AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! They are the worst..they have ruined my daughters granite job done by Lowes. They were the outsourced fabricator. They measured it wrong and cut it wrong and now refuse to fix it. I had to call them daily to get on the schedule. We had to measure the job 3 times and so we kept getting pushed back. I started this in August,paid for it in October and it's still not in! Dylan in sales is the worst...never returns calls, makes excuses, etc. Abby his boss was terrible...no follow up, excuses and then told me she I needed to call Lowes since I contracted with them. I hired this company through Lowes to install a quartz composite countertop in a rental unit. The counter looks okay, but you can still see the seams. Not the kind of job I am used to. Lowes makes you pay upfront, so I will never go there again. There was one problem after another. The contact person at Pentagon was polite, but couldn't seem to get anything right. After many delays and frustration, they completed the job, but left my three story building interior covered with dust. My garage, all my carpets, two cars, tile foyer, bannister, two apartments and more. Then they walked away. These people try, but they are not professional. They have no pride in their work or worksite cleanliness. It's like they are constantly tripping over their own feet. No I have to pay again to have all of this stuff cleaned. read more

Over a Month without countertops and and still waiting. They cancelled the installation yesterday could not tell me why and could not give me a new installation date. I have called numerous times today and left messages for both Katie and Andrea. They do not follow up timely or provide answers. I tried to talk to a manager yesterday and I was told they will be in a meeting and they do not know what time the meeting will end. I did the request through Home Depot, try any other company 10/30- I am updating my review to let everyone know they are a no call no show to an installation that should have happened today between 12-4. 11/6-Still no contact and no news on an installation date. As others have mentioned, I too experienced scheduling issues. I was told my original appointment was "on August 15 at 9 and 1." I took that to mean they'd arrive at 9 and be done by 1. No. Those 4 hours are their arrival window! Please just say They'll arrive between 9 & 1! So, when they hadn't arrived by 9:30, I called. I was told they'd be leaving shortly. A few minutes later I got a call back. They weren't coming. One piece had been cut too short! How does this happen?? I'd ordered the quartz counters in June from HD & they were finally installed today. The 2 workers, who never did give me their names, arrived on time & seemed to be working efficiently. They removed the wood underlayment that was under the tile counters I was having removed which exposed all the drawers. After they left I noticed that every drawer has a good amount of dust & grit in them that they did not bother to clean before leaving. Why didn't they cover the exposed areas?? Sloppy. While I'm glad to finally have my counters installed, they need to do better in clean up before they leave. Oh, and they damaged the top of a wooden file cabinet. Totally took the finish off & didn't bother to mention it. Thanks for that. @@ I'm left to wonder why HD subs their jobs out to a one star company?? Ridiculous! read more

If I could give no stars, I would. I was supposed to have counter tops installed 11/5. Never showed up I had to CALL THEM. To get the response oh sorry we had to cancel. They have not returned my calls as to when my appointment is rescheduled. I haven't had a kitchen since May and this is the worst process I have ever been through. I don't know what to tell the kids for thanksgiving. But thanks pentagon you're a real help. The only person I could get a hold of was the sales manager who is just as useless of a human being as Andrea or Katie. Steer clear of this place that works along side Home Depot. I have called Home Depot corporate to get involved with this horrible 3rd party company. Left a complaint with the BBB. I suggest anyone else who has experienced this issue do the same. read more

Home Depot in Windsor contracts with this company. The installers were really nice and respectful guys, BUT they are not pros. Horrible, non-professional work and defective Caesarstone. Also, left a sparkling new stainless steel sink filthy and full of goo!!! We were told not to put anything on the counter for 24 hours and we didn't. When I started to look at the surface, I noticed stuff like dark spots, concentric circles, dirty fingerprints and each day more stuff started to show up. A piece was cut off because it was poorly measured at their workshop. That piece got wet on one end and the wet spot doesn't go away. We were told that this substance was easy to clean!!! I don't understand why companies just can't take responsibility for their mistakes. Today Pentagon Surfaces came out and installed our countertops that I purchased through Home Depot back in June. In fact I purchased a whole new kitchen from Home Depot. The installers damaged my new cabinet putting the countertop in. When I contacted Kristal at Pentagon Surfaces she said to send her pictures and she'd review with management. She responded by telling me " I sent them to management and they stated that would be considered incidental damages and would need to be taken care of by the homeowner. " I replied no- your installers damaged it and I want it fixed. Then I got a reply from her telling me to contact Home Depot since I went through them for the countertops. So unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't use these guys at all. Take some responsibility Pentagon Surfaces. Also, when I pointed this out to the installer he said- yeah that happens sometimes. Oh okay, since it's not your house who cares then??? Sounds like he does this a lot. They suck!!! read more

