Possibly my new favorite Penzey's!! They have two different entrances - one with a ramp, the other with stairs. The place is so wide open and they have a cute area for kids to play, draw, etc. Really loved the elevator and how they set up the space. Staff were very friendly and they have had consistently great spices/ seasonings. You can usually save if you sign up for their emails. read more

Very kid friendly, see picture. Free stickers for kids. Service - 6 stars, I wish I got his name. Friendliest sales person I have met in a long time. Poor service and poor quality products. Very disappointed in the quality of the products that we received. And the service, they could care less if we were there or not. read more

Such a great store. We have been to several locations including Naperville Il and Brookfield wi but this is the nicest store. It really large and well laid out. I was not aware it was here and it was a great surprise to happen upon it. You can stop in and not buy a bunch of stuff. The service was excellent and the store is great. read more

I love Penzeys Spices so much! Not only do I use all of their delicious spices in my cooking, but I love their message of love, caring and hope. Such a positive, inclusive company. Their Cedarburg store is huge, and so welcoming. Love the products and this place! read more

On a day trip to Cedarburg, which I highly recommend, we stopped in the Penzeys Spice shop and left with some extraordinary spices. The super helpful staff helped us find the mixes we now use just about every day. We will gladly make the trip to replenish our spices as the shop experience is worth the drive :) read more

The store smells so wonderful, all products are displayed in a thoughtful manner and service was excellent. The spices are the BEST!

Friendly staff, excellent products, beautiful displays. This is a wonderful place to explore new spices and recipes. I appreciate that they have a wheelchair/stroller entrance (to left if main door). read more

Wonderful people! Everything they do here is top-notch. Can't say enough about the owner.

Hope you enjoy your declining sales, aka your Budweiser moment! I will never shop a non-America supporting business. And your spices are nothing special anyway! Very stale! read more

I just went onto the website to buy a specialty spice I was looking for from a list provided on the internet. I forgot this was the place that has an "about Republicans" on their home screen with a diatribe that makes one concerned about the mental state of the author. No thanks. Amazon it read more

I stopped shopping here several years ago after reading numerous and repeated political tirades against conservatives. They obviously didn't care about my business and continued support. I have since discovered a new Spice Company, called "My Spice Sage" which is excellent. I encourage others to order their spices there if you feel that Penzys has abandoned you as a customer. read more

High quality spices, outstanding customer service, awesome sales-sign-up for the newsletters-it's worth it! For those who have plastered negative reviews here because the owner values love over hate and fascism and tells the TRUTH about the pathological liar slimeball with the brain cells of a fruit fly that is, and always has been, Donald Trump... It's time to ask yourself WHY you support this jackass who is unqualified to take care of a goldfish and the new Republican Party who CARES NOTHING ABOUT YOU. Check neutral news sources, people. THINK for yourselves for once. Look up FACTS from neutral sources. When you have finally grown tired of the bullshit lies and constant rage from these losers, the rest of us will be waiting for you...we have a light on for you... Come on over and laugh and find some damn hope and positivity. We can all argue later about issues. read more

I have been a Penzey customer for a good number of years. This is the store I frequent the most as it is the closest to my home and I love Cedarburg in general. I also visit the DT Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and Hartland stores when I have business or errands in those areas, although those visits are infrequent. I also order online frequently as I am an adventurous cook who loves to enhance my meals with good spices and go through them kind of quickly. How quickly? Just check out my last 10 on line orders in the pic. Online ordering is easy and awesome-try the gift boxes too. My family and friends love them. This store, as well as the others I patronize, is clean and well organized. The scent of all those wonderful products is heavenly. Pricing is in line with other businesses that specialize in fresh pure spices. The staff at this store is always friendly and helpful and I found the same to be true of the other stores that I have patronized. Try Penzey spices - you won't be disappointed. (P.S. Sorry for being a bit wordy - I am posting a review of all the stores I visit and online ordering here because YELP didn't seem to like it when I posted good reviews for each of them individually and removed them all a day or so ago, including my first one for this store in 2023. Maybe they will let this one stand). read more

Penzeys Spices - my last 10 orders - Herbs & Spices Near Me - Cedarburg, Wisconsin

I wish there was a way to give 1/2 a star. Received product (delivery was timely but took a week to place order). It was obvious when I received the spices that it had been reused. In these covid times I did not want to take a chance. Tried to get a replacement and it would have cost me more to return so I trashed it and went somewhere else. Bummer. Do not recommend. read more

After being a in store customer for 20+ years I opted in for email alerts about specials and sales. I quickly found out that Penzeys Spices demonized one political party unfairly because of the personal views of the few in charge. I'm not political and took this as an insult to all who don't have the same view as Penzeys Spices few top C Suite personnel. Find another non partisan spice supplier that embraces all customers and all view points, or the ones that don't mix business and politics. Something for all to think about. Be kind to All. read more

