I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.

After coming here for years to get oil changes on many different vehicles, my family has decided to…read morestop affiliating with this business as we continue to get ripped off unless someone challenges their final prices. Once it was for my sister getting her brakes replaced where they quoted her a MUCH higher amount than they did to my father for the same vehicle, and another time was today while trying to get a sensor reading on another one of our cars. We have come to find out that employees here have sexist attitudes and behaviors which is incredibly disappointing to see. The only reason they get 2 stars and not 1 was because they changed my oil. Nothing else. Today, my car got an oil change here and had a tire pressure sensor read. I had credit for a free oil change, and Darin quoted on the phone that the sensor reading would be $50. Awesome. So I show up to pick up the car, they say it's going to be $76 something dollars. They told me the 25 other dollars were "fees". I politely asked what the 25 dollars of "fees" entails as that's not what I was originally quoted, and he said "environmental disposal fees". Why is there an environmental disposal fee for sensor reading? I expressed my frustration saying I was quoted something else, and they only fixed the price to what they told me at the beginning AFTER my father came inside and challenged them on it. And then suddenly it was all a-ok again, and Darin said "no harm, no foul". There was, though, as I would've been charged $25 in "fees" that I was not made aware of if I wouldn't have brought my dad inside to help me. They told my father and I that the $25 "fee" is on every single diagnostic check (they just conveniently didn't mention it when they originally quoted me $50), basically admitting they rip people off every single time. They also quoted me 175 dollars for a single TPMS sensor, what a joke! That is substantially more money than Discount Tire, which is where I will be going from now on for this type of thing. We will not be coming back any longer. It's clear they take advantage of people not knowing that other prices are available at other car repair shops. My father loved bringing our cars here as it was close to our house but after today he said he is no longer interested in business with them, same goes for my sister and I. They reached out to me yesterday, a week after I posted the complaint, saying they called me and left a voicemail, which they did not do. Don't go here!

I love this automotive company. Here's just a FEW reasons why:…read more * Service: They treat all their customers with respect. They care about relationships and building trust. They openly communicate through every service experience and always go above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy, satisfied, and understanding of the service performed. I especially love how they also treat my car with great respect and care. They do a fabulous job at not getting the interior dirty or greasy, which is hard when you're working under those conditions that are not the cleanest. I really really like this element. Quality: If at any point your unsatisfied or quality is not up to par they will bend over backwards to make it right. They pride themselves on quality across the board and it shows - from their craftsmanship, to employed team members, to service. The quality speaks volumes here. Value: They are ethically priced and will not do what it takes to ensure the customer spends more OR gets ripped off. They treat every customer with respect - male and female - and often times will proves additional incentives or discounts if the work order is high to ensure you get some money off. I love how they also offer a free oil change incentive after you get 5. It's a nice little perk and makes me feel great when I reach the free oil change. Small Biz Values: I appreciate their faith-based approach to how they operate their business. I'm a faith-driven person and respect companies who are able to operate to their personal standards, values, and moral compass. I like seeing the cards in the front office from local kids and satisfied customers expressing their thanks and gratitude. I love the music they play in the front office as well - very calming, encouraging and faith-driven. The last thing I love is the on-site rides they offer to customers who are getting work performed. It's so handy being able to be dropped off or picked up free of charge by them and shows they are valuing my time as well. This is a great automotive company that supports our local communities and does such a great job of lifting up the values of other small businesses around them. Thank you Christian Brothers Automotive for always striving for perfection and treating me as a dedicated customer!!

Precision Tune Auto Care - One of many chips in the paint from this wash.

We've also learned that they have absolutely no concern about the false advertising for the Touch Free wash! Once you pull in that bay and realize that there are brushes, you are at the mercy of the damage that they can, and likely will do! Details regarding how well they honor their obligation to properly remedy the situation. ... Let's start with the plastic trim around the front wheel well being pulled off; that was noticed right away. When my daughter went over to Precision Tune to address it, the manager stated, "Oh no, what did it do now?". He assured her that it would be taken care of. She had to get to work so this conversation ended well up to that point. When she got to work, she had enough time to take a closer look at her truck; paint was chipped all over! The hood, the roof, the sides, the back; everywhere! She went there the next day and told them that she found some more damage to address. They said that they did too: They handed her a mud flap from her truck. When she pointed out the chips in the paint, they told her that she was going to get a paint job. Great news, right?! Wrong! From that point on their communication all but dried up! After a couple of days (2/5), I stopped by to follow up on their commitment to take care of her. They changed their minds: They claimed that their sign stating "at driver's risk" absolved them of any responsibility to repair the damage. I confirmed that their sign on the bay door indicates that the wash is touch free; they concurred. Then I confirmed that once a vehicle is in the bay, and the driver realizes that there are brushes, there is no way out and the driver's vehicle is at the mercy of the washing machine; again, they concurred. They told me to call the corporate office. I called and left a message for their customer service department: They returned my call within the hour. The gentleman was polite and understood where we were coming from. He was going to contact the district manager and have them contact me; this was three days ago. Looks like a follow up call is due tomorrow (2/9). More to come ... (2/20/2024) "tomorrow" did not happen. I just spoke with a manager named Jacob; polite discussion. He reviewed an e-mail discussion with another manger named Alan and told me that they are not going to take care of the damage to my daughter's truck. They are deferring to sign on the bay door indicating that usage of the wash is at the driver's risk. Well? Not when that same bay door has a much larger sign that states that it is "Touchless", and (as previously stated) once you're in the bay and realized that it isn't there is no way to stop it or pull out with the exit door being closed! (3/13/2024 13:30) Today I saw that a reply to this review was posted on 3/10/2024. I called, as instructed, to continue this conversation. I spoke with Alan to find out who posted the message so that I could speak with them. He said that it was likely an area manager; perhaps Daryl. He then proceeded to reiterate their "at driver's risk" statement. I politely reminded him of the sign on the door about it being "Touchless", and how once you're in that bay (with both doors shut), you're at the mercy of the wash. I asked that whomever left that reply to this review to have them call me. He told me that he will let them know that they can call me: The phone number was confirmed. We shall see. (3/13/2024 20:30 2 new photos) Via the BBB they sent a photo of their "at risk" sign. Out of curiosity, I went there to see it. To my surprise, the bay door had duct tape over everywhere that stated "free"! Well?! Which sign do they stand by?! (3/14/2034) Message via BBB: "From the Business on Thursday, March 14, 2024 We are doing nothing. Thanks Doug" So Doug and his company don't stand by their word! Thanks for the warning! ... We had spoken with the MN Attorney General's office about this two weeks ago (2/8/2024) and have been following their suggestions to remedy this situation. Now we follow their next suggestion which to fill out their form with all of these details (including estimates of the damage) and let them take care of this for us. The form is filled out and ready to submit. One other approach was recommended. Even though this Precision Tune is not an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), they do keep track of complaints and offer some issue-resolution services. The form was submitted and accepted by them on 2/29/2024; they have 20 days to reply to the multiple attempts by the BBB. ** NOTE to anyone else who has had this happen to them at this wash, work with the Attorney General's office to get the matter taken care of if you have anything happen to your vehicle and they are not properly responding to your situation. Consumer protection is a priority of theirs!