Used by Home Depot. They did our counter installation (via homedepot). Did sloppy job for us. Damaged drywall. Long installation wait time. Seams are not done well, very much visible [ contrcat to what Home Depot claimed] No complain about quality of measurement, and communication with their office, way better than homedepot, at least they talk/discuss/listen to your issue and professional. But any mistake and incidental damage do cost time and $ for homeowner..and distress!! read more

I had to call multiple times to get on the schedule. Unfortunately, the lack of communication was the BEST part about working with them. Our kitchen counters were on the schedule to be delivered Monday, two days ago. They never showed up. No call, nothing, just a no show. Again, that's the best part. On Tuesday, I started calling. I called every number I could find. When I finally got someone on the phone, I was told that they would look into it and get back to me. Ummm, of course they didn't. So, I gave them a few hours, then called again. Here's where it got really fun. Not. Turns out, as of Monday, Pentagon is no longer installing for Lowes. Lots more phone calls. Where are my countertops? Who knows. No one. Lowes thinks they were picked up by the new installer. Got a number and name, but the new installer has ZERO internet presence. Zero. Called the number, got a voice mail attached to a woman's name. Call back from them? Nope. No idea where my countertops are, or when an install might happen. And of course, everything, install included, was paid for in advance. Not great. read more

Despite all of the bad reviews, I took the gamble and ordered countertops from Lowe's to be installed by Pentagon services. A day or two after putting my order in I was contacted by Pentagon for a measuring appointment the window was drastic 12 to5 specifically but the individual showed up right at 12 PM. The material took about one to get in and two weeks after that was my install day. The installers were phenomenal very clean customer oriented and minimal damage when removing the old backsplash from the drywall. No dents in any of my cabinetry or walls. The price point for custom fabricated countertops is unbeatable read more

Purchased our countertops through homedepot the last week in August, the earliest installation date I was offered by Pentagon was November 7th. I was not notified the day prior to install confirming an appointment window. We left messages with Andrea but never received a call back. I went down to Home Depot at noon, they called Andrea and she answered immediately. Andrea told the HD rep our appointment was in fact that day and the window was 1-4. No one ever showed up. At 5pm I went back to HD and had the rep call Andrea again, no answer. The rep called a different Pentagon account manager, no answer. Then she called the Vice President, he answered. She gave him my direct number so we could coordinate directly. It's been 14 hours and he has not called. I'll take this down if I get my countertops installed. I will report back later. read more

We are having our counter tops fabricated at this company through Home Depot in Vacaville, CA after Duracite company fell through. I'll let you know how it goes. The measurement was done October 5, 2018 by chad. Still waiting for seam approval and a call to schedule installation. No contact with Pentagon as of today. Latest update as of 11/27/18 @ 1:25 pm: so the installer came over with a helper. He was polite and careful not to damage any of my property. The island and separate counter were completed just fine, however, the installer incorrectly measured the cooktop and it had to be taken back to the shop in Manteca, CA to be completely. I've contacted Pentagon to see if they can finish the job today, but it seems they will have to schedule this for a different day to finish the job. So annoying, but mistakes happen. The other pieces do look good. Just waiting to see what's next at this point. For this, I had to take a star away. 11-29-18 @ 6:44 pm: Pentagon sent new installer to complete the job. He did a great job. Overall, Pentagon delivered a good product. Pentagon offered to have install done the 9th, but due to my schedule it was done this week. So, it didn't take unreasonably long to complete and I am very happy with the product. I will take away one star based on wanting more communication with Pentagon re: fabrication and installation; and small hiccups along the way. My biggest gripe is with Home Depot, but I think that will be ironed out over time. read more

