My saviors. Seriously. It's prime construction season and the last thing I needed when I jumped in the car with my fluffy puppy partner was a low tire; low and behold the DREADED low tire pressure light was on. After a quick stop, a lovely construction nail was determined to be the culprit. I quickly pulled over at a nearby Tire shop, who rudely blew me off and sent me on my way. A quick call to a Jeep dealer 14 miles away, I was told I could get in line when I got there right now and enjoy a 2.5 hour wait. I mad a quick call to Pep Boys. From the start they were above and beyond friendly; told me to come right in even though they were working with only one tech that day. They got me right in, gave me a full inspection report upon completion and got me on my way within 20 minutes. Seriously. This place has my business. This place tried to take advantage of my young daughter. She went to purchase a new tire, and in doing so they discovered her brake pad was very thin. They proceeded to replace her brake pad(s) WITHOUT GETTING HER PERMISSION FIRST! Then told her it would cost her about $500! My daughter (who knows how to change her own brake pads) told them she would just do them herself. Of course they were surprised by that response and had to run and tell whoever was working on the car to NOT change the pads (because she would do it herself). She went to the store and spent $45 on brake pads. Got home to find out there was at least half the brake pad still there! THEY TOTALLY TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER BECAUSE SHE's A YOUNG FEMALE! Called around coz my daughter needed new tires. These guys were warm and friendly over the phone, so we thought, ok why not. When we went there they even went to pick up the tires we needed from another location. They were very willing to work with us on price and just made us feel like they were treating us just like they would want to be treated. We had an appointment for Friday, May 12. Drove 45 minutes to get to Pep Boys to find a note on the door that they had to close early. Our appointment was for 10:30 am. I called them today and they stated that they didn't have any techs to work yesterday. It would have been okay with us if they had called to let us know that they couldn't service us yesterday instead of us finding a note on the door. We tried calling the corporate number but that was a nightmare to get through to a person and when I did they said someone would call back but they never did. Needless to say I will never go to Pep Boys again. read more

Awesome shop! I called AdvAuto and they couldn't tell me if they would be able to install the new battery, they welcomed me to buy it and put it in myself in the parking lot with three kids in tow. I called Pep Boys and they were fantastic and confident in their ability to handle the job. The whole process took an hour. The staff was all friendly, and treated my kids great. I stopped by this place to get an oil change which was way overdue . The service manager Chris was very professional and caring for the needs of my vehicle . Asked if anything need it to be checked other than the oil change such like the tires . He was very thorough explaining what was done to my vehicle specially with someone like me who does not know much about my vehicle . I took my car in to get an oil change and new filter. Everyone there was very nice and accommodating at the time. One month later, my car stopped in the middle of an intersection. After another mechanic looked at my car, he said the oil was so black and thick that it caused my solenoid to break and messed up my battery. My mechanic said by the look of the oil it was never changed or old oil was put in my car. When I called Pep boys to let them know what had happened they promised that my oil was indeed changed. How is that possible when my oil is so thick and black, just one month later? The manager brushed it off like it was no big deal and even offered to help with the now broken solenoid, which I believe was their problem that this even happened to my car. This has caused me to pay over $400 to fix the things I believe they wrecked. read more

Don't do it. They tried to scam my wife who had a coupon for synthetic oil change and tire rotation. Put in conventional oil, then told her, that is what is recommended. And failed to rotate the tires. read more

I ordered tires from these guys 2 months ago. I've never received a call from them to explain a delay other then we should be able to install in about a week. Id call every 2 weeks as id never hear anything from them only to be told when id call them to check in that they keep ordering my tires and they say they are in stock and then they don't come in and go out of stock. Mind you were in MN where its dangerous to drive in the winter on Bald Tires. Had I known it would take 2+ months to get tires I would have said no problem ill go elsewhere as there is many Black Friday deals. After calling in 3 times to check on my tires and waiting 6+ weeks I finally said its time to get me who is the customer whos waited more then patiently for them to resolve their ordering issue a different set of equal or better tires for the same price. The response was offensive and appalling from the store manager telling me he can get me the same tire from anderson cooper essentially just not the one made specific for Pep Boys but it will not be as good of a deal and id have to pay more now then promised. I explained that I should be getting a same price that its not my fault at this point and I've been understanding. I was then told I'm not even a Pep Boys customer till the tires are in and on my car. Mind you in the last 12 months I've already spent money for 8 tires at Pep Boys and was ordering 4 more for a total of 12 tires in a 1 year period. Id assume that would "qualify me as a customer". I asked to speak to his boss and I was then told I don't have to give you my bosses number as I'm not required to do so if you got a problem with what I'm offering you call into 1800 Pep Boys but I'm not giving you my bosses information or having him give you a call. So I called into Corporate and filed a complaint and was told the area manager would call me right away that it was totally unacceptable to be talked to like that and that they were so sorry I've had to wait this long to get what I had ordered almost 2 months ago. 6 days later and still not a follow up call from the area manager and to make things worse I had to go somewhere with my 8 year old son and the roads are slick from a snowstorm and we slide off the road had to get pulled out and now my back is aggravated and sore. I called back into corporate only to have them tell me their notes in the system say the manager of the store who says I'm not a customer will call me by the 22nd in 4 days from now. Well if that doesn't tell you they don't care for your business when the area manager who is suppose to call you back doesn't even care to do his job and call and upset customer and pushed it back to the store manager who will call me 10 days later back after I called in and filed a complaint, then what does. I don't want to speak to a person who has total disregard as a customer and now I'm in medical pain. So after I write this review I'm heading to the doctor to have my back checked out, then to a mechanic to ensure I have no damage to my car and then from there if I have any damage to my back or car my next call will not be back to Pep Boys but will be to a lawyer. Stay far away from this company. Very poor at business, have no regard to the safety of the customer and I remember last time I bought tires the way the employee talked to customers calling in I was like uff I would fire my employee if he answered the phone and talked to a customer like that and that should have been my sign to not return as a customer but I wrote that experience off and went for the good deal again. Well you get what you pay for and you don't get treated like a valued customer at this place unless I guess you reach a certain threshold of spending and its more then 12 tires a year! read more