I have been using Penzey's spices for many years. I love the quality of their products as well as the customer service. As an avid cook, the large selection of different, high quality spices is important to me. The culture of the company and their love of our country is another reason I want to support this business. They offer excellent sales which includes gift cards at a reduced price. These make excellent gifts, I just put in an order for my Christmas gift needs. read more

Someone suggested your online store for spices since I love to cook, but after I heard about Penzey's demonizing one political party...! am not interested. Your company can say whatever it wants on the website, but I would rather use a company that focuses all its energy on making a superb product and keeps its political views....silent. read more

penzey's has the best spices, the greatest variety, the most friendly staff. no matter which Penzey's I have visited. and we try to find Penzeys wherever we travel. their spices make great gifts and also great for fundraisers. such as for history centers, schools. Because we live outside a metro area we often have spices shipped, they arrive so quickl! Very impressive. . And absolutely love their love of our country! Their care for our democracy. Keep it up! read more

This is the newest of the Penzeys stores. It's located in historic downtown Cedarburg (the entire downtown is on the National Registry of Historic Places.) Penzeys is located in what was a furniture store, in fact, it was an undertaker's shop with furniture as a sideline when the business was founded. The building has a lot of character, including beautiful maple floors and open ironwork. The freight elevator, inoperable, is used for display. Being a former furniture store, there is a large display window that doesn't lend itself very well for packages of 2 or 4 ounces, but the company name is tastefully emblazoned on the glass. Being a spice store, your nose goes into olfactory glee when you enter. Spices are attractively displayed, each spice is packaged in several sizes but each spice is also displayed in an apothecary jar, with an explanation of the spice. You can open each apothecary jar an inhale the delightful aroma. If you are a serious foodie, this is a necessary supplier of the freshest spices to turn mundane meals into culinary delights. read more

This Penzey's store is absolutely beautiful - they bought an old furniture store and completely remodeled the interior but left some of the old elements intact (including a freight elevator from the 20's). It's an open, airy space with plenty of room to browse, taste and smell the products. I needed a restock on some basics and found everything I needed and then some. They really do have every spice and herb you've ever heard of and many that you haven't - plus there are spice blends, salad dressing bases and soup starters galore. If you're trying to be healthy, there are a good number of no-salt blends that add a ton of flavor to dishes. Or, there's a spice mix to add to frozen pizza so it doesn't taste like cardboard crap. I'll be honest - my personal preference is the Spice House for spices - I think they're a little cheaper and I love their staff, but I won't say no to Penzey's if I'm nearby. read more

Eat with your nose! You know the old saying, that we eat with our eyes. This isn't quite possible at Penzeys. However, you can guarantee that you'll eat with your nose in this remodeled storefront in downtown Cedarburg. Spices have been a traded commodity for thousands of years. We shouldn't take advantage the amazing benefit of having a leading spice business in the MKE area. This particular location is large, airy, and gloats the attractive quality of western general stores. Hardwood floors, an antique elevator, and bright lighting provide a fantastic backdrop for this spice leader. What? You don't cook? Do yourself a favor and leverage the knowledge of the staff to identify your likes. Need to impress a special someone with your cooking know-how? Mother-in-law in town and you need to throw something together that will make her envious? Throwing a Super Bowl party and want to whip up a rock star dip? Go no further. They'll even give you easy recipes to put your purchase to good use. Be sure to subscribe to their free magazine. They give away spices with a minimal purchase. The mag is full of ideas and lots of knowledge behind their wide array of inventory. read more

The best quality of spices ever! Definitely worth the price-they have elevated my cooking. You can find almost anything here, unlike the store. What's not to love about Penzey's and it's latest addition to the Cedarburg downtown main street. The place is great to walk through with various areas that focus on different spices for baking, cooking ethnic food, etc. I love the baking area since it is set in the 50s with the old decor. Penzeys is a perfect into into Cedarburg and adds all the value of the huge space with all the spices across the street from the butcher and next to the bakery. Great spices, helpful people, and a local brand - that's a lot of positive things going for them. read more

I love Penzy. I am a life long resident of Cedarburg. This location used to be an old boring furniture store. I was elated to see that a different kind of business was coming. Since Penzy opened I am a regular customer. The interior design is a mix of vintage industrial with modern influences. From the exotic spice to simple dried ingredients this is your place. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. read more

This gem served as my sanctuary during Strawberry Fest. It's new, airy, and nicely done. They kept the industrial touches while making it suitable for the less modern (it's sorta like an Alterra for spices). It feels silly reviewing this place because it is so nice, but credit is due. If they start serving food, it will rival the Anvil Pub & Grille for nicest use of an old building in Cedarburg. read more