To make a very long story short I would highly recommend that you find any one else but Pentagon Surfaces to do your stone work. After four attempts to make a correctly sized niche I gave up and accepted one that was almost correct. They would not return any calls I made to find out when they would be returning to complete the job. I was without the bathroom for over fours weeks. Absolutely one of the worst customer service received. Pentagon does the final installation of the granite countertop after initiating the order with Home Depot and procuring the granite to be cut. The final step - by Pentagon Surfaces - was a nightmare. Not so much the installation at our home though they did arrive later than expected and did not call a half hour before hand so we could be there as instructed, but rather the very lack of communication by Danelle in the main office. Whether by phone or email - both repeated over several days - no response. There's got to be another company that can do this work - would not go with Pentagon again. Or the owner shoulder listen to the complaints and get someone in the office who returns calls and emails regarding scheduling. read more

Update: 12/17/18 the installers CAME!! On time and did an excellent job installing our quartz countertops! They were very professional & did a good job cleaning up and were very customer friendly. So, we were unable to cancel our order. Not pushy enough, I guess. Katie eventually called to reschedule for today. "They will arrive between 9 and 1." It's almost 3 and we haven't heard from them. No show, and no cancellation call either. Called Home Depot to report. Ken said he'll have his manager look into it and they will call back. I asked Ken 2 questions: 1. How many times are we expected to put up with this? 2. If the quartz is already cut, can we just get it and have it installed ourselves? Plus: We signed a contract that we acknowledge an extra $200 charge if we were not here for the measuring or installing dates. We expect $400 to be taken off of our account for having them be "no shows" twice. We'll see... Just wanted to add: Went to their useless website. You'll all love the "On Time" banner and great reviews. I tried every link. They were all dead. read more

DON'T DO IT. They installed some countertops for me. First of all the Company's business model is to hire unskilled, cheap labor. My installers were not professional, did not speak English, and did a very substandard job. They ruined the material I chose for countertops. Came back 3 times to "fix" it. It cannot be fixed. Pentagon surfaces is a cheap installer for Lowes. I was always hesitant to use a Lowes installer who was from Manteca and I live in Visalia, how could they be so cheap? I now know how, they do the job in 3 hours, throw it together and hope you don't complain. its a long story so I will make it short- ordered countertops through home depot. pentagon surfaces are the ones with that contract. They came out to measure for counter tops . they made a 8-12 pm appointment window. they didn't show up until 7pm that night!!!!! ( I called during the day with no answer) . left after 9pm. Day of install- again they made a 8-12 appointment window( I asked if this was doable considering the last time) they didn't show up until 430pm!!!!- During the install we noticed a huge chunk out of the middle of a slab of quartz. so I got the center island installed but nothing else. I was told I would receive a call in the morning to arrange a new install time and day. IM STILL WAITING FOR A CALL!!!! that was 4 days ago. I have called multiple times with no answer and I leave a message. I had a plumber come and disconnect my kitchen sink and dishwasher for this and now I have to get him back just to reconnect them so we can have a somewhat functioning kitchen. this company is a joke. do not use these guys!!!!! read more

I just read all the horror stories and mine is exactly the same. They didn't show for an appt. on 11/7 between 9-1,even though I had talked to Katie the day before to confirm. Didn't matter. To add to the displeasure they haven't even called . They don't answer when called. I tried all their extensions. Home Depot hasn't been able to help either, no call backs, no resolution, no future appts. I would like to cancel and get refund which I will try next. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would!!!! We had planned on having an entire house worth of quartz counters put in. Well it was a ton of money to us but we moved forward. We are over 8 weeks in like maybe 3 months with measurements. They cancelled the measurement appointment twice for sick calls. Then after they began they did not bring all the countertops or backsplash. To add insult to injury they put the wrong counters in the wrong rooms. To move forward we are at the 6th appointment for install because they keep bringing the incorrect stone or the wrong sizes. We have other trades that have been waiting for weeks to finish and we can move forward. So yesterday management swore that it would completed and guess what they showed up with the wrong size backsplash yet again. Not slightly off but it was 33" and supposed to be 46". They said they were going to go back to the shop and cut it again and come back. No call no show and can't seem to reach anyone. I have worked with 3 people through this process and people keep being "no longer works here". I am not sure this is ever going to get completed not sure what to do. I am so broken hearted. We have been without a stove for months waiting for them. Do not use this company!! read more

