After two family members completed braces with this business I made a pragmatic decision to send my…read moretwo other kids to a different orthodontist. This decision wasn't based on quality of work. Orthadontia isn't heart surgery and you're likely to get the same great results no matter who you end up using. The outcomes met expectations. What is dodgy are their billing practices, aggressive pressure to get your kids into "two-stage" braces (basically paying for braces twice), and repeated sales calls trying to get your other kids into braces asap was all just too much... Oh and don't get me started with their billing department consistently trying to bill our insurance company even though they already hit the payment limit long ago. Don't they realize that I get an email from my insurance company every time someone tries to bill against the insurance? My other kids have braces now from a different Orthodontist. Surprisingly the new orthodontist said "two stage" wasn't applicable in their cases. Tip - If your orthodontist pressures you into two-stage braces from day one get a second opinion. Two-stage braces should be the exception, but more and more orthodontist groups are making it the default recommendation.

Right off the bat, the woman on the phone was so sweet, polite, and was able to answer all of my questions in a heartbeat. Instead of having to wait a week to schedule my appointment they had openings the same week! I ended up scheduling for 2 days out. When the day arrived, I drove to the office using google maps. It was very easy to find since the side of the building said Hulse Orthodontics. The parking lot was very spacious and had ample parking available. Right when I walked in, I was so amazed by the interior design. It was so modern, rustic, and comfortable. Basically - nothing like all the other dental offices I've been to. Instead of a dental office, I felt like I was in a new home showing. I could tell that the office was very kid friendly because there was a separate section for arcade games, what?! I walked up to the front desk and the woman already knew it was me even though it was my first time! I had already filled out the forms beforehand so I handed her those and got checked in within a minute. After about 3-5 minutes, another staff member grabbed me to go do all of my scans. This is a predominantly female staffed office FYI. Everyone was super nice and seemed to enjoy working at this office. ********************* ORTHO CONSULT: I can go on and on about my experience, but I just wanted to say that Janelle and Dr. Hulse was AMAZING during the consult. They told me the good, the bad, and what I should expect. Janelle was so knowledgeable and answered all of my teeth and insurance questions without any hesitation. Overall every staff member I met today were very kind, smart, and professional. I wish they did general dentistry here too, but unfortunately only orthodontia. Dr. Davis was the only orthodontist who suggested a different approach. He believed that an unerupted tooth could still be brought down naturally and proposed creating space first to allow that tooth to erupt properly. The treatment took a long time, but the results were worth it. Not only was he able to avoid unnecessary extractions, but my son's bite and facial balance improved significantly. As a parent, I could not have been happier with the outcome. The reason I have so much confidence in Dr. Davis is not simply because the treatment worked. I have a family member who is an orthodontist, which gave me access to professional opinions throughout my son's treatment process. I was specifically advised to find an orthodontist experienced in treating complex Class III cases, and Dr. Davis was the only orthodontist who identified the issue and recommended the same treatment approach before I even mentioned what I had been told. That gave me confidence that his diagnosis was based on his own expertise and experience rather than simply following a standard treatment plan. In my opinion, Dr. Davis focuses on long-term dental health and facial harmony rather than simply straightening teeth. That level of experience and clinical judgment is rare. After seeing the transformation in my son's smile and facial profile, I consider him one of the most skilled orthodontists I have encountered. In fact, I am now considering bringing my younger child to the practice as well, even though his case is much more routine and there are many orthodontists closer to our home. My only hesitation is the front office experience. While I have tremendous respect for Dr. Davis and his clinical expertise, I often found communication with Miranda challenging. There were times when I left conversations feeling discouraged rather than reassured, which can be difficult for parents managing years of orthodontic treatment. That said, the quality of the orthodontic care itself has been excellent, and I believe improvements in patient communication would make the overall experience even better. If I were evaluating this practice solely on orthodontic expertise, diagnosis, and treatment outcomes, I would highly recommend Dr. Davis. The results speak for themselves.
