This Pepe's is the worst! I will never return. The manager is horrible with customer service, I'm not sure if he doesn't understand or can read English well but he needs to be fired. We order two entrees, a tamales and 2 special prices margaritas. I had a coupon for $10 which was not good on any specials which is understandable so I asked can the margaritas be rung up separately and the waiter said no and went and got the manager. The manager said the coupon cannot be used on the bill because the drinks were on there. I told him to ring them up separately he said no because the coupon said no valid on specials. Liquor wasn't even including in the coupon! Mine you the food was full price. He said in order to take the coupon he has to charge me full price for the margaritas! What sense does that makes? i always get my husband a steak burrito cheese, red sauce ( not a dinner) from here to go. This time it he said it was not good. very little meat , very little cheese and red sauce and not seasoned. My friend was raving about Pepe's at this location for years and I finally was able to try it today. Salsa!!! Omg their chips and salsa are unreal. I could drink that salsa. Man, just add a splash of vodka in that salsa and just drink it up! Like a Bloody Mary. I had a 2 taco lunch with rice and beans. Let me tell you that no where you will get as quality lunch for 8 bucks. NOWHERE! Veggie tacos had so much flavor, I still taste them after a bit. Rice and beans were fantastic as well. Thursday is happy hour for half price margaritas so that's the day to go! Anyhow, the food is a hit or miss because occasionally they skimp on ingredients . This location is quickly approaching being scratched off of our list. We called in our order so we could enjoy a relaxing evening at home. When they rang up our meals, they said the total (with a $5 off coupon) was $33!! Considering that we had each order meals that were about $12 each, we examined the receipt and discovered they had charged us for our meals AND a "Special #2"!?!? When we got the manager involved, he had the cashier give us the difference back in cash, but couldn't even explain what the "Special #2" could be. After we got the money straight, we got our food and left. When we got home, the nightmare continued. My wife's veggie burrito was SMOTHERED in cheese, which she specifically had ordered her meal without. My mini steak burritos were more like micro burritos, even though they were the same cost as a regular burrito, which was twice as much food. When we called the restaurant to inform them of the error with my wife's order, the manager was defensive and claimed we didn't say "no cheese" and the only recourse he offered was a free taco, which we would have had to drive back to the restaurant in Chiberia weather to get. So disappointed with the quality of tacos I received! I ordered my food through uber eats and there was no issue there. I just expected full authentic tacos and I got Taco Bell. I ordered 2 beef tacos, in which I assumed was steak, but no it was a taco they stole from Taco Bell. I also ordered 12 mini chicken tacos with cheese, little did I know the cheese covered the entire 12 tacos. The cheese seemed very plastic. I ordered a chicken nacho and it was saturated in oil. I told my server & he sent "Ricky" to the table. I showed him my plate & he insisted that it was juice from the chicken & cheese. There is one dining room, which gets extremely crowded on Tuesday and Thursday nights ( Half Priced Margarita day)! Take out service can be really slow on those days. Otherwise, service is good. Always treated well, the food is delicious, margaritas are amazing and they just updated the menu. Wednesday is $.99 carry out tacos and Tuesday and Thursdays are 1/2 price margaritas and it can get a little crazy so I'd suggest you come earlier in the day to get the special. This Pepes is a good place to go for margaritas. They're 1/2 off on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The margaritas are done right here, nice and strong. This Pepes is family run and the wait staff are friendly and the place is well run. The food is typical Pepes grub....fajitas, tacos,Mex/American stuff. For real Mexican food you need to go to Mexico anyway. It can get crowded here on the 1/2 price margarita nights and on the weekends so plan accordingly. I'll start by saying I used to come to this location for carry-out orders of beef tacos. They were always consistently good. Then my friends and I discovered their margaritas. Like the guy above stated, margaritas are half off on Tuesdays & Thursdays. I normally get a medium, which is a nice size for lil ol' me for only $4.50. The Blue Hawaiian, Strawberry and Mango (frozen, of course) are the best flavors. My husband swears by a medium Cadillac ' rita. The margaritas are always well blended and they pack somewhat of a subtle punch. And might I add that the punch is not so subtle once you manage to finish one margarita! I always want a second one but that would mean I'd have to almost crawl back to my car, but they sure are tasty! The food is just ok, the salsa and chips are ok. I only go on Tuesdays and after 9pm the place is packed with folks in their 20's and 30's, and there is always a wait for a table around that time. However, stop by around 7 that same night to snag a table; usually there are some families and older couples occupying the restaurant early in the night. Service is as expected on a busy night in the food industry, but the servers are usually prompt. My recommendation is to go here for the margaritas only! read more

My sister and I went here because we had a craving for fried ice cream and we called around to several area restaurants and this was the only one that said they had it. The one downside is that they in fact do not have fried ice cream; it's just a sundae with chocolate sauce and cornflakes. HOWEVER, the food was great and was an excellent value.
