Strong communication and problem-solving skills go a long way in resolving customer issues professionally. Here's what happened: In 2022, I signed up with Evergreen Disposal for twice-weekly trash pickup on Tuesdays and Fridays. For the past five years, that was the service I received. On Friday, June 26, 2026, my trash was not picked up. I initially assumed it was due to a missed payment, but I brought my account current. Then, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, my trash was missed again. When I called customer service, both the representative and Mr. Nick told me that my service was only supposed to include Friday pickups and that the Tuesday pickups had been provided "as a courtesy" for the past five years. That explanation simply doesn't make sense. If I had been receiving Tuesday pickups consistently for five years, it's reasonable to believe that was part of the service I originally signed up for. It was frustrating to suddenly be told otherwise and that I would now have to pay extra to continue receiving the same level of service. Because of this experience, I decided to cancel my service with Evergreen Disposal. My advice to potential customers is to keep copies of your service agreement, document all communications, and verify exactly what services you're paying for. It could save you from a similar situation in the future.

I called HEIL Plumbing when they opened at 07:30 hrs. I got a return call from Allison within 1 hour. She was able to schedule Eric (the younger) to come out the same day between 09:00 hrs and 13:00 hrs. Eric arrived at approximately 09:20 hrs. Eric quickly diagnosed the issue. This time, while he was running diagnostic checks to identify the issue, fortunately, the toilet clog cleared itself. He ran the check a number of times , including running the sink cold water to try to overload the waste line with water, to make sure that the clogged toilet was no longer an issue. Once he was satisfied that all was good, he let me know that the charge for today would be the general diagniostic charge of $95.00. Again, I was extremely satisfied with the entire process, from making an appointment, to Eric's arrival time, his pleasant demeanor and his professional knowledge. I would highly recomment Eric (the younger) with HEIL Plumbing for anyone who has a residential plumbing issue that they need to have addressed by a pleasant, knowledgeable professional.

Jury Duty perspective:…read more The court house opens at 7:30am regardless of what time your jury duty starts. For me orientation began at 8:30am.... didn't actually start until 9:10. I arrived to the parking lot at 7:43am and there was plenty of parking. The lot isn't huge though so if you wait until 8am or after you may not have a parking spot. With that being said the Rockville metro stop is within walking distance and is a great option. The building was pretty easy to find from the parking lot and a quick walk. Security was easy and took maybe a minute total. I didn't see any signs at security indicating where I should go but the security guard informed me to take the elevator to floor 2. Once upstairs it was obvious where to go. Once entering the jury lounge the jury commission helped me check in using a kiosk. You're able to choose if you want to donate your $15 or not. Unfortunately I was unable to donate due to my employer policy. *side note- make sure you fully understand your policy at work. Once in the lounge I recommend trying to avoid the mass crowd seating and go into the smaller room with comfortable chairs. Here you'll find outlets and the seats aren't as hard. There are computers for use location in the main room- I didn't use them but appreciate them. There was also magazines and vending machines for our use. While there's wifi it's pretty spotty with a million people trying to connect to it. I would recommend bribing a book or a movie to watch because you could be there a while.
