on the grouper a near perfect dinner. I would go there soon because a Michelin star can not be far off, and then getting a table will be a near impossibility.

Dessert: Chocolate Crunch Cake. Our server, Lillian, was really helpful with dietary restrictions and menu recommendations. Thank you for a memorable meal. If the dining room wasn't as loud, this would have been a 5 star review.

Although some dishes are seasonal, these happen to be entrees that are served year-round according to our server Both were quite delicious. The vegetarian plate had a wide variety of veggies -- from mashed potatoes, to wilted spinach, asparagus, green beans, and fried tomato's. There were only two medium pieces of fried tomato so I do wish they put more in the plate but oh well. My partner loved his bouillabaisse and apparently it's the southern rendition of a French dish that is one of their most popular dishes. It has lots of seafood in it. The meal also came with complimentary warm bread, which was nice. The pecan pie was very good, but the crust was kind of hard and there were fewer pecans than I'm used to and more caramel. The ambiance is more formal but people were dressed mostly casual (and chic if I might add). Dim lighting and if you don't want as much noise to carry I would ask for seating in the back because it's noticeably louder in the front. Overall the food is very good and prices are not as expensive for the quality. Our server was great!

Also, this place is huge so they were able to accommodate my friend's post-wedding party (about 20 people) at the last minute and we had a blast.