Horrible experience with this company . Came out with our counter tops , two slabs came in different colors . Took over 2 weeks to get the second set out , these came out with a crack which they wanted to repair . Third set came out and they didn't install because they said it was measured wrong by them ! These slabs sat here for another 2 weeks . I can go on and on with all the issues we had with them . We have everything all installed but the quality of this quartz is not what we expected and we paid over $8,000 for them . Dullness and cut marks are very apparent . They have horrible customer service, we had to call over and over to get them to respond ! read more

Pentagon contracted with Home Depot. Home Depot tried to pressure me into a countertop I didn't want but Pentagon corrected this so I got the correct countertop. BUT they told me I would have to shut off the water to my whole building and I had to give notice to 19 households and it turned out to not be true. They also didn't tell you how to prepare but I read these reviews and saw that you should protect the floors. The person on the phone gave almost no useful information. But then Humberto the installer showed up (their commute is 2 hours to the Bay Area) and Humberto was very good at what he does. There seem to be no seams, he solved a problem so the faucet could fit, no residue on the floor. Lookin good! They don't tell you that they put an adhesive down that smells horrible for a day or so but then it dissipates. If it wasn't for Humberto this company would have terrible reviews but he is a pro. read more

Actually -5 stars. Purchased through Home Depot and was willing to wait for installation. When they did finally give me a date they arrived at 3:30 for an eight hour job. They didn't finish so i needed another date. From there it was a waiting game with me doing all of the calling. Blew off the next date. The next time didn't measure correctly and needed to re-fabricate 2 splashes. Took more than a month to complete job and when they did the guy was in such a hurry to get to his next job that he didn't finish caulking. I had custom built and entertainment unit through Home Depot back in June 2018. Pentagaon Surfaces came out to measure the counter 4 weeks ago. I was told it would take approximately 2 weeks to get the countertop cut and installed. I called and spoke with someone at Pentagon and was told that the truck was coming in today and that I would get a call to schedule install. It has been 4 weeks and nothing!!! I have called Pentagon and have left numerous messages with no return phone call. I finally called Home Depot- and was told they would send a message out to Pentagon to give me a call. Again nothing! I called again this morning- finally got a live person who tells me she has a pile of folders on her desk of people to call and that she would get back to me. Apparently, Home Depot decided to switch from Duracite to this company. Pentagon has terrible costumer service and Home Depot should have never switched companies. This is the worst process. They dont return any phone calls and really dont care about customer service. Time Home Depot get another company. read more

Ugh - I am reading the reviews and getting pretty worried. We, too, are being forced to use Pentagon for our granite installation for our kitchen and bathrooms, purchased many months ago at Home Depot. Pentagon was scheduled to come out and install the counter tops last Thursday (Oct. 18) but called that day to say that they broke one or more pieces the night before, and had to order new slabs. They sent me a photo of the new slabs and said they would be getting them on Monday. Since then, I've tried to contact them at least 6 times, to find out when they will be back out to do the installation. They are not returning my calls! Our house is nearly done with the exception of the counter tops - I cannot install my appliances or sinks of finish plumbing or back splashes until the counter tops are installed. All I want is for them to tell me when. My guess is that they are completely overwhelmed and behind. read more

We made the EPIC mistake of working through Lowes for a small kitchen remodel, the bulk of which was a quartz counter top. Not only is Lowes the absolute worst, Pentagon did nothing to be sure they had what they needed from the Lowes contractor to get the process started. They "failed" us on their "Templar"s first visit when they promised to arrive between "12-4" and arrived at 5:30pm. The tech was not good at customer service and had zero insight on the incident. When we finally got Lowes to sort out the problem the next day it was totally about failed communication on Pentagon's part, Lowes part and the General Contractor. However, it seems to have completely escaped all their notice that it is us, the customer, who was being punished. When it was agreed by Lowes to push this project to resolution, Pentagon could have cared less. DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SERVICE FROM PENTAGON AND NEVER NEVER NEVER GO THROUGH LOWES FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN YOU WILL BE LEAVING THE STORE WITH. We, the customer, must now wait (having already wasted a full vacation day from work which I will never get back) another week and waste our Saturday, from "12-4", waiting for the measurement to be done. This means another two weeks before they even get the stone cut. We paid people on 7.4.2018 and here we are on 9.10.2018 and they haven't even measured. SHAME SHAME SHAME...by the way, don't expect anyone to care that the customer, their only reason for having a business, is so low on the hierarchy they don't count anymore. I can only hope they receive this kind of treatment when they are a customer and learn it is the worst kind of business to do. read more
